I was just getting ready to post something similar. He made KC much better, including one of the best games I remember going against John Elway and Denver in a back and forth game. I think we made it to the AFC finals, which is better then all but 3 other teams so we'll take that every time.
Interesting. I'm an Eagles fan but I would think either the years of Trent Green or Alex Smith were better than the two years of Montana. Could be wrong. I just think those 3 guys are underrated
Trent Green had Priest Holmes and an amazing offensive line. Alex Smith had plenty of offensive weapons. Montana had an aging Marcus Allen and went to the AFC Championship Game. Neither Green nor Smith won a playoff game.
I dont know bro i can see because it was the playoffs but i dont know about that never heard either way other then here say so i dont get it destroyed his career
The Redskins gave up a 1st round pick for TJ Duckett and to me that was much worse than what they traded for RGIII who played great up until his injury. The Trade was not bad the injury was.
I wish he would have taken a cut so we could get Dalvin back but the NFL is a business ig. Nonetheless he’s still a good player and hope he has a year like last one :)
Chiefs trade for Montana was a success for the team. They almost got to the Super Bowl his first year and he brought legitimacy to the franchise, and helped kick start the regular season dominance for the rest of the decade. They didn't win in the post season for the rest of the decade after he left, but that was a successful trade for the Chiefs. A bad trade would be moving up to draft Ryan Sims.
Leonard Williams played pretty well, you missed on this one. Yeah draft pick was kinda high but they got a good player. Not sure if they traded up for DeAndre Baker in the first round. That was a major failure.
Giants Leonard Williams one wasnt a bad trade he had like 12 sacks last season lmao maybe at the time it was a bad trade but looking back on it, it wasnt

I just knew my Eagles’ entry would be McCoy for Alonso… McCoy had won the 2013 rushing title, Alonso was and remained a dirty player (see his hit on Joe Flacco in 2017), and of course firing Kelly at the end of that season couldn’t undo it.
While it is easy to say that Brett Favre needed a different environment or set of coaches to bring out his potential, it did not help that Falcons' HC Jerry Glanville did what he could to push Brett out the door. Jerry did not like that the GM chose Favre in the draft.
Montana got the Chiefs to the AFC Championship. Don't know how you can put that here. And Leonard Williams was dope last season. Some questionable picks here.
The Packers' entry should have been the John Hadl trade. Shipping out Buckley may have been a mistake, but no way is that worse than trading away *five* draft picks (including two first-rounders) for a past-his-prime QB.
The worst part about that Culpepper to Miami trade was the fact that a lil known QB named Drew Brees wanted to go to Miami via free agency that same year but Miami traded for Culpepper instead
The thing that pissed me off about Boller is that he would suck through three quarters of a season, and then when he realized his job was on the line, excelled just enough to start the next year.
For Dolphins trade, don’t forget that the Dolphins could have signed Drew Brees and traded for Culpepper instead, causing Drew Brees to sign with New Orleans and Nick Saban to leave for Alabama the next season
The Steelers do not regret giving up on Santonio Holmes. They got th Antonio Brown pick in return, which for the time being was compensation enough. Then when AB was done they traded him for Diontae Johnson, who is good, but still has things to prove.
They got Antonio Brown and Bryant McFadden lol. And they had Mike Wallace and also drafted Sanders. They had so much talent they couldn't keep it all. Threw pro bowl wide receivers.
Honestly if Santonio Holmes was our worst trade then I’m pretty confident that we actually don’t do terrible trades. Holmes unfortunately never lived up to his full potential and was out of NY after 4 seasons; 12 games played in 2010, fully healthy in 2011, 4 games played in 2012, 11 games played in 2013. That “terrible” trade was actually a successful one as we had traded that pick to the Cardinals in exchange for their 6th round pick who eventually turned out to be Antonio Brown.
Your favorite asshole team should've never traded to begin with. Dude literally was becoming the number 1 receiver on the team but said team gets rid of him because of a bag of weed, Holmes was living up to his potential in Pittsburgh before they got rid of him. Smh.
@Christopher Bingham preseason isn't meaningless. Teams still try to win and the players are still giving their all because they're trying to get a roster spot.
@Christopher Bingham what does an 0-16 team have to do with a team who did bad in preseason but had a winning record, made the post season or even won a Super Bowl?
