Trouble is there are plenty of good singers but no one, absolutely no one can write a song like that today. The copy and paste generation is all we have, apart for a few individuals who for the most part are never heard on mainstream e.g.(white buffalo) and even his best song 'Wish It Was True' great as (though his voice is amazing) it is doesn't rival 'The Sound Of Silence' or 'Bridge Over Troubled Waters', nope nothing comes close today.
