I don’t think he meant he’s exactly like Tyson, it’s just how Tyson had everybody scared and had crazy power, he’s pretty much sayin wilder has that same effect today
bottom line is the 10 count isn't significant. the ref has to think of the safety of the fighter, there was no chance based on other previous opponents of wilder that allowing the fight to continue would end other than him being sent to the hospital in an ambulance. 10 count is just a formality in these kinds of situations and not the rule.
@FRACAS FOREMOST It wasn't 12 seconds that's an exaggeration to start secondly the ref is not meant to start the count until wilder was in the neutral corner and he was dancing like a prat for bout 6 seconds and the time given is to assess the fighter after a heavy knock down why and if your going to bring that up how about the other 30 seconds that wilder got to be assessed by the doctor after a minute rest between rounds when he was in trouble against Ortiz? Don't duck the comment
@FRACAS FOREMOST Irrespective of that the ref had discretion to check the fighters capability to continue you see it all the time in boxing it's his job to ensure he's safe take a look at the time Wilder got after the minute in his corner against Ortiz which was more than ample time for the doc to look at him end of the day Fury got up within the 10 count and the ref did his job and ensured he was safe to continue go watch the crolla the Loma fight done the same then too
@FRACAS FOREMOST Omg mate what are you on about the ref rooting for Fury so what the ref meant to do not assess the fighter all refs do it I bet your one of the 1% of people who think wilder won that fight aswell because he scored 2 knock downs 😂 that's not the way boxing is scored the reason the ref didn't wave it off was because at no time in the fight was fury hurt he hadn't taken any punishment and you think it would have been fair to wave a fight off in the 12th in which Fury got up inside the count and had won 9 or 10 of the other rounds

Deontay is a very nice, down to earth, sweet person. He’s from my hometown, and I worked with him years ago. He’s always been a very great person and great dad. I’m so glad he’s had and is having so much success.
I used to go to a boxing gym in Maryland, one of the trainers at the gym was Roger Leonard (Sugar's brother, also a former professional boxer with a winning record). He told a group of kids training at the gym that "If you don't go in with the mindset of wanting to rip the other guys head off, you're going to lose every single time" That stuck out and imprinted in my brain and I understand why Wilder said that "I'm going to Kill him" thing.
You are right. It is ruled as what it was: a knockdown. Big deal. It happens many times in boxing. Someone gets knocked down and still wins the fight. That’s why they say you need a knock out to win when you are too far behind in points. They don’t say you need a knock down unless you are only down one round. It’s amazing to me how little is understood when the rules are quite simple. The rules are expressly designed to prevent someone who gets a lucky punch or two from winning an entire fight when they were losing the whole time. The great part is, that they can still win by knock out: not knock down. Wilder had the rest of the round to finish Fury and not only could not finish him, but lost the rest of the round. Just ridiculous actually.
Considering it was the final round of a WBC title fight that Fury was winning by a significant margin it would have been pretty fucked up if he wasnt given an opportunity to carry on.
@@ministryOFmuff He looked like he was dead, bro. I was watching live and when that shot landed I thought "Oh my god he knocked him stiff. What a legendary KO." DAZN wants to become the UFC of boxing, they want to sign contracts with everyone so they can make them fight whenever they want. Good thing some boxers aren't signing contracts with them like Pacquiao.
They don’t want undefeated fighters losing because people watch undefeated fighters to see if they’ll lose not win. Wilder v AJ NEVER HAPPENING. Wilder too scared of losing his unbeaten record. And Eddie heard + AJ too gready. Wanting too much of the purse. Mike Tyson woulda took pay cut to make it happen.
Not how scoring works. Wilder scored 2 knockdowns and landed the more meaningful shots. Fury did not, while you can give Fury the slight edge, a draw isn't outside the realm of possibility.
