@@btsarmyforever3816 No because I applied sizing to avoid ink bleeding. But I don't make them textured anymore. The papers I now make are quite smooth.
I do that for recycled paper. But this is pulp/fiber compressed into sheets and not finished paper. A lot of pulps you buy commercially come in this form for easier processing. Or you can find them in dry plant/bark form but you will be required to cook them so buying them this way saves you a little more time.
Now I know why these "recycled" papers are so expensive. They use a lot of resources to turn fancy paper into fancier paper. As always, reuse is always better and come first before recycle.
It's recycled cotton rag so technically recycled but it's not the "recycling" you had in mind. Like reused paper. These are processed fibers from renewable fibers which are quite sustainable. I do not use trees to make paper or materials that are nonrenewable. And the papers are not why they are expensive. Yes, raw materials and supplies affect the cost but most handmade papermakers charge for the actual process to make them as it takes so much time and you make way less than machine-made papers. 😊

Yes! It's actually for any ink to be accepted. Otherwise ink will bleed. So even regular paper needs sizing to be able to write on it, not just watercolor paper.
