Ive never witnessed a San Diego team play in such a big championship game. No Chargers, No Padres, but now Aztecs did it. Playing for glory. San Diego needs this.

@@benlaw4647 reading comprehension is hard sometimes: I said “I have never witnessed” I am aware the chargers played in the 94 SB. I was born 3 months before the game. I’m pushing 30. I am also aware the Padres played in a WS in 1998. But I was like 4 and didn’t watch.

WOW! That game was One Shining Moment for SDSU. Both teams played a heck of a game. What a shot by San Diego State at the buzzer to win it. Moments like this are what make March Madness so special. Hats off to Florida Atlantic for having a season to remember.

As a longtime Aztec fan (60 yrs) I would like to congratulate FAU and Coach May, he is building a program and culture the right way with class, integrity and grit! I'll be rooting for them going forward unless they are playing my Aztecs. GO AZTECS!

Most embarrassing loss in final four in the last decade, FAU had that game in the bag. Although a mid-major will never get to a championship, they can't handle the pressure eventually. FAU will probably go down as the best mid-major run ever.

That was one of the best games I’ve ever watched…tough loss for FAU but they played their hearts out.

Amazing game..as an impartial fan so much fun to watch. SDSU picked it up with 2nd half defense. Hope they win it all Monday.I miss out on a lot of west coast teams, but these guys are no fluke they keep there poise and are well coach.

I was there at NRG. 74k people all screaming together and I swear that buzzer went off for 10 minutes. It was ELECTRIC.

I have never seen a team miss so many FT's just for them to rebound it over the defenders like they weren't even there. It happened like 7-8 times in the 2nd half alone and most of them looked like they were on #1 of FAU, who was blocked before the GW. That's what lost them the game, extra possessions.

I was working, so I couldn't watch the game live, but it looks like it was a terrific contest. Both teams showed great team play, and great individual efforts. It's kind of sad one of them had to lose, but that's sports. all respect to both squads.

It is great to see SDSU thrive in this year's March Madness. They had high hopes during 2019-20 season only to have the tournament cancelled due to Covid. They were certain to have been seeded number 2 in their region that year. I hope they go all the way and realize their belated dream of winning it all.

You have to be consistent to be put on the map. I remember when Gonzaga was unheard of and they didnt get to where they are now by only having one good season. They have been a strong contender in the top 25 for nearly 20 years. If FAU wants to reach that level they need to have more seasons with smart, hard working teams that can fight through adversity and win games.
@@RobbieStacks90 they only have 1 senior and he’s a bench player so if players don’t transfer they should be relevant for at least 1 more year
I don't think San Diego State has been a mid-major for a while, they're perceived that way because of a lack of media coverage. When they start beating up on Pac-12 teams, the perception will change.
@@RobbieStacks90 well duh, they aren’t the NIL capital of the world let alone the conference. Miami, Florida, Florida State, UCF, and even USF will land better recruits. they’re still on the map regardless.
