Born in 80, I grew up loving Tyson, I love listening to him now.
Ken Shamrock was my Idol back when I was a kid, so in awe of his MMA. We as kids use to tell each other, Shamrock is a real fighter in real life too(when he was performing at WWF) and that he was so dangerous even for Stone Cold Steve Austin 🤣 Good times. He was so fierce!
Ken shamrock it was fighters like you who fought to keep this sport alive and you where a pioneer of this sport.
Your a legend ...
Ken is a well-spoken, genuine man who has not, and probably never will, lose his passion for the sport that he loves. Loved this interview!
I was a group home kid too from nothing. I got everything i focused on now and am still fighting to keep my internal peace. Respect to anyone who beat those odds. Two of the baddest men on the planet right there.
The Legend Ken Shamrock ☘️ That was Outstanding!
Shamrock was a master of selling a fight through hype. A lot of people think his trash was real, because he learned it so well in the Entertainment wrestling world, but he was a great hype machine. Connor learned everything he knew in that regard from watching Shamrock videos.
Kids you see how mike is dead silent mostly? It's because he knows just what a legend and badass ken shamrock was back in the day, this guys career is fucking legendary.
You can tell there is so much mutual respect between them.
Yes and no. Mike also takes a backseat on his own podcast. If the host wasnt there, he'd be fucked.
It’s cause he’s stoned and eating
@jauron daniels EXACTLY THIS!! The whole point of having guests on a show, any show, is to hear and listen to what THEY have to say! The host is always there so they can talk when there are no guests. So many hosts talk over or interrupt the guest and we miss what they're saying.
Well because shamrock is a dangerous man in his own right lol Mike is chill but he knows people still fear him and all these rappers that come on the show might be tough and can shoot yo azz but when you sitting across the table from a trained fighter, it’s kinda hard to maintain the tough guy persona 😂😂
Is it just me or does Mike have a memory like an Elephant (if I’m saying that right) he remembers everything
Kevin. You are so dead right. I catch that too every episode. Good catch.
Mikeyy12 C.Lennz 😂😂
The details too. He’s so interested and Curious about history.
Michael Briand yes, conquers and warriors particularly
No its true 100
***YOU KNOW WHEN TYSON STARTS DROPPING ANCIENT HISTORY WE GOIN DEEEEP!***
You know what I use to think Ken shamrock was cocky from the first UFC fights. But hearing his story now I have gained a whole new respect for him.
Ken Shamrock: Most kids were introverted and let it out through art or singing. Me it was through violence.
Mike Tyson & Eben: (celebrating chuckle of approval) Hehhehehehehehe...
MAN, I LOVE MIKE TYSON. HE IS THE BEST. IRON MIKE TYSON
Nobody is going to tell Mike to stop eating on the mic lol
Don’t kid yourself
You go 1st lol
@@beeasy6170 😂😂😂
@Ron McDon 😂😂
Hes earned that right lol
I’m glad mike started his own podcast. Seems like every person that he has on is legit excited to be there.
I just wish Mike would treat it more seriously and not eat in to a mic.
@@Plague_Doc22 cry baby
@@Plague_Doc22 i think that’s the cool part, he’s comfortable and it feels like he’s in my living room when I’m watching his podcast.
@@issam995 Comfortable and pulling down the quality is very different. He can eat, I dont mind...but dont chew in to the mic like he did for a few occasions.
@@Plague_Doc22 I agree. Maybe it's just me but I feel he can be a bit hard to understand at the best of times. A mouthful of food doesnt help.
2 men that I look up to since they started out. I'm 39 and they still have my Total respect to this day...
Ken Shamrock has never been one to shy away from a good story, and doesn't mind embellishing a bit. As much of a fan as I've been for the last 20+ years, he doesn't always come across as likeable. But this interview really painted Ken in a new light, and I'm glad I watched it.
Man Ken is actually a really cool dude and hearing him speak his story and experience has been awesome
The media never really showed ken in a good light but you can easily see from this he is a very smart and likeable person
Seriously. I'm guilty of having the wrong impression of him too.
Maybe cuz he kinda looks like a meathead but he’s definitely more than just a meathead lookin guy 😂😂
Honestly, kudos to Ken, he’s in unbelievable shape for his age.
Ken is going through his dramatic story of growing up and Mike's just watching like a movie, eating popcorn 😆😆
😆😁👍
Great interview. Mike eating was driving me crazy though. For some reason, I hate eating noises on TV commercials, Radio commercials, and apparently Podcasts. LOL. Two legends right there. The first time I saw Shamrock fight (on VHS Tape), I was like wow.
