I'm someone whose friends all live very far away from me, so I've none around me (sad face*), so it is SO lovely for you guys to all be able to hang out & talk about books and fun things 🙂 Edinburgh looks amazing & somewhere like where I should be living lol.
@@AFrolicThroughFiction That's really lovely. I'm in NZ, & my friends are all overseas (mainly UK & the US), so I wish we were magic in some way so we could easily visit each other! Luckily, one close friend is in my country, but lives in the South Island, but we managed to meet up once, which was really cool 🙂 Another reason why I try to stay chatty on Booktube, because it's fun to engage with other lovely readers all over the world, such as you, dear Ashleigh! 🙂
I am very curious to hear what you think of You And Me on Vacation. Honestly not sure if you will like it. I liked it fine, but imo Beach Read is way better. So if you don't end up vibing with You and Me on Vacation, I hope you will still consider reading Beach Read 😊 Also, I am also very very excited to get back into the First Law world. Going to start Before They Are Hanged today! 😄🌷
I am SO here for seeing how your reading month turns out, excited for the end of the month! The Travelling Cat Chronicles is such a sweet book, highly recommend reading while curled up with a blanket (so maybe one for earlier in the month before the warm weather comes!)
Should be an interesting monthly wrap up for May. The only Emily Henry that I have read is Book Lovers, which I loved, so I am curious to see what you think.
Loved The Mercies! So I just picked up The Witches of Vardo and I’m currently reading The Ruin of all Witches…I guess you could say there’s a theme here……!
🌻🌻🌻Lovely group of women you’ve found!!!Edinburgh is indeed your meant-to-be place. Out of all those books I’ve only read Lost Apothecary. Although I enjoyed it when I read it I found myself having to suspend my disbelief quite a bit in both timelines 🤨🤔🧐🫤
this is such a great idea for setting up a TBR! looking forward to hear your thoughts on a lot of these books. also, love your look in this video, very spring fairy-like 🌸🌺🪻🪷
Yes, I love Stalking Jack the Ripper, looking forward to seeing what you think! I have The Mercies on my tbr, I also feel the same about never prioritising it. Think I will use your review to see if I move it up the list to read 🌼 🌸
I’ve nearly finished reading Golden Son and it is proving to be a wild ride! Curious to see if you enjoy it. I’m not sure you will but maybe I’ll be wrong. I loved The Travelling Cat Chronicles! I hope you do too. 🌸🌺🌻🌼🌷🌹💐🪻
The traveling cat chronicles is sweet and sad, and it made me cry a little (I was reading it on New year's eve in 2018, I remember it clearly, in Warsaw). How high... yeah, told ya already... Sorry to admit, but... I hated Stalking Jack the ripper. I guessed who the murderer was on, like, 20th page, and... but I hope you'll enjoy it, people seem to love this series, so I don't discourage you from reading it!
The Lost Apothecary is a dual timeline book. One timeline is in the present and the other timeline is set back in the 1800s. I usually love historical fiction, but sadly, I could not connect with the historical timeline. I really enjoyed the modern timeline. So I gave the historical timeline 3 stars and the modern timeline 5 stars which averages out to me giving the whole book 4 stars.
How high we go in the dark is one of the best books I’ve read last year. And I keep thinking about it. It’s just incredible. We also have similar taste so I think you’ll love it. Curious to see your thoughts on the lost apothecary because I HATED the modern timeline and that really took away from the actual story of the apothecary
ASHLEIGHHHHHHHHH 🥹 was this a TBR or some type of hit the feels round 😭❤️❤️ hehe silly goofy mood this is my now go to description of myself 🥳I am SO here to see what you think of all of these 😅 sorry for putting a random one for you there 😂😂
I love how you highlight all of your friends. We need more of this platonic love on booktube and our lives in generell 💕
It’s not often I shower them in compliments so they’re all shook 😂
@@AFrolicThroughFiction 😂😂😂
It would be interesting to see Gavin choose your TBR sometime 😊
yess!! i'd be there for the chaos
I don’t think I’d ever be prepared for that 😂

Everyone in this video is scattered around the UK, luckily booktube just brought us all together!

The best way to start a weekend 👌🏻🤎

I read the Travelling Cat Chronicles recently and loved it! It's one of my favourite books of the year so far, it was emotional but so wholesome 🥺💜🌸
Should be an interesting monthly wrap up for May. The only Emily Henry that I have read is Book Lovers, which I loved, so I am curious to see what you think.
Such a sweet TBR! It makes my heart full to hear you gush about your friends and I can only hope to have friends like yours.
I loooved the lost apothecary! Such a cool bunch of friends and recommendations. Hope you enjoy your reading 🌺

🌷⚘thanks for this video. Sounds like you have a lot of interesting and cherished friends. I like the sound of The lost apothecary too. 🌺🌻
I hope you enjoyed The Lost Apothecary- I'm planning to get to it soon. The travelling cat chronicles was a great read but sad in parts.
Emily Henry reads fast for me, it didn't take that long to consume a lot of it. Its crack.
Also read addie its slower pace book, its still enjoyable.
I loved the Lost Apothecary!!!
ooh, this is going to be fun!! wish I had lots of bookish friends to pick mine
I didn’t love the first 2 books in the Stalking Jack the Ripper series, but the last 2 books were really good.
I loved The Lost Apothecary! I think you will too. I have a review of it on my blog.
You pronounce Xavier, like Zavier, with a Z at the beginning.
Depends on the place! It can be ex-avier too so will probably have a google to see if anyone’s clarified for this one specifically aha
I love how you talked about your friends and appreciated them.. this TBR was so wholesome! ❤🌼
I’m glad you liked it! 🥰
@@AFrolicThroughFiction 😊❤
I can’t wait for your reading wrap up! So many of these books are on my tbr 🌷🌷🌷

Can’t wait to see how you react to the books you were recommended, lovely video, 🌷!
It’ll be an interesting one for sure!
The cover of Flowerheart looks pretty. The Traveling Cat Chronicles sounds cute.
Flowerheart sounds so good 🥹
The Mercies was one of my top reads from last year! So so good!
I really enjoyed the lost apothecary, but do know that it deals a lot with pregnancies! Something I did not know beforehand and was a bit thrown by.
This is such a sweet video idea!! I love how you talked about each of your friends to go with the book they recommended