What is a 10 cound supposed to represent? I can make a 10 count last 4 seconds, I can make it last 40 seconds. If I make it 40 seconds would you not consider it a bullshit count? And if I race through it in 4 seconds, is that not bullshit as well? So the question is, how do we determine what a legitimate pace of a 10 count should be? The only objective measure would be to make the 10 count equivalent to 10 seconds. If we're not going by any sort of objective measure then either a 4 or 40 second 10 count should be equally valid to a 10 second count. See how this open ended horse shit makes no sense?
You do know that the ref is not the one who starts the count right? Let alone the pace of it.. The ringside guys does that. The ref picks up from him (at his on pace) after the fighter is in the neutral corner
The thing is, that’s how fury fights haha he cannot fight any better 😂 people saying 70% fury, wait till he’s 100% haha he doesn’t fight any different.
Hector Morones I dunno bro, fury won the first as you say, and that was pretty much straight off the bat of a two and a half year layoff, he’s getting fitter by the day, I think the rematch fury might just school him a bit harder
Robbie Wilkin Doesn’t matter if a prime Mike and Deontay would get in a ring, that prime Mike would knock him out within 3 rounds. You also need skill.
Was the fight close without knockdowns? 84-71 in a 12 round fight averages out to 7-6 per round... That very close... Now add the knockdowns & it isn't even close anymore. Wilder was robbed.
Wilder is a beast and his state of mind makes sense he wants to be at the top so him wanting to kill his opponent and take advantage of that, you can't go at Wilder with a weak mentality.
Alex That’s not how boxing works. Two knockdowns don’t win a fight, and that’s all Wilder did. Fury won every other round maybe aside from one. Not only that but after the last knockdown Fury won the rest of the round lmao. He got robbed plain and simple. There’s zero argument for a draw or a wilder win.
@@Leeroynumanuma Funny how you downplay the 2 knockdowns (including the obvious) but want to say Fury won because he was able to sneak in a few jabs through the course of the fight. He never hurt the champ but you think Fury should have Wilder's belt. FOH.
The knockdown count only starts when the other fighter goes back to their corner. And fury won... plain and simple. Yeah he was knocked down, but that’s just scored at a 10-8 to wilder. I was to be generous to wilder it’d be 3 rounds to fury’s 9 rounds. Fury wins.
With wilder being 40-0 and fury being 27-0 I think the promoters and judges were to scared to give either one of them their first loss. because of how close the fight looked, not how it was scored. so the went the safe route with a draw to set up a rematch.
Fury got knocked down twice, that's two rounds where Wilder scored 4 points, all he needs is another couple of rounds to win and its a draw. People act like Fury won every round in the fight. A draw was the right decision.

@@karaghana4715 I like your passion, but I wouldn't really count 50 pounds of extra fat as much of an upper hand, arguably, it's a deterrent. Ask yourself, if Tyson loses those 50 pounds of fat and replaces them with even just 10 pounds of muscle, do you think he'll be in a better spot or a worse spot? The fact that Tyson was *quicker* than him while being 50 pounds heavier and fatter, that's hella impressive. Respect the sport, there's something incredible about a man that's genuinely more out of shape than another, by a very significant margin, still be the quicker more evasive one. Just for the beauty of boxing it's a wonder to watch. Be honest, did you expect Tyson to do what he did? Who besides him really did. If it was all about weight then I'd just say throw the fatest dude in the ring and he's an automatic winner. Come on man, keep it real.
@@karaghana4715 Again, if you think that 50 pounds of blubber is going to help you against a 210 pound elite athlete who hits like a truck, then argue for it, but I feel that it's a deterrent, especially because of how Tyson fights. He doesn't use that weight to tire out his opponent, he doesn't lean on them. The point I'm making and you seem to willfully be ignoring is that *Tyson* was the quicker boxer that was dancing circles around Wilder. *That's* what I'm impressed by. A blubbery, awkward looking bigger dude was *quicker* than a man that looks like a prime example of athletic ability. If with that 50 pounds he was just weighing down on wilder and just trying to muscle his way through, like a Butterbean, then I'd agree with you about the weight, but the fact that he was quicker and more athletic is incredible. You're not really being honest if you don't admit that. Seems like you care more about Wilder than the sport itself. I'm just here to admire the sport and all of the ways it continues to surprise me.
