Great knife for trekking, small and concealable yet sturdy enough to do the job, just couple this with an axe and you are ready for the woods.
Wow! Like this M1. Been looking at Benchmade hidden canyon in S30V. The M1 is about 3/8 inch longer, but man “ I “ like a choil. Decisions, decisions! Lol! Thanks for review...., now I’m really confused.
Thank you for the size comparison! Which one do you prefer between the M1 and the G3?
It is hard to choose between the 2. The M1 wins in terms of compactness but the G3 is more versatile.
Very nice little helper, it is really inconspicuous to carry. I removed the lanyard because it was uncomfortable on my little finger. If I could choose I would like it better without the grinding mark.
How does it compare to the Guardian 3 ?
Tough choice. These 2 are my favourite small fixed blade knives.
thx - I'm thinking about thinking about the Guardian 3 with sheepsfoot blade …
Excellent review! Alot of info and great video work. I been looking at Lionsteel for awhile. Looks like this would be a great small task pocket carry knife.
BTW, ya sound like "The Zec" from Jack Reacher.
:))
Thank you for the comment.
Actually the crowned spine can through sparks very well with fire steel.
How is that possible?
This is the first review of this knife that I actually love, thanks for your input! Is the sheath awkward looking when in the belt? And do you prefer vertical carry or horizontal carry when it comes to small fixed blades?
The sheath is not awkward looking on the belt imo because it is so small but generally I prefer horizontal carry for small fixed blade knives (or I just put them in my vest).
In fact you can strike a firesteel because the spine is rounded but the edges are still sharp.
