    Reminds me of when I first got my st tuned to stage 3. Constantly checking things, thinking the slightest sound is bad just to find I'm being paranoid. But hey better safe then sorry. GL on meeting your power goals and the build!

    You should definitely look into pvc door cards just to make the interior a bit more comfortable.

    1st view and Comment! Love you guys, really get me hyped to build my own motor. Though, I'd like to know if getting Speed Performance's 2.3 stroker is worth it.

      If I may help, I'm in the process of rebuilding my STs motor and I bought the full rebuild kit that comes with everything from Speed Perf6rmanc3. Even though the stroker kit would be awesome, it doesn't come with everything else you'll need like head bolts, gaskets, friction washers etc. You're looking at another $1000 dollars in hardware and tools that doesn't come with that kit. If you have the money, go for it, but it's not practical. I really don't know much about stroking these motors and what benefits it provides. I just know from a personal stand point it's a lot more work and more money to be spent. If you're just looking for more power, buy the normal rebuild kit for the EcoBoost and slap a big turbo on and WMI and you'll be set. Do I think it's worth it, no. Would it be cool to have, yes.

      @@bradenblais1874 Hmmm. I know this is probably breaking some rule out there, or is on a thread of the forums, but what about high-compression pistons with the 2.3 crankshaft? Run lower boost with a full e85 tune(like 21lbs), Add in the Piper Rally cams I'd think you have a nice Ecoboost that likes to sing. Though I don't know if that would be dangerous, potentially teetering on the verge of wondering if you'll blow your motor anytime to get into boost. :/ I'd like to try this all out, but it cost so much damn money.

      @@longwingdetrain3183 I'm not sure man. You'd really have to search the forums and see what works and what other people are doing. I know a lot of guys use the 2.0 block to make a 2.3 and share parts and stuff. It's like a frankenstein motor between the 2.3 and the 2.0. I do know that it will instantly need to be taken to a dyno so it won't possibly grenade itself on a stock tune. You'd really have to do the research and find out what works and that's the best advice I can give. Research. Research. Research. Talk to our vendors and tuners for the EcoBoost. See what they say. Knowledge is powerful when working on these motors. And understand that it won't be cheap either. ~$3000 for parts, ~$500 for tools, ~$500 for misc stuff, and ~$1000 for good dyno sessions.

    Been creeping your vids for awhile.. Im getting ready to do the pop n drop in my ST.. But im curious on 2 things.
    1. 4bar map.. Whats the benefits?
    2. Are you running WMI or aux fuel? I am multiport WMI injected.. I habe a brand new factory motor with about 4k on it as it popped under warranty and i got a new one.. Also would like to share some pics with you show you what ive done..

    Hey bud I’m currently building a 2.3 stroker with cams but the machine shop lost the two rearward cam caps. I saw you installed a few cam caps from the cracked head onto your new head and was wondering if you had them line bored? I plan on using the rearward caps from the stock motor.

    i just went stage 3 on mine and holy shit man im looking forward to doing aux and BT. Good content need more of it ! Also wanted to ask you? Do you have the RMM from Damond? Put mine in and the NVG is crazy in 1st the whole car seems like it will shake off interior pieces? I know there is a break in period but any idea how long?

    What is the best advice you can give someone building an ST. I have no issues with mine besides having almost no interest in continuing to build it. Why did you choose a Focus St?

      Honestly, right when I got behind the wheel of mine when I first test drove it I fell in love with the way it drove. The steering is super sharp and the power possibilities make this car so much fun to beat on.

      As far as advice, just do whatever pleases your wants and preferences when it comes to power and the way the car drives. Just make sure to remember that you get what you pay for.

    Hey, I'm looking to upgrade my turbo on the ST here soon. How would you say the reliablity is on stock internals? I may have missed it, but why did you build your engine? Did the stock one blow? Or just wanted a built engine?

    • @tbr.performance
      @tbr.performance  4 роки тому +1

      ajval98
      I just wanted to build one! I built it on the side while I went to the track on the stock engine with the big turbo. Honestly, if you go big turbo and aux fuel with around 400 hp, don’t expect the engine to live a long healthy life. At 85k my rings were not happy lol

      It all really depends on the power level you want to run and the tuner and how well you maintain the car.