@Christopher Bingham its not meaningless for the new coaches who want to see how their offence or defense will be before the regular season. And not for the rookies and practice squad people who fight for a spot and can be impact players. A team could have a pro bowler on practice squad and not know it unless they have preseason to show it.
Moss gave 50% effort while a Raider, 100% effort while a Patriot. You can't hold that against the team. Says more about Moss and his terrible attitude.
Disagree with Montana to the Chiefs. He got us to the AFC championship game. NFL trades are usually such few and far between. Can't think of a worse one off hand
Trading for a draft pick which ends up being a good player is not a bad trade. That is just good drafting by the other team. Same goes is you draft a bad players with a pick you get. That is poor drafting, and not a bad trade.
Shallow research. Holmes would’ve been released for not fitting into team culture and they were happy to get anything for him. The pick they got helped land Antonio Brown. Not even close to being considered the worst trade ever for the Steelers.
Bettis absolutely blew in 95 starting with his holdout and continued a downhill trajectory from his rookie season to that point. In the end it worked out for the STL Rams who shortly after stole Marshall Faulk from the colts to form the GSOT.
Are you really blaming Atlanta for trading Favre when he didn't even get to prove himself yet at the time? Okay, then blame the Texans for trading away Wyatt Teller.
John Hadl was the worst Green Bay Packer trade. In 1974, the 34-year-old Hadl was traded by the Los Angeles Rams to the Green Bay Packers for five draft picks-first and second round picks for 1975 and 1976, as well as a third round pick in 1975. Hadl was very good with the Chargers and the Rams...by the time he got to Green Bay, his best days were behind him. Hadl went 4-9 in 1975. The Packers were horrible until the 90s. The Rams were very solid in the late 70s thanks to Green Bay.
And to think of the Randy Moss trade to Oakland for a 1st round pick wasted on Troy Williamson; that alone should have made this list except for this stinker. Thanks, Red.
Bills also traded away Marcel Dareus for a draft pick in that same week. They proceeded to have a 3 game losing streak where they gave up 600 yards on the ground. It would've cost them a playoff spot had the Chargers not started the season so poorly and if the Ravens didn't crap their pants against the Bengals...
Did a 15 year old compile this list- football did exist before 1995. There are some serious reaches for what constitutes a "bad" trade. Nobody would call the Joe Montana trade bad, he took a mediocre Chiefs team to the AFC Title Game and the playoffs both years. Santonio Holmes averaged 30 rec.and 440 yards in the 5 years after the Steelers traded him, how is Pittsburgh dumping him a BAD trade- he wasnt productive after the trade. I dont think anybody would say the Leonard Williams trade was bad either..... I could go on, but my points made.
DeAndre Hopkins is the worst trade ever because their team fell apart. Seeing him beat 3 defenders for a jump ball last year proved how insane his talent really is. DH is simply someone you don't trade and since they did, it's my pick for the worst trade in the NFL.
The Jets hands down worst trade is for Darnold. Not because of Sam himself but the incredible ineptitude the Jets showed as they didn't assemble a team around him. The Colts only got an All-Pro Guard and a nice return in 2 additional 3rds for the trouble. Sam was then shipped out less than 3 years later for a way lesser talent because Jets, and the return was woefully worse with a 2nd 4th and 6th. Jets gotta Jet
7:01 isn't making the Superbowl the point of every trade? To get players that will help lead you there? That was terrible choice, just like choosing Leonard Williams for the Giants
No. There's plenty of trades made just to be better or to off load a contract or player. There's plenty of trades teams make where they know there's no way they're making a SB.
Kansas City worst trade was sending Curly Culp and a#1 pick to Houston for John Matuzsak. Houston used the #1 pick on Robert Brazile and Culp is in the HOF.
The colts worst trade was the Elway trade. All they got in return was a backup QB, a good lineman, and a #1 pick. If the would have held out they could have gotten much more. Of course they probably would have screwed up on the draft picks.
The Steelers had Mike Wallace and they traded the pick for Santonio Holmes and that pick was used to draft *ANTONIO BROWN* and they reacquired Bryant McFadden. They also drafted Emmanuel Sanders in 2010 after trading Holmes.
I don’t see how getting joe Montana for one first round pick is a bad trade… we had him two years.. third year he lost his job and was hurt.. we got to the afc championship with him.
