Respect for allowing megas. Did a nuzlocke of this game with no megas, made it all the way to Steven with only like 2 deaths all game, and got outsped and swept by his Metagross. Run over. Came back with mega Swampart & Banette and smacked the elite four for fun. Such a great game

Oh, for sure, let's go for that Delta Episode!! Also, don't forget the other starters you can get (only Johto ones you can get for the run, though), try to get at least shiny Johto starter!! The trick is to after the Zinnia encounter, enter your house, and then save just before exiting your house to start the shiny hunt!
EDIT: Oh, to save time, after the Zinnia encounter, go leave a Pokemon in the box in the Pokemon Center BEFORE you re-enter your house, so the Pokemon leaves in your party. Hope this helps IF you do the Delta Episode :)

Shiny Trapinch was one of the first shiny Pokémon I’ve ever caught, and I caught mine on the exact same route that you caught yours, while trying to go through it without repels. Unfortunately I forgot about him and deleted my save as I was bored, and at the time I didn’t have Pokémon Home. RIP Shiny (yeah that’s actually what I named it, I sucked at nicknames) to this day whenever I see a shiny Trapinch I think of Shiny, and feel nostalgic.

Awesome video! I’m currently working on a shiny only run myself however I’m doing it in Pokémon white so I have 1/8192 odds…I’ve gotten two shinies so far with a tepig and a pidove. I’m currently hunting for my 3rd member

Aha, in my last alpha sapphire video a couple months back I also named all my Pokemon after Attack on Titan characters. Don't have a ton of shiny hunting experience myself, but goodness these runs take such a huge amount of dedication aha.

Forgive me if I'm wrong, but doesn't the nuzlocke rules say you can only catch the first shiny encounter on each route/area? In that case you shouldn't have been able to get that zubat after failing the abra.
It depends on what restrictions are otherwise placed on a particular nuzlocke. If you're only catching a new Pokemon after each gym badge it is considered that the area restriction is lifted and you can hunt from anywhere. Because the entire point of one encounter per route is to limit how many total Pokemon you have access to, which the gym requirement already covers.
And because getting shinys is already so difficult at all this farther restricts the possible.
He is still taking whatever shines first in a particular area which would adhere to the spirit of the nuzlocke. But this is something that people can set up however they want and is not a subject that is open to rules lawyering as each person doing a challenge makes their own parameters.

Comecei a jogar o Omega Ruby também com o desafio de terminar só com pokémons shinys. Também consegui o Treecko e 15 dias depois consegui a poochyena shiny. Amo esse tipo de desafios, ganhou mais um inscrito! Abraços do Brasil

This happened to me, when alpha sapphire came out I wanted a female Torchic and after a few resets (like 10 or 11) I accidentally pressed Treeko. It was shiny and it was beautiful 😍😍
