🔮that market looked like such a vibe wow!! Always down for a witchy themed video. Personally i'd recommend Nausicaa of the valley of the wind as it's my fave ghibli movie! It's not a super mainstream one but I personally love it as its one of the more high fantasy ones and i just think the message of the movie is absolutely beautiful, as it's very much themed around caring for nature and nature fighting back. (princess mononoke has similar themes too) But honestly all the ghibli movies are great so watching any of them will be a good time!

I'm collecting them, too, but haven't started reading yet. For Studio Ghibli (the 'h' is pronounced in Japanese) My Neighbour Totoro and Princess Mononoke are excellent. Kiki's Delivery Service is my favourite & made me cry. I love Studio Ghibli movies as they are warm and sweet, but have very deep underlying themes that really make you think - love that! Also, there are very interesting documentaries on the studio itself and their extremely vigilant process of all the hand-drawing and strictness of their works. Miyazaki is a genius, but a tough task-master! I love Junji Ito, too, and for your Ito-Trolley all you need to do to solve the imbalance is buy more of his works and have 2 shelves heehee 😛 (he's a Mangaka; a person who writes and illustrates Manga.)

Princess Mononoke is my favourite Studio Gibli film. It is a complicated film so it is not easy to describe. You are following this boy who is cursed and seeks to lift said curse so he goes to the location from which the creature who cursed him came from. When he gets there he gets wrapped up in this conflict between the spirits and the gods of the forest and a town who is seeking to protect their own and to build a future for themselves. You would love the tree spirits in this film.

I'm reading The Nature of Witches now. I like Howl's Moving Castle and My Neighbor Totoro the most of the ones I've seen. I actually watched a live version (streamed into a cinema) of Spirited Away around the same time you guys were watching it. It was amazing! I need to get to that Edinburgh witchy fest someday! ✌🏻❤🔮
I'd recommend Kiki's delivery service it's so wholesome and an amazing movie about a young witch. I watched it as a kid and it was the first ever studio ghibli movie I ever watched and it is truly a magical movie.
I do the same with my MiddleGrade books and luckily I have a friend who is a teacher at one and she is awaiting a second haul of books from me. Like you I love that the kids can have access to these in their library which they might not have had the chance before in some cases

Read A Discovery of Witches by Deborah Harkness! It’s my favourite book EVER!!!!! The sequel, Shadow Of Night definitely leans more into the witchcraft aspect!
The Dead Romantics was a DNF for me. I just did not like it at all. I'm reading Fortuna Sworn and some of the modern day internet mentions are not jiving with me. Hope I can get past it and enjoy the read overall.
I also hate social media being mentioned in books. I cringe so hard. And I feel like witchy books are all about the vibes, why talk about Instagram? Ugh 🤦🏻♀️
I’ve got the earth oil and also the fire element car diffuser from yogi oils and I can back up that her products smell amazing and she is so lovely! I live a few hours away but I’d love to get out to that market one day, the vibes just look🤌🏻. I’m currently on the hunt for some witchy book recs so would love more videos like this!