@@RogerThatImages joey diaz does that when he drinks water into the microphone too 😂
Despite the UFC having less strict rules back then Ken Shamrock is doing really well. Most of these retired fighters are punch drunk and can barely complete a sentence.
I love how Mike let's people talk and he is genuinely interested feeding off the stories 😎
Ralph Horris I know right Tyson respects all fighters.
Tyson in full fledged gangster mode, sitting in a killer suit eating handfuls of nuts 😂
What a legend, Ken included, OGs
it was distracting but what am i gonna do about it
pause
What Smoke? Just Nuts!! Respect fo Shamrock. . . . . . .
Mike needs to be more professional and not eat food while doing a podcast. It’s annoying to listen to him chew. Get his nuts out of your mouth
@@TstanDa-Man Say that complaint to him please.
Mike gave me goose bumps when he casually said he wanted to make cuss happy he would knock out five people a day that would make cuss happy.
Dude that was INSANE. I Love how Ken brought it out of him and reacted with just a big smile and silence. This was my favorite episode yet.
Similar up bringings blessed to have found those good father figures
Mike having a case of the munchies and giggling is the most entertaining thing I've seen in a long time.
Ken is the best story teller Mike has had on his show by far!! Great podcast!🤙🏾
Huge respect and love for Ken Shamrock. MMA ICON. More than a legend, an icon.
*THIS WAS AN ABSOLUTELY AMAZING PODCAST ONLY DOWNSIDE WAS IT WAS TOO SHORT*
TWO
ABSOLUTE
LEGENDS
Seeing these 2 connect on such a personal level is amazing! Best podcast ever
15:38 I swear the whole time Mike's just staring @ Ken and eating popcorn like he's watching a movie on tv lol
Right lol
Time well spent. Two fighting legends. And we know had Mike Tyson in his prime gotten into a MMA training, he would also had make his mark. Mike Tyson is not just boxer, he's got the warrior's heart. Ken Shamrock has humbled down noticeably.
Always been one of my favorite fighters, his story is beyond inspirational
I had no idea that Ken Shamrock could be so interesting. Loved this episode, I think it is one of the best. They let Shamrock speak, it was very good. I hope they bring more mma guys from Ken Shamrock's time.
Damn I didn’t know about shamrocks youth and his oldest brother .He is a straight g explains why he is the way he is .
The worlds most dangerous man meets the baddest man on the planet... Love to see it! 💜
I idolized Ken Shamrock when he was in WWE. His theme music was great, looked great was able to incorporate shoot moves into wrestling.
Any time I got angry as a kid, I would do the Shamrock freakout 😂
Definitely should have been a world champion but his character was great
HE'S GONNA SNAP!
Ken is one of the guys that made ufc what it is today! In his prime he was a beast! One of my favorites! He deserves alot more respect the. He gets! A true warrior !
Love when that Hot Boxin' Bass kicks in.
Great teachers and role models can make a huge difference in a young persons life!
Man this was such a great episode of touched my heart I grew up in the same situation 42 separate charges before I hit 17... I love three dudes who get their heads right now if we could just get them saved if they aren't already. Listen to these OG's youngsters.
Mike checks his phone while his guest is talking, eating nuts on the microphone. LOL rogan would be having a fit. Funny
Mike was listening to the story, eating peanuts, like he was in heaven. Two goats 🐐 🐐
Rogan wouldn’t say a word go watch Rogan laughing about mike saying his back hurts after those sparring sessions we’ve seen video of
bro jogan
Mike does whatever he wants he is that kind of creature
That's because lets be real, Tyson doesnt run the podcast at all. He needs someone to do that for him.
Shamrock is an interesting guy. He did a great job with Bret and Steve at Wrestlemania.
When he slammed Bret that was hilarious 😂😂
When Ken starts talking about stem cells, Mike is suddenly intensely listening. Tyson later mentioned on Rogan's show that he was doing stem cell therapy in preparation for his comeback.
I just commented this above I guess I was 17 hours late but hey great minds think alike
@awis linear are you serious? Stem Cells are known to be the fountain of youth.
@@redoz9768 how much it cost I'm 43 bodybuilder on a budget with lots of injurys
@@hectorrodriquez3182 budget and stem cells arent going to mesh well in a sentence lol
And Mike Tyson showed the world he is STILL Iron Mike!
13:36 I am glad as a Japanese that Shamrock mentioned Seikatsu Funaki's name.
He is a legend who worked for a pro wrestling organization and then created Pancrase,
a pioneering MMA organization in the early 90s.
Funaki also fought Rickson Gracie, the brother of Royce Gracie.
"I became relevant, because I was good at something. Before that I was a punk kid who was going to die before I was 18."
Powerful stuff
Wow this guy got me into ufc
Same
