  • By using JB weld you can repair your flat iron plates, if they have popped out and wont stay in.

My wife dropped her GHD straightener which snapped off the little plastic tabs under one ceramic plate. The process and product you've described worked really well. Thanks

I just dropped my flat iron and the plate was halfway off and I'm like no way I'm buying another one, there has to be someone on UA-cam that knows how to fix it, and it was you lol. Thank you so much!

Thank you so much! I was so upset when my croc plate came loose at the thought of shelling out all that money on a new one or even worse having to get a cheap one but you saved me.

Thank you so much! Your video saved me from having to buy a new flat iron. Plus, I also fixed my vacuum cleaner with JB Weld. I wish I knew about this amazing, strong glue years ago.

So funny that this is from about 10 years ago. Around that time I dropped my favorite pair and one plate fell out like this... I still have them because they were somewhat new. They are right now within arms reach and looks like they will be repaired soon. Thank you!

Thank you for this video. A piece of the ceramic plate on my straightener chipped off, so I will try this glue on it and let you know how it works. I have a feeling it will work just fine as I’m reading other comments. Thanks a lot!

Tks for the video. Was just about to buy another expensive flat iron until I saw this. Researched the epoxy u are using but it does not say heat resistent and JB Weld has a heat resistent one already mixed. Would this one also be just as good?

so what if one of my plates (the one above the LED light) only turns on if it is pushed down all the way on the right side of the plate? it's really weird because this plate didn't actually pop out but it only works if it is pushed down a certain way. would your repair method still work for this? thanks :)

    • @six7media834

Sounds like a connection/wire which repairing you would have to release plate then glue back I guess💁

you have just increased your chances of causing the heater element to break, you have no play on that plate and the shock when closing the ions together will go strait threw heater element as they is no shock absorption on that plate. It would of cost less to buy a new part from ion originals.
