Thank you for taking the time to have a snoop through my booktube channel!
Ashleigh 🖤
🍵 I’m glad someone else watches Bailey Sarian when they’re feeling burnt out!
The piano music 🎶 during the visit to the arboretum is so pleasant and beautiful🎵 😊
The Arthurian retelling sounds so interesting. I’ll definitely check it out when it’s released. ☕️
☕ Another enjoyable vlog, Ashleigh! Thanks so much!! 😁
The little purple flowers at the beginning of video are like a grape hyacinth, that sort of family. They spread like mad but look beautiful.
Great to see you back in another vlog and with Becca x
Happy Sunday everyone!
Very jealous of spring arriving! Here it is still winter 😭But the sun is warming, so soooon!
My first book of April was Silver in the wood, and I loved it! Didn't know it would be so charming 😍
Thank you, Ashleigh. I've been playing a lot of Animal Crossing too. ☕
Have you read The mists of Avalon? I read and re-read that Arthurian retelling from Morgan’s point of view. Still a favourite!
🫖🍵💮Always a joy spending time with you. I loved this longer vlog so thank you for that. Lovely to have a walk around the Botanical gardens too. I hope you have a better week with more energy and sleep. xx
I love vlogs when you visit Becca!!! Huh, never knew you couldn't buy creamer in a store in the UK, thats so interesting. ☕☕☕
Katie M John has an Arthurian retelling that I really enjoyed! The Forest Of Adventures is book 1! I’m currently rereading ACOWAR and I love it sooooo much more than I did the first time! I’m just at the bit where they’re reunited! Love your nails btw!
I had a gorgeous Scots Pine next to my house but it had gotten way too big for where it was and I had to have it taken down 😢.... Also woodpeckers were hiding in it and attacking the side of my house turning it into swiss cheese!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣😜🤪😜🙂🙃🙂 😉
Your videos are so cozy 🥹🫖
🥹🥰 thank you!
I have watched you for almost 2 years now and recently i have been feeling so burnt out since March was such a busy month for me but everytime i watch one of your videos it makes me feel calm and your one of my comfort UA-camrs
🫖🍵🧋I am reading FInlay Donovan Knocks Em Dead, fun fast read! Thanks for the video!
Can you do one of your pomodoro videos like your dark academia one but instead nature and woodlands sometime? That sounds like absolute heaven!!
I would need to try and find a spot to film it in but I’ll keep an eye out for one!
@@AFrolicThroughFiction obviously just if the inspiration strikes (or if you need an excuse to find some more woodlands), just watching your b roll made such gorgeous atmosphere!
☕️ I'm currently re-reading Ninth House
Reading queens of renthea which is set in a forest with this b-roll made watching this video late entirely worthwhile!
I love that for you ahaha
Yay for the tea tour, brilliant. Can't wait to read Morgan Is My Name. 🍵
I love staffy's. I have 2. Red staffy/rottweiller both are big sooks. They are the size of staffy's
☕I'm currently reading The Wolf and the Woodman and really enjoying it! My next read will be Emily Wilde and I'm SO looking forward to it!
Oof both are excellent choices 🤌🏻
I read The Risk recently as well. It was interesting. A nice, easy popcorn read.
The perfect description for it!
hiya im reading the rangers apprentice books (there a few) but loving it x the garden look really pretty 🧚♂️🧚x
I have oily skin and even oily eyelids! It's very annoying. I use a product called Shine Stopper Instant Matte Finish by Paula's Choice -if you ever fancy trying something. It seems pricey but you only use a tiny amount.
The Botanical Gardens were lovely:)
Such a lovely video! I really enjoy your vlogs so much as they are so calming! Morgan is my Name and The Pomegranate Gate sound so intriguing! You definitely sold Morgan is my Name to me when you said female rage and mentioned Labor 😁
Which make up products did you use? It looks so gorgeous!
I would love to see a video about your switch games 😊 I just bought a switch and love hearing about other people’s games. I’ve heard about Cult of the Lamb from Jean and it looks brilliant!
A tea tour is a wonderful idea! 😃☕️
My first read of April will probably be the cruel prince!
🫖❤
New nails sing Spriiing🌸🌼🌸🌷
I was in the worst reading slump in March but started April with a new all-time fave "Moon tiger" by Penelopa Lively. It has "The English patient" vibes - love love love it.
Hello lovely lady ☺️ I highly recommend 'The Mists of Avalon' for an excellent Arthurian retelling 😽
Chocolate as motivation is a great thing 😋 hope you enjoyed your egg
I have a copy of foxglove king, but haven’t picked it up yet
I LOVE CULT OF THE LAMAB! It is the cutest game ever.