@@S_Over_Street but the issue is he was hurt in the bills game.. that’s why he retired.. but I don’t see that as a bad trade.. we got to the afc championship we just didn’t have a good team around him.. beating Steelers at home then going to oilers and beating them
I think the point their making with the Williams trade is a criticism of the timing, not the player. Giving up substantial assets before the deadline added nothing at all to their season, and they could've just as easily pursued him in free agency at much much lower cost
How about a tiny bit of research? The Steelers traded Holmes, who was going to be suspended 4 games, and got Bryant McFadden back PLUS the pick that got them ANTONIO BROWN!!! That was a GREAT trade.
If Trubisky is the worst you can find for the Bears, it's not that bad.29-21 record,64-38 TDs/ interceptions. Not bad.I know that Fields certainly doesn't look like the answer
Revis had the best corner season I've ever seen... however he is a d-bag. I'm a browns fan and my favorite player is frank minnifield... who is a cornerback
The Redskins trade for TJ Duckett was worse than any trade for RG3. RG3 was great until he got injured. While it may not have worked out for the Redskins due to the injury I wouldn't let an injury be the reason to consider a trade bad. A Player low on talent would be a reason for that and TJ Duckett did not have the talent to be worthy of a 1st round pick.
If Cal QB Joe Roth didn't die in Feb. 1977, the second pick would have been traded to a team that wanted him, not Dorsett. As a result, Tony would have probably went to Cincy with the third pick or the Jets with the fourth pick.
As a Washington fan, I think is a very underrated player my father quit playing him twice a year ago that day in my past okay I am keeping my bad knee injury and he got hurt and it got worse He helped KC to the AFC Championship for the first time since their Super Bowl 59 4th run. Every NFL team with a record that will never be broken flop in Washington. They screwed him by making him play with a very bad knee injury and he got hurt and it got worse They almost got to the Super Bowl his first year and he brought legitimacy to the franchise, and helped kickstart the regular season dominance for the rest of the decade. They didn't win in the postseason for the rest of the decade after he left, but that was a successful I am sad so like my dad's lifestyle backstory okay can tell somebody loves me in my family wait to see I was hiding about okay I want to trade replace really is I hope is missing and I can talk about okay let me know to help me fix it okay help me out here????????!!!!!!!!!!!
Giants fans defending the Leo trade like the Jets didnt watch him have a pro bowl career year one time and then barely do anything else his entire time there. He balled out in a contract year, so did Mo Wilkerson. And plenty others. Let’s hold off until we see if he capitalizes on that year now that’s hes gotten paid. Leo is infamous for making you believe he can put it all together and be a stud, then you forget he’s on the field.
Pats: Brady or Gronk? Let's see... Trading the best and most dominated TE in the NFL history to the Lions and making him retire and losing this players for nothing in return. That was the worst trade (attempt). Not some 36 overall...Gronk is a goddamn HOF-player who had (and has) a huge impact on the game. Brady was not a trade but could be added here as abysmally bad front office decisions.
I think actually the Seahawks Worst trade trading frank "the shark" Clark to the chiefs for draft pick which end up L.J collier because frank Clark help Kansas city chiefs help the chiefs win first super bowl in 5 decades while L.J collier as been injuried and hasn't put the stats that frank Clark did.
Seriously? Clark's last 2 seasons were worse than the previous 3 in Seattle and he might not even see the field in 2021 if he ends up on the commissioner's exempt list due to his felony charge. It took a year, but they found a comparable replacement and smaller cap hit in Dunlap. This trade could be a lose/lose for both sides, but Seattle isn't giving $43m in guarantees to a DE that's averaging 7 sacks a season and off the field issues.
If you want to look at a bad trade for the Seahawks, look at what they gave up for Percy Harvin. 3 picks, including a 1st, for a guy that got 26 targets over 5 games in 2 years. Within two years of dealing him to the Jets (for a ham sandwich), he was out of the league.
Alright the RG3 selection wasn’t a bad draft trade. He was great but because the Redskins had a terrible O-Line, RG3 got destroyed. Then during his recovery, they didn’t effectively bolster the O-Line or get much talent around him so RG3 was still forced to play at an elite talent while still injured. So of course he’s not going to reflect the trade value to get him.