@@rasdasa So Tyson Fury was not the undefeated, lineal champ? He didn't dance circles around Wilder he simple ran for as long as he could & he was fighting at the same weight he has been fighting at his entire career. 6'9, 260 is fat on Fury, so I guess Lebron is fat then, right. Stop it. Fury got his nose busted, his forehead busted by a punch, he got his with just about the same amount of punches that he host Fury with except Wilder has far greater punching power & that was evident in the damage done to Fury not even including the devastating knockdowns.
Why would Fury be scared of Wilder? He out-boxed him and clearly won that fight. After getting so out of shape, and only having a few low level tune up fights? He's only had more time to train and get better. I highly doubt Fury is scared of Wilder.
People will dislike this but I don’t think he is a terrible technically. He’s very smart because if you notice most of his knockouts come from a 1-2 punch so he blinds people with a jab using the left than loads up the right hand, the great eraser, and ends people’s careers.

I swear so many people forgot a 10 count literally dosnt have to be 10 seconds. Its the refs job.
look into it
bottom line is the 10 count isn't significant. the ref has to think of the safety of the fighter, there was no chance based on other previous opponents of wilder that allowing the fight to continue would end other than him being sent to the hospital in an ambulance. 10 count is just a formality in these kinds of situations and not the rule.
They know that but they believe it shouldn't be
@FRACAS FOREMOST It wasn't 12 seconds that's an exaggeration to start secondly the ref is not meant to start the count until wilder was in the neutral corner and he was dancing like a prat for bout 6 seconds and the time given is to assess the fighter after a heavy knock down why and if your going to bring that up how about the other 30 seconds that wilder got to be assessed by the doctor after a minute rest between rounds when he was in trouble against Ortiz?

He told a group of kids training at the gym that "If you don't go in with the mindset of wanting to rip the other guys head off, you're going to lose every single time" That stuck out and imprinted in my brain and I understand why Wilder said that "I'm going to Kill him" thing.

But he did win the remainder round. Wilder wasn't really fighting.
10 rounds for what? Making Wilder miss? You have to hit the opponent.
Not how scoring works. Wilder scored 2 knockdowns and landed the more meaningful shots. Fury did not, while you can give Fury the slight edge, a draw isn't outside the realm of possibility.

10 count has never been 10 seconds it's just a count.. this has been disputed many times, Fury definetly won fair and square
C 4 10secs doesn’t allow for a fighter not being in a neutral corner. Ref has discretion for that reason
Fury nearly got killed and I would advise him not to fight Wilder again :)

The fact that Tyson was *quicker* than him while being 50 pounds heavier and fatter, that's hella impressive.
Just imagine what an in-shape prime fury could’ve done in that fight
Fury was hurt in and after that fight..that's why he turned down an immediate rematch..they may fight at a later date
People will dislike this but I don’t think he is a terrible technically. He’s very smart because if you notice most of his knockouts come from a 1-2 punch so he blinds people with a jab using the left than loads up the right hand, the great eraser, and ends people’s careers.
Both should stick to talking about mma. And Schaub is a Showtime mouthpiece
There is a video to prove that Tyson Fury did beat the ten count vs Deontay Wilder Joe go back and have a look
Ppl don't understand a 10 count isn't 10 seconds it's upto the referee to count out 10 and the ringside general
@@Alex-me4qx That's not part of the count
@@Alex-me4qx The discussion is about the count.
There's a video on UA-cam look it up
Wilders my guy always have been, but Im still cracking up how Joe explained his daughter talking about James Charles
Deontay Wilder is the baddest man on the 🌎
DEONTAY vs AJ is the only fight that we all really want too see now, Lets make it happen NOW !!!
