Grandma is the hero in all this. Her caring enough to go to Kerrys ball games to watch from a distance shows how much of an amazing human she is. If not for her!
If I was Kerry I'd just put on a Goodwrench hat and a pair of Gargoyles and walk around the track on weekends. He don't need a blood test to prove who his daddy was.
Kerry Earnhardt looks SO much like Dale Sr. In my opinion, Dale Jr looks more like his grandfather, Ralph. Dale Sr is more heavy- boned whereas Ralph looks more small- boned. Earnhardts!!! Kerry even has some of his dad's mannerism's. His smile the same but he smiled more. I'm so glad Kerry found himself his place in the family.
In my opinion this was the best episode ever of the Dale Jr Download. Learned so much that I didn't know and it also made me appreciate the journey Kerry went through. I was so happy that they let the audience in on what would normally be a private matter
Man so I'm from California, 54 years old black man, I loved sr I love jr. My perception of Kerry and jrs relationship was always there was some kind of friction... All my years.. omg they absolutely love each other and I'm a Kerry fan from now on!!!
@@hostage42 you know, the more I look at Kerry, it is truly like looking at sr. They honestly could be twins. When I first started watching the podcast, I really thought that it was dale sr. One thing for sure , Kerry could play being his dad in any movie, it is just amazing how he is the spitting image of sr. WOW, WOW OMG !!!!!!!!! Love you boy's and take care of your sister
Its like looking at dale sr and it's amazing how much Kelly looks just like his Dad. I hope he knows that he is a walking double of dale sr. Hopefully he will one day know that his dad really did love him very much. Dale Jr should know that his brother does admire him, you can see it in Kelly's eyes. But i love Dale Sr ever since I first watched racing. He was a awesome driver. And he will always be one of the greatest of all. Miss you Dale Sr.
This is great. Hats off to Mr. Key for being there for Kerry, and hats off to Dale, Sr for taking the time to get to know Kerry. I adopted my son, but he's on seen his biological dad once, when he was 5 months old. He's 22 today with 2 older siblings that he's never met.
This is beautiful. Im Kinda emotional. I have a Dale Earnhardt picture I've carried across 🇨🇦 in dec 2000. A gift from my neice☺️ (Feb 2001😓,then 911😓) I was thousands of miles from home working in the oil patch. I carried my Dale Earnhardt picture around since 1994. The picture is called "Reflections" And reads,,, " Looking back, knowing you gave it your all, win or lose, you finish a Champion"🫡 It's hangin in my kitchen as I write☺️
This is a perfect way to say how I feel about Dale Sr. after maturing into a man. He was my hero as a kid, but I lost a lot of respect for how he abandoned his kids and allowed Teresa to influence and manipulate him so much. You can tell me all the heartfelt stories you want about him helping fellow competitors in secret, but the fact that he chose racing over his children hits me different as a father myself.
@@dylanmcdonald7765have always thought the same but at that time it was to be broke or get what you worked for a Dale worked! That’s an understatement, Dale was married to racing before anything never forget that.
I met Kerry at an autograph session at a Car-Mart in Rogers, Arkansas. The number 33 RCR Bass Pro Shops was the car with him. He signed my cap. Nice guy.
This was such a heartfelt and nostalgic video! Hearing Kerry share his first memories of meeting his dad and the stories about being Dale Jr.'s roommate really gives fans a deeper look into their family dynamics. It’s amazing how these personal moments shaped their lives and bond. True Earnhardt legacy vibes!
Thanks for posting the entire video of this podcast. I rember watching the shorter videos when they were released and hoping y'all would release the entire video. This was great.
I feel for Kerry at the beginning trying to explain the dynamic, you can tell it wasn’t very easy to express how he felt……that why Jr. is so good, let his bro work through it
This is a wonderful episode. What a heartwarming story. Makes me love Junior and Senior even more. I'm so happy after watching. I love the whole family 💕.. Kerry is a great guy and looks so much like his daddy.
