I have a very important question.: Why are they charging Ohio Medical Marijuana patients sales tax, when imposing tax on prescribed medication is forbidden under Ohio law, including Medical Marijuana? The specific subsection related to prescription drugs states: ORC 5739.02(B)(18): "The tax does not apply to the sale of drugs for a human that may be dispensed only pursuant to a prescription, drugs to be dispensed to a human pursuant to a prescription by a licensed health professional authorized to prescribe drugs, insulin, medical oxygen, or disposable or single-use medical supplies used in the treatment of medical conditions." Regarding medical marijuana, the exemption applies as long as it is dispensed under a valid recommendation by a certified physician in accordance with the state medical marijuana control program.

@@joshburns6625 ohio isnt very big. youll save a ton of money in michigan even after gas money. your edibles are 30-40 bucks for 100mg ours are 200mg for 3 bucks. 60 an oz for decent flower these days. i just got 2 grams of hash rosin for 35. tons of places near the border.

I do not expect any of that money to get spent the way it is supposed to be spent. This is still government we are talking about, right? Yeah, I stayed away on opening day. Everywhere, literally everywhere recreational marijuana has become legal, they price gauge at first; which is unlawful in and of itself. And I am not one to be taken advantage of. So I am going to abstain until the prices reach a more common sense level. But really, I just want to buy legally for the first time in my life. There are alternatives to marijuana, such as delta8 THC, and I will just use that until sanity returns, IF sanity ever returns.

Don't understand why med patients still pay the same as rec... Tf we paying for a card for? To get called 5 minutes earlier in line.... Its still all the same laws. Makes no sense to me why any med patient would pay the card fee state fee(which is waved) and doctors visits for the same rights and a tax 😅. Those prices should be illegal.
Basically the only legal place you can smoke is your house or your yard if you own the property. You can't see what you bought until you get outside and the prices are outrageous. Michigan still gonna get a big majority of Ohio smokers prices much better and you actually get to see what you buy.
