I just feel at ease when I watch you all. Stress melts away. Bert, what a great husband. I to am a married man with three kids. Keep Christ first and family time constant. Thank you to your family for letting us see inside.
What a fantastic description!!... I too feel at ease. It always starts my day off well no matter how rough my sleep has been when I get to watch a video of The Somers Family I am smiling and rested x
June 29, 21 I was told I had cancer (3rd time) then I got up next morning to find my 45 year old daughter had passed away in her sleep. She had been my caregiver for years. Started chemo in July; nephew hospitalized with covid in August (he died in April had 3 kids under 12); I fell in cancer center broke kneecap in August 21; but God has bought me through all of it. My nephew confessed before he died that he was good with God. I am cancer free😊 my knee is good I am able to move and walk on it. God has been so good to me and I have hope! Praise Jesus my King and Savior! Hang in there Somers and remember “and it came to pass.” It ain’t here to stay.
My husband of 29 years had an unsuccessful heart surgery back in February 2020, he passed away in March 2020, just as the world was shutting down. We were homeless and living in a friends basement when he went to be with Jesus. I was his caregiver and I suddenly was not. Our four children and myself pushed through and overcame homelessness, as well as adjusting to our new family dynamic, amidst a pandemic that the entire world was muddling through. Grieving what I had known, as my comfort zone. We continue to push through with Gods help! Prayers for you and your family!!
I lost my husband of 24 years not even 6 months from bypass surgery. He was 59. I lost him in 2018 way before covid crazyness. I think that’s the only reason why I’m glad he wasn’t around for that. He had copd and all kinds of lung issues due to a 2 pack a day smoking habbit. I shouldn’t complain about his smoking cuz I’m a pretty heavy smoker myself. I feel you pain of loss of more than just your husband. But we know where they are and someday we’ll be with all our lost loved ones again. God bless you and your family. Stay strong.
Yes I've had to change a lot in my lifetime. My husband passed away at 38 years old leaving me with a 4 and 8 year old. My life changed drastically. I was a stay at home mom and that had to change. 8 years later my house burned to the ground. We made it through with the help of God. He truly does hold us up in our hours of need. I'm now retired, had to sell the house that we rebuilt using the same foundation. I'm in a condo and really dislike it but at least I have a roof over my head. Hope other people have stuck together as a family and overcame whatever was put in front of them. Never forget, the good Lord has your back.
Very encouraging, Iv struggled badly with anxiety, panic attacks and depression since losing my mother in 2013 n I’d honestly be lost without my sister and brothers as I struggle with leaving home , family is where it’s at 😃
I watch many different families on UA-cam but your family is by far my favorite. Your kindness to others, your love for your family and your love for God brings joy and happiness to me with every vlog I watch. God bless you.
I have watched quite a few family channels and I can say in all honesty yours is now the only one I watch. I love the way you do things for others withou loads of fuss. You are a lovely genuine family with 3 great kids. All the best to you all x
My husband passed away in 2014 and we had 1 daughter that was grown with 3 kiddos and our middle daughter was 15 & our son was 13 & is also autistic. So that turned our entire world upside down. I had to just step back & remember to Let Go & let God! The other verse that helped me get through is Phil 4:13 All THING ARE POSSIBLE THROUGH CHRIST HE WHO STRENGTHENS ME! It’s been tough at times but God has always gotten me through. He will do the same for y’all! Congratulations on everything happening for y’all! YAY for Audrey she did such an awesome job driving! Sending lots of prayers for y’all and the entire family! Prayers for safe travels for your parents & great grandma! God Bless
As someone with a computer science degree, but with a lot of pre electrical engineering classes the stuff that Bert says makes me happy! It’s pretty nerdy, but it makes me smile!
Indeed, agreed, good to have an electrician doing the "right way", instead of the " production" methods!! ( wink , wink)! Gonna be a great house to live in 4- sure!
You are the sandwich generation. Caring for children and then parents, or grandparents. It is no wonder you feel squished sometimes. Change is growth. Even if you do not realize it at the time. It will all work out. 🇨🇦
Bert You are so humble!! These past two years have been rough for so many people. Five years ago we had hurricane Harvey and south Texas was devastated. Some homes are still down. We all just need to keep our faith in our Lord Jesus.
My friend never apologize for what is going on, we all have or are going through different things. Love watching you all, truly a blessing to see little pieces of what you all do. This page has so many great people and to see how everyone bonds together in the world today is beautiful. May God continue to watch over and guide you all.
My husband and I were lifelong residents of the midwest. 12 years ago we picked up our entire lives and moved to Wyoming. Everything changed, all at once. New home, new job, new friends, new lifestyle. It was enormous change. Worked out for the best. You guys are such a team you will be fine.
What a experience for the children to have their great grandma living by them. Your bonds as a family always seem so close even when so far apart it will good for the kids to have some real interaction now not just on video call.
