Love the walking bass and the fingering lessons on the upper manual. The game show example reminds me of when they had a house Hammond B-3 at Circus Circus in Reno, Nevada.; below the trapeze & tightrope walkers. When they put on a circus show, guy would play. This was the early 80’s. I’m sure the Hammond is long gone by now. Probably replaced by a deejay.
Blues and those tunes from the 60s are, to put it mildly, the genres I'm not most interested in, but damn, I love watching your videos where you explain it all. :)
First riff is Key of G. Right hand are forms of 7#9. So first chord is F-B-E moves half step up to F#-C-F. Little bit of stretch is required. Left hand is a bass line leading up to a G.These chords are very important to know. Start with that and go from there
Hi Paolo, love your videos, they're great and very helpful! if you had to suggest a synthesizer for someone who is an intermediate software Synth user with a budget of 200 USD what would you suggest? possible to do a video for that?
For the "Game Show" you say there is no Leslie but I got the impression that a slow leslie is still present, or is it just some flanging effect in the XK-3 tone?
@@SynthManiaDotCom Thanks. I was asking because I am designing a low-cost Hammond clone and I noticed a small difference in tone. I suspect that the XK-3c adds a bit of postprocessing, even with "plain" settings. By the way, very nice grooves! If I succeed in building my clone I will use them in demo videos 🙂
Awesome licks. Just for the future - please hang the camera over the piano, higher the exposure and get the white balance. Either way you got new subscriber.
Questo stavo aspettando, Paolo! I was very interested in licks and chords. Very educational and beatiful as always, though I've got a question for you: Up to what extent you have learnt chords and how crazy do you get about them? I mean, when you play the jazzy groove, do you really care about knowing the chord completely or you just think of a simple chord (without added majors, flats, etc.) and then experience guides you through?
That organ sounds so good, it clicks nicely to me. On a side note, have you ever made or considered making a video on some typical transitions in the style of techno/synth pop/house that you play? When I say transitions, I mean breakdown or drops between songs. Sorry I'm a bit of a noob to these terms but I hope I got my point across haha
You are right. I tried it and it worked wonder in my Finale Software. Understanding things means a step tward a good piece of music. You are a pro. Thank you
A perfect way to unwind from a long day at work, Synthmania. Great as always!

Thank you for the video Paolo!!!
Thank *you for watching, Jill!
Would be nice if you could mention the notes you play, because I can't really see very good what you are playing.

MAESTRO!!!!
super helpful, thank you!
Great lessons I appreciate it the Hammond sounds so good, just one thing,a slightly different camera angle would be so helpful to see it from overhead
How is this a "lesson" ??
Hi Paolo,
love your videos, they're great and very helpful!
if you had to suggest a synthesizer for someone who is an intermediate software Synth user with a budget of 200 USD what would you suggest? possible to do a video for that?
Nice job!
Thanks!
Love what you're playing. But I cant see the notes too good.
Chicken Shack is a great Hammond blues
Blues in F by Stevie Winwood in Spencer Davis Group. Or anything similar. Have you done anything like this I could look up. Thanks.
Mr. synthmania - I have been a fan of your videos for 15 plus years. BTW - your XK3 sounds better than the new one...
good stuff
Great lesson!
amazing
For the "Game Show" you say there is no Leslie but I got the impression that a slow leslie is still present, or is it just some flanging effect in the XK-3 tone?
Yeah, there's no Leslie sim - it's the tone of the XK-3c that's like that.

Make a sample pack please
great 60's groove - would like to learn it but its a bit hard to see all keys with the side view; any chance for you to record it more top view ? Thx!

Very welcome
Thank You!! I inherited a blonde RT-3 I'm torturing every day and this helps!
Good lesson but can't see what fingers are going where. Overhead would be better.
Sorry - I'll do better camera next time
@@SynthManiaDotCom It would be great if you could retake this video with a top angle camera view in 2020 👍
Sweet!
VERY USEFUL˜˜˜
Two hands , living two different lives...
Sideshow Franky I wish I could do this..I have massive problems playing two different rhythms with my hands.
I cant hear any of the bass notes
Smart phone.
where's Grace?
Why don’t you tell people what notes and cords you are playing it would make things easier
Most people these days don't read music. Do you?
