I am a retired Yankee living in Mexico. Since I am over 60 yeas old, I am not allowed to leave the house. That is ok. I like my house and the view. I can have groceries delivered to my door. I like to know what is going on in the world, especially among water people. I am not able to go out on the local lake to kayak, so I have to live vicariously though videos like yours. Keep it up. I love you guys. Be well.
This is my new favorite channel! I used to sail regularly years ago. I even taught sailing, and spend summers directing a sailing department a summer camp in Maine. Life events took me away from the sailing life, but I long to go back! Channels like yours allow people like me to sail vicariously through your wonderful videos. Thank you!!!
@15:15 - "As things go, that was a pretty tame way to find out that we need to re-anchor." Gotta love it! I like how you are often sharing your feelings and thinking as you do things. It helps to understand your experiences, and 'be there' in those moments with you.
As a prisoner in my house in Pensacola Florida I understand confinement very well. You guys take care and I hope you’re motoring through lake gatum soon
The respect that you guys have for each other is beautiful. No matter what’s going you have each other’s backs. Thanks for the motivation and sharing your journey!!
Hi guys just finished watching your latest video . Simply put you are both inspirational ,real ,honest and down to earth. Whilst your plans have been put on hold for the moment you keep your chins up. Sharing about the down times as well as the up times is healthy. Keep them coming. Down under here in New Zealand we have been in lockdown for coming up 4 weeks. Out of this we as individuals (and I believe as a nation) are learning what really matters...Relationships ,sharing the good the bad and ugly . We can all grow from this. Thanks again guys from a Kiwi down under
@Roxy00726, yep, the whole world is under siege by the satanic elites who want to implement the New World Order agenda a.s.a.p ! They’re crushing the world economy with their Ponzi Scheme banking system as we speak, all in the name of some frigging flue virus which is no more deadly than the N1H1 virus. Soon enough Bill Gates will come up with some “vaccine” full of biological and chemical agents which will turn us into zombies and the gubernment will tell you that you’re doomed to eternal isolation unless you take Gates’s vaccine. This is the darn world in 2020 as the luciferian world elite is getting ready to cause the death of billions of people around the world ! The politicians, the bureaucrats and the dictates enforcers are all corrupt and evil to the core allover the darn world. The draconian crap that they’re pulling off in the USA these days would’ve started a revolution or a civil war only a few years ago, but with the exception of a few folks in Michigan, the rest ate complying and are bracing for full throttle Martial Law pretty soon.
It’s always that ONE TIME you don’t do something that you always do is when it gets you. Great that you caught the anchor dragging in time. Enjoy your alone time. Be well, be safe! Cheers 🍻
I really enjoy your tenacity and love of each other, Atticus and the sea. Your positive attitudes are great. Don’t get discouraged, the tide will change and you will sail off
I love it. I'm inspired to learn to sail. Been in ocean whole live, just never learned to sail. Especially with everything going on ,time to live life , navigating the world.
Inspirational couple .. I am on a yacht in nz and wouldn’t want another house ever again.. you are living and loving each other .. Oscar Wilde said we are all in the gutter and some of us look to the stars 🌟 this is very timely in today’s crazy world 🌍
You guys are such a great team! My husband and I are continually impressed by your power to overcome every obstacle thrown your way and we have no doubt you’ll make it through this with grace and ease. Keep safe buds :)
When I was 20 years old I had a Fourwheeler crash I broke my neck I'm paralysed from the shoulders down I am 41 now I have been bedbound for 10 years God gets me through and he will get you through also
On GoodFriday 1979 I crashed my Kawasaki KZ650 and and broke my back.....ruptured spleen....fractured pelvis.....was in a body cast and hospital for 67 days......no fun.... I got over it but it left me in pain the rest of my life ...im 62 now and must use a cane or walker to walk. Life is never fair or easy......hang tough.
Gregg H thank you I will I try you know how it is it gets to bed as far as I know we only live on this earth wise so I will stick around as long as I can you do the same my friend
God Bless You Every Day - Yes, God does get you through. On "bad days" I play my little gypsy accordian and don't move much. Contentment can be found in little pleasures and small beauty.
You guys rock. Having spent most of my adult life on, in or around the ocean I admire and envy the choices you have made in leading this lifestyle. Good luck during these crazy times.
Believe it or not anchoring can be one of the most challenging, and costly things of boating. Believe me. I have a 44' and ALWAYS put out the 3 to 1 rule. About 130ft. of chain comes out for the worst conditions. "Don't put off tomorrow what you can do today'" Buds with suds, you rock!
First time I've watched your channel but won't be the last. Love the way you expose your true feelings and display day to day experiences. I tried doing what you are doing for 6 months and it drove me crazy. Just can't stand captive containment!
Always like your videos in the marina so I could see my boat. Will miss it now that you’re at anchor. Regulations got in the way of all our plans. Hope to get back and see you before you take off through the canal. If not, I’ll watch you as you go through the Pacific. Keep the dream alive.
I can think of alot worse places to isolate. God certainly has blessed you both. Safe Anchorage. Throw a bow line anchor. I dont know. Be safe God Bless.
Congratulations, 100K subscribers. You deserve it. Boat work never done. Now, back to refitting the interior cabin layout. Got to create an honored spot to mount the plaque.
You guys probably don't watch other sailing channels, but I love watching you guys and "Sailing Kittiwake". Have you heard of them? They have been kicking about the Mediterranean and will be sailing to the Caribbean. They might be there now, their videos are a few months behind. I know you guys are kind of stuck until next year. If you have the time, you should try to reach out to Sailing Kittiwake. I bet you all would get along great. They are around your ages it seems. Like you guys, they are very resourceful with repairs and sewing projects. And also like you guys, they are very humble and love taking in the culture around them. I just wanted to share. Love you guys, keep it up!!!
I haven't watched one of your videos in a while, and after watching this one, I can see the confidence and knowledge level of the Atticus crew has increased. However, this Corona is unchartered territory for everybody involved. Please glove up as much as possible around the docks and mainlands. Great video !
New subscriber. You may be stuck at anchorage......but at least you're in a sailboat.....living the dream, that I have myself and can't find a way yet to make it happen. I really enjoy the way the two of you work, play, be together. Green lights, blue skies, and Christmas every day, to the two of you.
Desiree luv your "geeky" glasses. Jordan is a lucky man to have you!Best of luck...everyone's plans are upside down at this point. I watch all of your vids and admire your fortitude.

