Creating non-scaling Civil 3D labels

- One of Civil 3D’s most power features is its ability to “auto-scale” labels. This means civil objects need only be labeled one time, and those labels will automatically display at the appropriate size in any viewport, on any plan sheet. That being said, you may not intend for every label that you create to be printed. (Maybe you’d like to create some labels for display purposes only). At times like these you can create labels having a static model space height, regardless of the drawing scale. In this session we’ll explore how to create non-scaling Civil 3D labels.

Hi Jeff, Wonderful idea, thanks for sharing. It's good to know for the filing system have other software to interfere, e.g. 12d Synergy System. Ihave applied for my currently jobs.
Jeff, can you use this same Technic for points? I have Survey points @ 10 scale, but I want use a 20 scale viewport. But, my points keep changing with my viewport even though my Annotation scale is set to 10 scale.
Jeff,
Make a tutorial about subassembly is used to specify stripping of top soil to a specified depth.
Thanks

Can we do the same method of scaling of 3d Text on the profiles bands, profile styles?
Hi. Jeff:

Can we creating "non-scaling" labels for "Reference Text"?.
Same problem here.
i believe this doesnt work for dragged state. right?
I tried in the dragged state but it doesn't work
can you explain why and what the drawing scale conversion is. I'm not familiar with that.
The “Drawing Scale Conversion” is the current drawing scale or viewport scale the label is being displayed in and is available in the properties for most of the expressions (possibly all of them but I’m not willing to make that kind of commitment without actually checking them all).
