Isabelle giving actual news was the highlight of my day today
I invited Cap'n's wife to the Cafe and she brought her whole family. It was so cute. The Cap's daughter doesn't drink coffee she eats cookies.

I love the drawing of Kapp’n that his daughter drew of him that he keeps and proudly displays on his boat. Such a cute detail.
Kapp'n took me to a star fragment island today. They were on the beach, in the rocks, there was a related DIY in a bottle, and there was a meteor shower. I was wishing on shooting stars at 9.30 AM.
My favorite thing that I realized was that you can take the vines off the cliffs and put them on your own island!! Not sure if they showed this in the trailer, but it was so exciting to find
They did. A player grabbed some.
Isabelle always said if there was a chance of meteor showers but I'm happy she now tells you when you have visitors
Kapp'n Mystery Tours are not the only way to find Gyroids. You can also find them burried on your own island after it rains

I'm glad they increased the home storage substantially and added the storage shed item, for some time I was dropping items all over the place on my island, because I couldn't fit them in my current home storage to look at as a whole and I couldn't tell what they were due to variants existing and if I wanted to keep it. I picked up around 1000 drop items from my island and my overflowing mailbox combined. Needless to say I kept my airport gates closed off to visitors during that time.
I have 3 accounts/houses extra for storage :-) Yes I'm a hoarder :-)
You can carry it around on you and always have access to your storage, on your island anyway.

Something I found out that I don't know how many people know: if you give chocolates from Happy Home Paradise to your villagers, they will follow you to the new island when you're on your way to work.
That is the only way to invite your Villagers to build them a home, not counting Amiibo. They stay for like a day so you can build them a house. Getting them to the island for that is super fun.

I like that Leif has his little cart that he brings to your island all closed up behind his trailer when you visit him on Harv’s island.

1:18 You can also find them on the Mystery Islands that Kapp'n takes you to as well! That's how I got mine, they look great in my woodland areas. Being able to store DIY's is great and a welcome change, though I wish we could store trees/bushes/plants. I like decorating with flowers to match holiday seasons (Orange/black flowers for Halloween, White/Red for Christmas etc.) but don't want to have to keep breeding/selling the extras. D:
Mr. Resseti can appear randomly in The Roost, or you can summon him with his Brother's amiibo!
I find it funny that, among my friends, I was the only one that visited Harv’s Plaza. I had to tell them all about it, and they flipped out (with excitement, of course). They thought it was just some new photo options or something and blew off his letter.
kapp’n also has a hand drawn portrait of him made by (assumably) leila on the other side of the boat. you can see it most easily when traveling to one of the new mystery islands on his boat. very cute
My villager, Ken, asked me to go to his house. So I did, and he spend the time talking about his fancy furniture. I then took some fancy first person photos of me and him. Seems like the first person camera is 360° inside buildings which is neat.

Once you complete the main quest in HHP you can reorganize villager homes by paying Tom Nook 9000 bells, you can do all of them at once, no more waiting a day to do one house like you do with house moving.

@@floofyishi9476 Okay so, have you ever moved one of your villagers houses in ACNH? If you have, you'd know you have to talk to Tom Nook in resident services and have him ask the villager if they can move their house, the villager will agree and Tom will give the player a set to place down where the house will be built the next day. Only one villager home can be moved in a day. However, once finishing HHP, you can redesign all the villagers homes in the same way you move them, by asking Tom and having him ask them if you can redesign their homes, unlike the house moving projects however, you can redesign as many villager houses you want in one night.

if you have amiibos of villagers who lived on your island in the past, they remember living there! Also, the donation box only allows you to donate 1000 bells at a time.
Buying turnips from daisy mae unlocks a turnip recipe.
I like that we are discovering these things on our own. It’s more exciting that way. I don’t need Nintendo telling us everything.

That's the same in real life I think. I'm pretty sure water at Cafes is free though I imagine that they don't like it if you just drink water and don't buy any food. If the Roost was a proper cafe it would sell food.
One of my sisters whom played this game since it was new then, she re-shaped her house to the parallel style with this 2.0 update. And this HAPPY HOME PARADISE DLC and other cool new features has made this game twice as popular and more mainstream than ever.
Also you can have a conversation with Resetti if you have his amiibo and scan it in at the roost
He also can turn up randomly, he appeared in my cafe yesterday!
I wish you could put flowers in the storage, and I also wish you could choose a quantity for crafting and eating instead of having to do it one at a time.
I have actually found a bug in the update:
When a villager asks you to visit their house, they won't let you leave... like, AT ALL!
The villager will just say you just got there even tho I have been there for 10-15 min. I have stuff to do other than visiting someone, I literally had to force restart my game in order to stop the visit!!!
I feel like the reason is because they want you to buy something from their house or something, and I don't want to buy something unless I find something to buy. There was nothing inside the villager house I was at I was willing to buy.

