- Isaiah is home for the holidays! We don't always know what kind of reaction we are going to get from Abbie. It warms our heart when she expresses excitement to see someone, especially her big brother.

I love how Abbie jumped out of bed when asked if she wanted to see her brother. I do believe she has missed him. Glad Isaiah had a safe trip back home and even got a home-cooked meal from his mom.

I’m so thrilled for Asa and Pricilla. I know how it feels to let your first born go out into the world; it’s scary and lonely. Don’t worry too much, Asa and Pricilla, you raised an awesome human in your son. He will do great things.

I remember being so worried when I realized one of my students ate the core of his apple.... I never learned that the “cyanide” in the seeds is pretty much a myth. Google taught me that day. 😅 Fun fact: the chemical in them is a trace amount of the precursor to cyanide (I think). You would have to eat many many apple seeds to actually feel sick.
My nephew would eat the entire apple too. Seeing the hug Abbie gave Isaiah 🥰
Our cat was originally named Kiki but I nicknamed her the Prima Donna because she I felt it fit her with her keeping the two boy cats we had in line and delegating between them; she also acted like she was the boss of everyone and she just walked very regally/elegantly. The word Prima Donna just fit her to me
My cat I adopted a couple months after my other cat passed away from old age was named Jodi, but I changed it to Fallon. The cat who passed away was named Marley. I miss him every day.
We named one of our dogs Florence, it lasted 2 days before we changed it to Piper, she was far too naughty to be named after someone from the magic roundabout so we went for orange is the new black instead 🤣
Oh my goodness I have all the Alf shows on DVD. Even as an adult now I love him. LOL

This just melts my 💕. I have two boys, my oldest has Autism. My boys are best friends, they love each other so much, just like Abbie and Isaiah
My nephew is Autistic and he's 15 teen ...he makes all them noises too claps his hands together he's just such a blessing .. .very smart boy

With my parents, my dad does all the grocery shopping. I started several years ago when my mom's mobility began to decrease and she refused to use an electric cart at the grocery store.
As far as turkeys: Up here, WA, the smaller ones sold out really fast. I requested (store pick-up) an 8-12 lbs turkey since I live alone.* Instead, the store gave me a 19 lbs bird!!! I just cooked it yesterday and have a ton of leftovers!
*WA restricted Thanksgiving gatherings to ones own household unless attendees were able to fully quarantine for 14 days leading up to the gathering. That's still in effect, and may be through the rest of the holidays.
