Hi all when we were over there in Lockaline which is over in the west of Scotland the midge’s were so bad it was like a fog , they got up our nose in our ears and eyes mouth so going out you cover up and you ran to where you wanted to go . The midge’s drove the actors from Harry Potters from up near Fort William down to York so you were luck you only got a few midges , we enjoy your travels stay safe , cheers John c (nz)

Love Aviemore. We have been going every December or January since 2004. Stopped at both Glenmore and Rothimurcus Campsites (both great) but now stay in Nethy Bridge. You have me wishing the year away now until our next visit in January 2025. The views from the top of the mountain when its snowing are fabulous.

Enjoy a breath-taking trip on Scotland's only funicular railway, the highest in the UK reaching the Ptarmigan building at over 1,097m above sea level.Also the highest restaurant in the UK.
Unfortunately it’s out of action whilst they do some track repairs