I had the same glitch happen to me with Molly. Had to quit the game and restart it.
I have over 70 spare DIYs. The ability to store them is a godsend.
KK Slider will join in on the stretch you initiate on your town square. And he will make mistakes.
If you buy a lot of coffee Brewster will give you cooking recipies. Ps you can buy multiple coffee a day from the roost you couldn't in new leaf

The shops on the Co-op on Harv's Island don't update their inventory daily. I'm not sure what the exact cycle is. My guess is once a week starting on Mondays. I have started a mini farm on my island. So far, I have pumpkins, potatoes, wheat, and sugar cane. I still need carrots and tomatoes. This makes a bit frustrating with Leif's Co-op since the inventory won't change for a while.
Once a week, however after buying from Redd he replaced the art I bought the next day. I have some footage of that so that caught me off guard.

Glowing moss (and vines) can also sometimes be found on random islands via Kapp'ns tours -- you don't need to have purchased the Happy Homes DLC.
The fact that are even 21 things that you CAN miss in an update like this is pretty impressive
The new DIY is nice! Just picked one up today that uses vines. So not only are they good for free ladder services, they make nifty decor.

Apparently if you get bad luck from Katrina, and buy her bad luck remedy, she'll give you a special Katrina item in the mail I believe.
Still the number 1 issue of New Horizons, is there's next to nothing to do with friends after you've explored each other's islands. I'd forgive the more repetitive villager dialogue/shallow characteristics. And the overall less areas than New Leaf. If there was just the multiplayer minigames

Putting stuff in storage is a lot easier with a portable storage shed. Not only do you not to go inside your home to do it. You can store things faster:
Before in your home, you click an item then press "Put in Storage". Now with portable storage shed: You can click all the multiple items at once.
Time saver! Wish this feature was updated with home storage too.
I’m trying to get back into the game after months of being away, but I honestly felt so overwhelmed by the update felt I needed to do some research first 😅

If you get 1 of something, and then go get Reese to customize it, that varient will be available for you to purchase. No more trading for variants, you only need 1, to get all.

If you go to the restaurant in hhp everyday you can get food recipe to who ever you assign as the chef.

I believe Alex’s is actually Stolney. So I presume Jon’s is Eventide then!

When Redd is on Harvey's Island, he offers two pieces of art (and again they are fake) and you can also try a dip into the lottery box for 500 bells. I did it once and came out with a lemon ice tea can.
I had one real and one fake every day.

The update just doesn't work much for me cant get brewster and capn isn't on the docks and harvs Island hasn't changed either or cook/make food and nothing online helps because my museum is fully built and upgraded and I have plenty of each exhibit so confused
Does the game version show 2.0 on the Game start screen? Also how many stars does your Island have? I think you may need 5 stars. Also check the Nook Miles store for new recipes and building instructions

Press + when highlighting new horizons then click Software Update. Make sure you’ve installed the update.
For Brewster you have to donate 1 of everything (fish, bug, fossil, art, deep sea creature)

There has always been 2 that I am aware of, one in the morning and 1 sometime later in the day, if I remember right as it’s been months since I’ve played but it’s the same for the crafting villager 1 villager in the morning then later in the day it changes to a different villager.
Just so I understand whether it’s worth the price tag. Is everything in here for the new additional content to purchase?

Why can we slightly turn the camera in first Person mode in the fossil area but not the others?
Probably Nintendo knew you could get a better view and angle there whereas it's not needed in the rest of the game in their eyes.
Because they already modelled those angles before the update. The areas you can’t see in NH aren’t modelled so for eg if you were to use a mod for 360 camera control, you’d see a black void when facing south.
Can you invite a villager from happy home paradise to your island because I just got zucker and I want him on my island.
Looks like a no on that sadly. You would need an Amiibo of him good RNG or if you feel like mild cheating you could always get a PowerSaves for Amiibo and a few PowerTags.

You've always been able to sell duplicate DIY recipes. Why the need to store them?
Maybe bc you wanna give them to someone later but don't want them to take up space in your inventory
They sell for much more on Nookazon and I have a DIY Swap area on my island.