J KING nice to meet you floyd mayweather
J KING has the making of being one of the biggest heavyweight fights of all time. 🏴 vs 🇺🇸 both undefeated, let’s get it on!!!
krezo
I get that all the time
TMT 👍
J KING hahaha you do look like him TBF
J KING 100%
Fury v wilder was awesome! Draw was an ok result even if Fury win more rounds..
How much do you want to see Joshua v Wilder?!!!!! Boxing heaven
Paul Whitehead he got knocked down twice that means 2 rounds fury won turn to 9-9 rds that’s why it was a draw
I just want to see Wilder vs Fury II, Wilder vs. Joshua, or Fury vs. Joshua - those fuckers all need to nut up and fight each other not these nobodies, this is what people want to see ffs.
@@meme-cn6mv that still makes it 116-112 to fury.
@@jasonahdjfhsdfg 118-110 Wilder in my scorecard, Fury landed 15 shots, Wilder landed 27 and all of them power shots.
@@stanislavkotzev4157 you must be trolling hahahahaha. PS don't like your own comment it makes you look desperate 😂😂😂
Wilder reminds me of George Foreman when he was knocking out everyone
Joe: Bro (10/9 scored for Joe)
Shaub: Dude (10/9 scored for Shaub)
Joe: Bro (10/9 scored for Joe)
Shaub: Dude (10/9 scored for Shaub)
However, Shaub did say "Dude" at 0:17, so the winner by Unanimous Decision is Brendan Shaub
"He's a sweetheart"?! Urgh!
Bob 1 cringeworthy
Bro deontay wilder could punch like that for 214 pounds now 223.but...bro imagine a 254 or 260 might as well already come the hardest and the most scariest boxer of all time
prob wouldn’t have the same speed
Wilder is a beast a true American champion
Fury won that fight, it's pretty straight forward, only americans still think Wilder was on the same level that night and not all of them cause he won lot of u.s. fans over
He definitely put up the best fight of anyone Wilder has faced. I’d watch a Wilder vs Fury 2 if they ever did it again
"He's a sweetheart."
Joe Rogan should watch what Wilder did to stervene in their rematch. That one was even more brutal imo
The way Stiverne just fucking jello pudding flopped on the ropes after the third knockdown... like got damn lmao
The most casual boxing fans in the world lol
😂😂 facts
“Muh casuals just because I don’t agree with them!!!!”
@@choppertoteme5007 no.. because they don't know what theyre talking about.. they make so many errors when talking about boxing, it's rules and history, that it's laughable
CHopper Toteme It’s not even that I don’t agree with them. It’s the superficial way Rogan talks about boxing with his guests. It’s not a problem, casual fans are cool.
Felt like I was watching that “Dude, Dude, Dude!!!! Dudeeeee” scene from baseketball
Wait what? He didn't take the DAZN money so that he can fight Joshua? Lol is that the excuse he's giving now? The DAZN deal was a 3 fight deal including 2 fights with Joshua.
And don't insult Tyson like that, Tyson had much more skill than Wilder.
Obviously you are disabled. If he signs with DAZN he can fight AJ but not Fury since the Gypsy King is only on ESPN wake up idiot it wasn't that hard to understand Wilder wants both not one or the other
@@catdiggitydog3307 yeah?? It wasnt a life long deal you fucking idiot. Brezeale, two joshua fights and then he can fuck off. He can fight both
@@catdiggitydog3307 "obviously you are disabled" I can't stop laughing
@@Kashmachine10 maybe he doesn't wanna do that dumb fuck maybe after he puts Joshua to sleep he wants to rematch fury straight away. The only ones talking about a rematch clause is AJs side. Maybe they know there boy going night night 😴🤣😂
CatDiggity Dog He could've fought Fury as soon as he was done with Joshua, it's not like it was a 10 fight deal lol. If he's so confident he'll come out on top, why not just take the easy 100mil and then fight Fury? Doesn't look like that Fury rematch is coming any time soon anyway. Stop making excuses for the guy, he's avoiding Whyte too.
