No, I would say the opposite - DO look at the piano to see the different shapes and patterns. When you know them, sure, you'll be able to play without looking, but that will be a by-product of learning them well and needn't be the end goal.
Hello! Thank you so much for posting these, I don’t have the grade 7 books yet so but I wanted to get started on practicing so I have been looking through the syllabus for what to play, but this is so much simpler to understand. Just a quick question - I am assuming so, but does this video include all of the scales/arpeggios needed for the trinity grade 7 exam, and is it still valid in 2021 - 2023? (I have crossed checked this with the 2021~2023 syllabus and there doesn’t seem to be any differences, but just to be sure.) Again, thank you taking the time and effort to make this! Your help is greatly appreciated :)
Yes, as far as I am aware these technical requirements are the same for the 2021-2023 syllabus. Good to cross reference with the syllabus as you've done. Best wishes for your G7 study.
I am starting grade 7 this week and Your videos are helpful. Thanks, sir!

@frostythefrog6154 what's the dominant note in the key of A-flat?
Is this the right speed at which we are supposed to play the scales and arpeggios?
Yes.
Good job sir useful for me
Great feedback - thanks so much. Bye for now.
How to practice arpeggios? I am really bad at these. In general, should arpeggios be practised without seeing the piano?
No, I would say the opposite - DO look at the piano to see the different shapes and patterns. When you know them, sure, you'll be able to play without looking, but that will be a by-product of learning them well and needn't be the end goal.
@@JulianLambert thanks..much appreciated!!