My first read of April was The Thickety: Well of Witches. This series is about of a woman executed for being a witch. Her and her brother was mistreated in the town because of who their mother was, and their father lost himself in his grief. But then, the daughter finds a grimoire and discovers she is capable of magic, but grimoires aren't they are cracked up to be and there is great risk in using one. And at the same time, they all live on this island on the edge of these woods that are cursed and dangerous, and attempting to devour the town itself. The first book is very much about the town and introducing to the risks of grimoires and magic, as well what it is like to live as a witch in this town. The second book is about the thickety aka the woodland surrounding them, and what it takes to survive it and how it is a nightmare in itself. The third is about a portion of the rest of the world that they are travelling through to attempt to undo a spell and avoid a catastrophe that is coming. To do so they must find a witch that was consumed by a grimoire. This is a middlegrade series that is quite dark, and you really do feel for the main character. I am mainly in this for the world though, and the story itself. That being said, Well of Witches is my least favourite of the lot.
I'm reading the royal assassin by Robin Hobb
Ohhh no, started foxglove King today.
Need to go out into nature desperately.
Hope you feel better know.
🫖 Reading A Day of Fallen Night by Samantha Shannon this April! 150 pages in and loving it so far 😃
I hope you continue to love it!
☕️ Just finished reading Hex. Oh my Godess, it was such an incredibly moving book. Thanks for recommending it..
I’ve heard the first two books in the Mindf*ck series are horrible but by book three you are hooked and love it!
I'm so excited for Morgan is my Name. I ended up DNFing The Foxglove King. Not because I completely disliked it but I had just received Godkiller in the mail and was much more excited to read that one. I was about 60 pages into The Foxglove King and just wasn't caring about what was happening. I might return to it someday but it's not high on the priority list.
Your reaction to Gods & Monsters was the same as mine. And I can’t believe I have to wait until june to read Morgan is my Name.
ahhhh your videos always get me so excited for my Edinburgh visit in autumn 🍁 do you have any Edinburgh recommendations for first time visitors??
🫖 currently reading legends and lattes for the prompt in the magical readathon where you read a book with a snack, and choosing this book for the prompt was the best decision let me tell you 😂
You've got me really intrigued with the my name is morgan book as i only came across the song a few days ago and absolutely loved it - will definitely be giving this book a try when its out!
Those arcs sound interesting too, can't wait to see what you think of them 🤩
I am currently reading A Darkness at Sethanon by Raymond E Feist and Hideaway by Nora Roberts.
☕
An Arthurian retelling I love is Rosalind Miles' Guenevere trilogy. Morgan is a grey character, does very questionable things but is a twisted victim of circumstance, Guenevere is a sort of a Pagan princess, and Merlin is the bad guy! Might take a while to find it as its quite old now, but definitely worth a read if you like the idea of a very clear Christian vs Pagan take on the story :)
☕️☕️☕️
love this! I'm currently reading the hobbit, and it is the perfect vibe☕🤎
I feel like I may be into My Name is Morgan. My middle name is actually Morgana and is pulled from The Mists of Avalon. I have also just got somewhat into the Arthurian legend so reading retellings of it focusing on characters like Morgan le Fey would be something I will be into.
🍵
First time viewer! PLEASE tell me which bookshop you went to !! Need to find it in York :)
This one wasn’t in York, but a small town about an hour away! I don’t want to say specifically where for privacy reasons I’m afraid 🤎 a bit too local for comfort aha
@@AFrolicThroughFiction ah that makes sense! Thank you anyway :)
☕️
☕️🍵
Does the UK have half and half?
…what is that? 😂
@@AFrolicThroughFiction it’s a milk of whole milk and 1% milk that what they use to make coffee creamer with lol. I was going to say I use that plus one of the Starbucks syrups with my coffee lol
🫖
I just started cult of the lamb too ❤❤❤🫖
I'm missing Animal crossing. Made the mistake of deleting it 😭😱😱😱 recently I've been into Stardew valley.
☕️ 🫖
🫖 I have the Mindf*ck series but have been putting off reading it for some reason(blame it on me being a mood reader). Might have to pick it up and give it a try.
🫖
I am 120 pages into VenCo by Cherie Dimaline, and I am loving it. Great witchy vibes and a very satisfying sense of humour.
So glad that I am not the only one with an overflowing tea cupboard :-)