Thanks Dale Jr for doing these family ones in there entirety....I cant wait to see your Mamaw's in its entirety that one is one of my favs. Along with your sister, aunts and uncle.
The best episode to date. It’s a great dive into the story behind the relationship. I love the history aspect of this episode, as is true with most of Dale’s episodes. I will watch this episode anytime it is re-released or pops up in my feed. One of those must watch classics, how people feel about Shawshank Redemption or the Green Mile.
I went to an autograph signing with Kerry 20 years or so ago at a dealership in Memphis when he drove for Aaron's. As they were setting up Kerry came out to check the crowd. He was wearing his sunglasses and a ballcap. Kerry leans against a pillar and folds his arms, just standing there. An immediate hush fell over the crowd. Kerry's silhouette was striking. You could feel the collective goosbumps we all had because it was Dale. It was amazing. Kerry was awesome to talk to, very nice. He signed a couple of cars I brought and as he and were talking, he even took my son's Aaron's cap (that was mine when I used to work for them) and signed it. My son got so tickled Kerry did that. He thought it was coolest thing ever. GOOD TIMES👍
I really enjoy your Podcast. This episode was the best ! It's great to see time apart was quickly mended, especially prior to Sr's passing. Nice to see it working well between you all. Great stuff. Kudo's to Mamaw and all the others who had a role in bringing the Earnhardt's back together.
Only podcast over 30 minutes I’ve ever watched start to finish…and I watched it the first time too! Lots of good DJDs, but this is by far the best one. I love to hear the laughter! I met Kerry at a Car Mart event and got a pic with him years ago!🤗 🏁❤️🏁
Just caught up on this one, best show you have done Dale Jr...your interviews are really good and the way you push easily to get answers that are not so easy to discuss show your only skills are not driving a NASCAR or being in the booth.
As a Service Manager for 35+ years I Loved the story that Kerry told about JR telling his Service Manager that the EARNHARDT name was 2 letters from getting him FIRED!!
Kerry is just about the spitting image of the Intimidator 3 (and sounds a lot like him too). The cheeks and mustache are a dead ringer compared to Dale Jr.'s No offense to Jr., just physical attributes that people cannot control. As for character, and controllable aspects of a person, Dale Jr. is in the very top tier.
I love the Earnhardt family, but I miss Dale Sr so bad still. I just keep imagining what it would have been like for Dale to keep running DEI and Jr. , Kerry, and Kelly racing for him. Sucks we didn't get to witness and enjoy that happen. Instead, we lost Dale, and the wicked witch destroyed everything. I didn't know anything about Kerrys life and how that all happened .Im so happy he go to finally meet his real dad and grandma and Dale kerry and the rest of the family. I got close to Dale Jr. and lived together for a while. I got to meet Kerry when i worked at lowes Home Improvement store, and kerry came to the flooring department for i think grout and i immediately recognized him and said hey Kerry and we talked about racing for a few minutes and about Jr and Dale their dad. That was really cool for me being such a big Earnhardt fan because of Dale Sr. I never knew how the home building thing with Kerry & his wife worked out, so i was happy to hear they won that and the ability to use the Earnhardt name because kerry is am Earnhardt. Awesome podcast, yall. It's just amazing to hear all the stories Thanks
Kerry is so his father's boy. My gosh the resemblance is incredible. I think it's so cool that Kerry is involved with Schumacher homes. I live 2 hours south of their headquarters, we see alot of their builds down in my area. Genuinely loved every minute of this episode. My face hurts from grinning for 90 minutes straight.
Just take a good look at Kerry. No way in hell Dale could deny that he was his son. So glad everything worked out and Kerry and Jr. and Kellie.. I was a Bill Eliott fan and hated Dale Earnhart. the day he passed i went out to pick up our dinner and was at a traffic light a couple of miles from my home when i heard on the radio that Dale had died. I cried like a baby. I couldn't stand the man but i had total respect for the man. Dale SR was the best there ever was.
