My mom used to flip on the hall light that has a really loud switch, open my door, and put a cat on me.

I've got a friend whose sister is autistic and she's now 31 and sticks to the routines she had when she was 10. Gets up at the same time, watches cartoons, eats and showers. She then goes to her parents office (they have their own business), and comes home eats dinner and sleeps at the same time. She has a very hard with any change to routine, Abbie is doing so well with going with the flow when she needs to!!

I watch u guys religiously lol and all I can say is thanks for explaining stuff and breaking it down my son has a specific learning disability abd have my 2 "nephew's" have autism and u guys help me so much with ideas and different ways to approach things thanks u guys are my role models

My bf is terrible to wake up he will wake up enough to say something and trick me hes up then he’s out again and redo the process 10x. I’m easy to wake up him shifting can wake me up or the dog getting down in the morning I’ll be wide awake but I’m not a morning person I don’t talk or happy times till about an hour later.

It’s so weird for me to see people dressed the way Abbey was dressed in those cute shorts and t-shirt in the middle of November 😱! When I’m here wearing fleece PJs with lots of layers underneath and cuddled under a fleece electric blanket 😆.

I watch you guys all the time and made me learn so much I had a family come it to my restaurant and there autism kid and I saw he keep looking at the disco ball but see keep it off all the time so I ask the parents if he would like it on and when I did he got up and started to dance and it just made my heart melt

Cilla, you should look at finding cotton/comfy fabric overalls for the cooler weather. They are very in style right now. I think Abbie would rock the look. Especially with all her cute shoes. I find them way less restrictive than jeans.
I just love how cilla is with Abby in the mornings when she gets her up for the day, cilla you are absolutely positively mom goals! My 8 yo asd son never likes it when I wake him, he tells me to get out of his bed, then tells me to get out of his room😂 he’ll get up and then he’ll do his routine and then come to the kitchen and get breakfast and sit at the dining table to start school virtually. So I guess he is tired of me🤣
I have a son with autism. He's almost 12 and nonverbal. You and daddy's videos have made helped me so much. My son and Ab's remind me of one another. She is so beautiful. Thank you and dad for these beautiful videos! Abbie looks so much like you, mom. :) Beautiful women!

I really appreciate this conversation about routines. I have very particular routines on how to do certain things but not necessarily a strict day to day routine. Also totally with Asa, not a morning person either :)

Asa I used to try and set my coffee timer too. It was to complicated so I stopped. If I have to go somewhere I put the water and coffee in the night before and then just turn on the coffee maker when I wake up

Yes, the wood and Also colors effect some autistic people, Along with the change of the position of the chair
Certainly, it was the feel of the chair, and Kimberly Baldwin Brantley mentions color, absolutely color those two things would throw her off. We have this with our nephew and food - color and smell, he knows the difference and will smack or push it and tell us no.
