First Ride on a Wild Horse- Extreme Mustang Makeover 2021

3.13.21 It may seem quick, but we got Promises first ride out of the way! I worked patiently and calculatedly to make his first ride a success. I put it together in three phases:
Phase 1: Establishing Forward Motion on the ground. 00:38
Phase 2: Desensitizing to Pad/Saddle/Me on his back- first sit. 04:15
Phase 3: Putting the first two phases together and actually starting to ride him. 23:28
I make some mistakes when reading him as he thinks a bit differently than some of the previous horses I’ve worked with, but I am learning a lot from him.
He did so well, and I probably could have pushed him further, but I decided to quit while I was ahead!
