Don't change a thing. Your accent is what I love. I had an Aussie on my mail route here in the USA and I loved talking to him, plus he ran a hotrod shop, so I couldn't wait to get to his business. When I first met him I made the mistake of calling him "English". He corrected me real quick and I frequented his business until I retired.

These Trucks and tractors you have on this channel are the good ol’ days when things sounded awesome and weren’t bogged down with mufflers and all this “save the environment” shit. I love diesels and this blown Nissan 5 cylinder is so unique and sounds absolutely gorgeous. Please don’t ever replace it and keep 3 n 5 Spicer in there as well (it might be awkward, but it gives the truck character) thanks for the channel content and I wish you the best in your endeavors.

Love all the old trucks you have here, they bring back memories from when I was a kid in the 90's. My grandad drove cement trucks around Queensland and also liked working on old machinery. He also liked trains - and now I'm a train driver over in Switzerland.
I didn't know that Aussies made some of their own truck cabs. I love the wheel hubs! Looking forward to learning more about these old trucks.

      @@stevesplacedownunder Hey there, congratulations!
One of my earliest memories was hearing and seeing Uclid Mules on a dam project. 26 years later, I heard that sound again when I started work at logging. It was a Tree Farmer C-7 skidder with a 4/53 Detroit. I was taught to drive it and thoroughly enjoyed it. When I first heard it, that memory of the Uclids came right back. That Nissan has a similar sound but its its own.

I've always wondered why there's no 5 cylinder GM Detroit Diesel engines, I guess they thought if a 4 cyl was underpowered you'd jump straight up to a 6 cylinder. They didn't spend the time and effort into designing one. That's why this 2 stroke UD diesel is so unique.
Yes old engines, they do last a long time!. Keep them going. 😂

I have spent a fair bit of time in proximity to 1 of those 2 stroke Nissan motors. I cut wood for a living a LONG time back and 1 of the automated saws had a 180hp Nissan diesel on it that could certainly get up and boogie. Sadly 28 years or so ago when I recorded video of the saws the video cameras were a bit appalling. In the decades between when the video was recorded onto vhs and when I transferred to digital the quality didn't improve on the tape. A bit nostalgic looking back at 1 of these old motors.

Just discovered this channel. I have a very beautiful acco 1800 with perkins 6.354 diesel. They came out with these engines in South Africa and some with noise engines. I had a problem with my hydraulic/air braking system so last year i bought a acco at a scrapyard that was working with 100% air brakes. Took the front and rear axle off that truck and put it on my truck. Brakes is good now. Only problem is the air compressor is letting some oil through into the air system. Now looking to fit a modern compressor. Parts is not easy to find on these old trucks! I still drive mine on a regular basis to the market with goods

Hi mate I’m glad you found me. Yes they did come out over there and I only thought there were a handful but I’m hearing there were more and more as people comment. The hydraulic brakes are rubbish. Good when working but they don’t work for long before rust and leaks take over. I completely agree with what you did with the air brakes from the other one. It’s what I am doing with the one in the video. They are hard to get cab parts for but the rest is fairly generic stuff available at most parts shops. Depending on what your after of course. Thanks again for having a look mate. All the best