Let's be fair about what happened to RGIII. He was playing with an injured knee in a playoff game, when he should have been on the sidelines. Mike Shanahan should have known better. Griffin got hurt even more seriously and was never the same player. This is on the coach and the team, not on the player being at fault for getting injured. And as far as "maybe he wanted to play", that is why the coach is there- to look at the situation and do what is best for the long term interests of the team, not just at winning a playoff game.
HOUSTON WE GOT A PROBLEM!?!?? 💀🤣💀🤣💀

Leo williams showed out for the giants he’s the staple of that d-line worth the trade

There's plenty of trades teams make where they know there's no way they're making a SB.

who's here after he has a Super Bowl win
Leonard Williams is Giants worst trade? Wtf? He had 10+ sacks this year.
Kansas City worst trade was sending Curly Culp and a#1 pick to Houston for John Matuzsak. Houston used the #1 pick on Robert Brazile and Culp is in the HOF.
Leanord williams is a great player for the giants he had 11 sacks last season
The colts worst trade was the Elway trade. All they got in return was a backup QB, a good lineman, and a #1 pick. If the would have held out they could have gotten much more. Of course they probably would have screwed up on the draft picks.
The Steelers had Mike Wallace and they traded the pick for Santonio Holmes and that pick was used to draft *ANTONIO BROWN* and they reacquired Bryant McFadden. They also drafted Emmanuel Sanders in 2010 after trading Holmes.
Green Bay worst trade was trading for John Hadl. That trade set them back years and they wouldn't start winning until the 90's.
I don’t see how getting joe Montana for one first round pick is a bad trade… we had him two years.. third year he lost his job and was hurt..
we got to the afc championship with him.
Montana decided to retire right after the 1994 season. He wasn’t benched at all.
@@S_Over_Street but the issue is he was hurt in the bills game.. that’s why he retired.. but I don’t see that as a bad trade.. we got to the afc championship we just didn’t have a good team around him.. beating Steelers at home then going to oilers and beating them
The raider one should have been Antonio brown he didn't even play a snap randy at least played
9:11 that should be the Jimmy G trade to niners lol
You just gonna forget Leonard Williams season this year?
I think the point their making with the Williams trade is a criticism of the timing, not the player. Giving up substantial assets before the deadline added nothing at all to their season, and they could've just as easily pursued him in free agency at much much lower cost
How about a tiny bit of research? The Steelers traded Holmes, who was going to be suspended 4 games, and got Bryant McFadden back PLUS the pick that got them ANTONIO BROWN!!! That was a GREAT trade.
Ya the falcons one wasn’t good but if we didn’t trade him we probably never would’ve got Matt Ryan so it’s all good
If Trubisky is the worst you can find for the Bears, it's not that bad.29-21 record,64-38 TDs/ interceptions. Not bad.I know that Fields certainly doesn't look like the answer
Why is everyone dissing Trubisky he actually did pretty well
Day 18 of asking top 10 trades of the last decade
The Leonard Williams trade was a good one for the Giants. He had 11.5 sacks last year…
Revis had the best corner season I've ever seen... however he is a d-bag. I'm a browns fan and my favorite player is frank minnifield... who is a cornerback
What's Good TPS???
Play football for 2021 and stop attacking 20 Years Ago!!!
Here is a good idea that is similar video you made on October 15, 2019: 10 NFL Players That Might Get Sweet Revenge On Their Former Teams This Season.
If Cal QB Joe Roth didn't die in Feb. 1977, the second pick would have been traded to a team that wanted him, not Dorsett. As a result, Tony would have probably went to Cincy with the third pick or the Jets with the fourth pick.
Vikings: getting rid of Randy Moss
You guys should do the every teams best trade
Naw... Washington worst deal was Albert Haynesworth
4:49 That doesn't look right 😄
the eagles had a lot of bad trades, we traded Jackson, and Foles when he was in his primetime for Sam Bradford
The Herschel Walker trade is not just the worst trade in Vikings history - it is VERY likely the worst trade in the history of professional sports.
Day 28: top 10 best/worst QB's taken between rounds 2-5
As a Falcons fan the Vick trade was probally worse than the favre. Don't get me wrong VIck was dominant. But not as dominant as Bresus and LT