I was so amazed by your garden last year. That set the bar high for a great crop again this year. Your family has such big hearts of giving then God takes it and pours out a great measure to bless your family and the community. Praying as you celebrate this summer.
My wife started watching you a little while back and we are both hooked. Your family is a true blessing to watch and thank you for sharing little pieces of your lives with all of us. Times are changing so very fast, some good and some bad, but God is amazing and he sees us through. We were homeless 2 years ago and our lives were turned upside down, but pieces are slowly falling in place and things are getting better. God bless you all.
We were just in Alaska 10 days ago. Went on a cruise and went to Denali It was so beautiful Denali was the best. We had the most beautiful weather while we were there it was in the 60’s, very different from our weather in Florida. Some day I will go. Back to Alaska and do more of a land tour. Loved it!
Watching your videos gives me hope and calm in this crazy world we are living in. Thank you. Your family is such a blessing, and wow, those kids are growing up so fast! Audrey, it’s so exciting to see you driving and how much confidence and enthusiasm you have for life! You are so sweet and a lovely young lady! Blessings to you and your whole family ❤️
Hi Somers. When life gets crazy, I Pray and take it as it comes. Grab any and all the peace and serenity you can find and keep doing your best. God picks up the rest. Good going Audrey. So happy to see you learning independence skills. The garden looks great. We are praying for you! 💕
Bert and Jessica you are both amazing and the Lord is leading you on His path and as long as you stay under His protection all will work out for His Glory. The garden is already looking amazing, so proud of Audrey’s driving skills. Cannot wait to meet great grandma 💕💕🙏🙏🥰👍👍💕💕
We lost my dog,mom in law, and her dad plus some other things last year so we are starting to enjoy simple days. My kids are 23 and 19 . Just enjoying simple time and everyday joys
If I had a porch like yours, I would definitely have an outdoor sofa. How lovely to sit there in the evenings and just take in the view and sounds of nature. Bliss.
You guys have totally got this!!!!! You are strong, positive, and energetic. Change can be good. Love your channel and your family. God Bless you guys❤️
My husband retired from the fire department five years ago. I quit my job at the hospital. We sold all the things and move our family to Costa Rica. God guided us and continues to watch over us. You guys got this, God has big plans for you guys.
You go Audrey! Congrats on driving and love your T-shirt. I live in CA now but I was born and raised on the Cape! Driving with my dad in West Yarmouth MA on a dirt road much like you guys are doing in your video! Good times long ago!
As a Family of God we all share eachothers joys and eachothers struggles.. so prayer is the first thing that we can do. And you are never grumbling you let us in to where you could use our prayers.. love you all and what you do.❤️🙏🇨🇦
So awesome for Audrey to have learners permit. Good luck with your driving. My grand daughter got hers in May. Good luck with your new business adventure Bert. WELCOME TO grandma hope she will be happy surrounded by her family. GOD BLESS ,
I will be praying for all the changes you are navigating through. I so look forward to your vlogs! The peace of God is with you and you share it well. Thank you for your hard work! 🙏❤🙏❤🙏❤🙏
I have many changes in the last year and half.. My husband had a lot of health issues.. but he is doing so much better now, very grateful for that. Lost a few friends.. scared of COVID .. things are very different, makes me sad and lonely.. gas , groceries are climbing to a record high, and don’t see it going down anytime soon. Our retirement fund has taken a hit.. Never thought our retirement would be stressful.. What I am grateful for, is seeing your videos, makes my heart smile.. I think I speak for all of us. We do not feel like you are complaining. You let us in your life and I for one love watching your videos. Watching the kids grownup while both of you move on to new things.
Life changes can certainly be scary but God can replace those feelings with spectacular blessings. Just sit back and enjoy the ride and rejoice with what God has in store for you. Sending love to your family from Damascus, VA.
I was in 6th grade when I lost my Great Grandmother, few months after my Grandmother. I love your closing photo where everyone is looking at the love of their life... You swooning over Garett and the girls looking lovingly at their Dad, It's beautiful!
Bert my dad was a contractor so I learned plumbing, wiring, concrete, I have to put foundation under my house in North pole, restoring a truck for friends in Christmas Valley Oregon trying to fix up my cabin here to sell it but I put my trust in God to guide me. I love you guys God bless you all.
Back in 2012 I had all types of changes in my life. It’s started with a divorce, then. You’ve got this! Thank you for being so inspirational! Gods blessing always! 🙏🏼♥️🙏🏼♥️🙏🏼♥️🙏🏼
I believe God does give us more than we can handle because if we could handle it, we wouldn't turn to Him. But when He allows things to overwhelm us, we turn to Him.
Been outside for 15 days straight getting the greenhouse, garden beds, all that stuff done. Staying in today to finally pay attention to the home! And take care of my crispy skin! Aww Alaska!
You all have been a God send to Me, you have seen Me through a Heart condition, Loss of my job due to Covid and now into my Pensionable years. so God bless you Family and all the best for the future .💖
