The WB Network invested a lot of its time and resources to advertise the What I Like About You show. The production quality was high and the set was later remodeled, the introduction was refreshed and new characters were introduced. It wasn't the most watched show yet it was rerun often and was even included on the WB's Sunday night "Easyview." Amanda Bynes wanted something else to be a part of besides the Nickelodeon Network and The WB Network was acquiring talent from other networks including but not limited to the ABC and FOX Networks. The What A Girl Wants movie was a Warner Brothers production so it was natural to have it advertised often.
@@renegonzalez6755 Yeah it was one of my favorite shows and was my introduction to Bynes. I remember watching season 1 on DVD and being thrown off by the theme song being completely different. There was even one episode of the show where Holly and Tina compete for the spot in a commercial for some skin-care product and the woman who gets it is played by the same actress who was actually in those real-life adverts for the product(forget what it was, Neutrogena I think?).
interesting, didn't know WB had contests like that.