Great video! The camera work is excellent (nice underwater shots while moving the anchor), great editing, good job showing us your life onboard (e.g. moving the two solar panels.) Great philosophy! Be well, greetings from Moscow!
While I'm not in the same boat, I am in the same situation. Stuck at anchor in St.Augustine Florida. Stay safe and sane! Hopefully this will all be over in a couple years
Ahhhh, nooooo, we were looking forward to seeing you guys go off grid. Although that was somewhat selfish a motivation, so we could still get a sailing adventure fix whilst our boat is locked down too. Stay safe guys. 😊🐾⛵️
I really like your sun cover set up for the cockpit and the hatches you made for Atticus. It gives you lots of protection and the ability to keep the boat cool when there is a little rain as well. I am glad to see your dragging at the first location did not cause you harm like happened to Sailing Nandji. Its that one time of nah I'll check it tomorrow that can cause great regret. Then again I am sure that is easily said than actually doing every single time. Thanks for another great video. Congrats on passing 100K subscribers!
Hi Guys, Looks like you have a nice secure spot for your flexible solar panels. The only downside is that the panels and cloth that they are mounted to can get quite hot. It is conceivable that it could get hot enough to start the fabric on fire. Maybe check the temperature at local noon during summer. I had a small flexible panel mounted on a fiberglass deck hatch and it cooked the gelcoat right off the hatch although it did take 10 years in tropics.

Been there, done that. Use two anchors. Pick your spot let out twice your desired scope, Backdown hard and set it. Drop the second hook. Now let out on the second hook and take in on the first one. Minimum scope of three and a half to one, five is better. Secure the rodes. Did it for four and a half years and never dragged.
New sub here . Your videos are enjoyable , and informative. I really relate to Desiree ... glad she is filming this experience . She is so real and down to earth. Stay safe and well!!
Thanks for sharing your adventures in the Caribbean and beyond. My wife and I normally get down there on a cruise at least once per year from Canada. For now, we're enjoying watching you guys & liked, commented and subscribed! ;)
@@ProjectAtticus We are counting on it! I know it's not in the Caribbean but our next vacation, we're driving to New York City and spending a day or two, go on a pizza tour (it's a thing) etc. and then cruise to Bermuda which the ship docks in Bermuda for almost 3 days. Oh ya! :)
Hiya Chaps, I had aLegionella infection in 2007 in France in 2007, and I nearly died from pneumonia so be careful with water, nearly boil the water before you board, and the legionella infection does not have a chance. But otherwise have fun :)
Go 60 miles south to eco-preserve Escudo de Ver Aguas. It has a hundreds of mini islands around it and a 60 foot tall reef, beautiful beaches and clear diving. There are about 10-20 fishermen clustered in two spots. Openings in the reef have beacons.

I stopped the video to come here to say that the editing in this video is top notch. Great work.