I liked Joe up until now thinking Wilder actually won Fury 😂😂
Wilder did beat Fury, he KOd the man. The guy had his eyes closed, there where no neef to count. In MMA and any other sport is a knock out and it was.
@@thedrinkingman5221 ye he ko him even tho he got back up and won the rest of the round😂😂
Beat the brakes off fury, fury had tap punches ran all the hard hitting punches and aggressiveness came from wilder, fury didn't do shit, wilder hurt fury fury never hurt wilder just like when Mayweather fights when Mayweather lands its quiet when other opponents land one punch want to announce it go crazy like gtfoh
Dont think his the new tyson...imo his more like george foreman.
Li Osmani I agree.
Wilder knocked out a human statue.... how impressive🙄
Rafa Benitez Is God stfu casual
Shade 45 ur trying to say breazeale is top heavyweight? Breazeale is so fckin slow and stuck in mud boxer. He was supposed to lose. How is he casual? Breazeale was the easiest choice. Even miller would give wilder better fight than breazeale. Sit and and think about it a little.
Floyd Mayweather give wilder credit he knocked every out in every fight and mike Tyson never beat the best only knocked out bums
With tits saggier than my grandmas
Tee Moncrief don’t get me wrong. I respect wilder. He’s a fckin dangerous animal. Just breazeale isn’t on his level.
Thank god brandon quit fighting. He’s such a good guest! Over the last year he has grown so much as a personality.
The new Mike Tyson? How many bongs did Rogan smoke before this podcast?
Considering the fact that Mike Tyson only was successful as a contender and only his first two title defenses and then lost every single big fight of his career afterwards and got knocked the hell out in multiple fights by everyone that was decent. Do you still believe that Mike Tyson is a God? He is simply an overrated lovable loser of the Fans... 💯💯
@@HZGamingVR Exactly my friend
@@HZGamingVR sit in the corner casual.
The new Mike Tyson...lol
Even then, Tyson would’ve washed Wilder. Tyson has that knockout power in spades, but also was technically gifted in the way he moved and could slip away from punches. Wilder is just pure power, not much in the way of finesse though
He kinda is tbf , there all scared and beat before they step in the ring . until he meets holyfield ( AJ ) ;)
BigBossMan257 mike Tyson never beat the best competition when he did he lost that simple it’s the truth
Tee Moncrief big facts people are so delusional sure wilder isn’t as technically skilled but he also isn’t a undisciplined fuck up
Tee Moncrief wilder can recover from adversity like in the fury & Ortiz fight. And mike crumbled like in the buster Douglas fight, or Holyfield. We’re talking about a guy who literally DQ himself because he couldn’t handle it.
The count was exactly 9 second... proof out there...
Yh it was only 9 seconds but he got up and still couldn’t stand by himself so either way that fight wasn’t going to carrying on
m.ua-cam.com/video/3B9l-W7-hQQ/v-deo.html
Thank you...
Where's your proof?
He beat the count its on record. Like the draw is on record
When fury won . get over it
6:38 the face you make when someone hit you with a silent fart
Joes gonna tell fury he thinks he beat the count when hes back on JRE
It is not a exact 10 second count. It is the Referees 10 count..
The referee does not take a time piece into the ring..
Mind Blowing the count should be kept by a monitor or ring assistant then picked up by the ref after the ref gets order. That’s how’s it’s been since the change of the rules in the 1950s where have u been?
@@PharoahTheGoldX The Referee does HIS ten count usually whilst looking intently at a fighters response and looking intently into the fighters eyes for a response, I have never seen a ten count done differently, Where have you been ?
Got 2 give credit where it’s due, Deontay is a talented athlete but he is definitely no Mike Tyson... Iron Mike could make other fighters miss with that elusive weave with a loaded left hook and right uppercut that would destroy his opponents, greatest Heavyweight Boxer in his prime when Cus was alive!
