It's not just Sealdah Rajdhani other superfast trains also at times touch these speeds. I have seen Karnataka Express (I was basically traveling from Delhi and this was Delhi-Agra Section) hit 143 kmph while I was traveling.
This train is amongst top 5 trains in terms of speed Vande bharat 180km/h Gatiman 160km/h New delhi-bhopal shatabdi 150km/h Mumbai - new delhi shatabdi 140km/h
And what about the incessant rocking of the coaches all the time due to high speed? Passengers can neither sit comfortably nor stand properly, cannot eat or drink without spillage, cannot go to toilet without dirtying their clothes. Of what use is such speed?
There is a railway site called FOIS where it is possible to know the current speed of train by gps method.. What the speedometer will read will show up in the site and from there we got to know the speed and we have been manually calculating speed of trains through mathematical calculations since time immemorial hence we could show up this results
@@barun9665 yes they can but now as it is not permissible, they shouldn't run at these speeds rather than exceptional cases like these so as to keep people like us safe. A short thrill can lead to major issues if not dealt properly my friend. It's better to take precautions rather than unwanted incidents(in my opinion). No offense though. Cheers..!!
