Yep, back then when they first recorded "Jesus forevermore"..you sometimes couldn't tell the difference between her and Karen unless u were lookin at them..then as she got older and started preachin' more her range came down and her voice grew a little more raspy and she started to sound even more like Dr. Moss-Clark.

You MUST have a less than advanced ear. This evening contained some of her most musical and ACCURATE, well-executed singing (save her running out of breath at 1:03) ,and her voice sounds flawless.
No doubt, she learned mostly everything from twinkie..twinkie is phenomenal..however, it isn't rare that a student surpasses the teacher..she has the upperhand because she is the baby..she was able to take a little from each sister as she was growing up which is why she can do exactly what she does to them in this video lol.

I will give you this, Dorinda was the second lead in the group for a long time before Karen started leading more but Karen could always sing. She got her early licks and her squall from Twinkie and some of her improv ability from Twinkie but she was singing at an even younger age than Kiki started.
+Tyrell Curry Twinkie and Dorinda both taught Karen a LOT, as did Dr. Clark. Up until the 80s Karen was almost a hybrid of Twinkie and Dorinda. She started getting licks from Shirley Murdock and that is when her gift began to form an identity of its own. Twinkie poured into all of her sisters but most of it went into the two up under her, Dorinda and then Karen. Karen knows that without that foundation Twinkie gave her she would not be NEARLY as awesome as she is today and she reveres Twinkie for that reason. ALL the Clark Sisters revere Twinkie. +newcreature2011 sorry not to be rude but you took it the wrong way cuz I know Twinkie carried that group on her shoulders but y'all still basically taking credit from Karen from being her own person and individual like y'all basically calling her a copy machine that's printing twinkie and dorinda techniques... but when even the clark's sisters say it in the song "is my living in vain"...that Karen is the one that can sing her tail off and dorinda preaches Jacky is the hard worker and Twinkie is a talented musician that hears from god when she writes...like everybody has that gift that goes beyond average and Karen's is singing like I don't see how see copying like the self made echo's was original or did she copy that from twinke or dorinda too....like y'all know Karen can blow all them away if she really wanted to and was deep in the spirit
