I just wanted to say that the way you speak and the way you use the journals/planners is what I consider goals. You seem to have been through a lot, and it shows in your profound views of the small things.
Thank you for being vulnerable with this one and also showing us your "not perfect" spreads. I really appreciated it and thank you so much for that.
Keep doing what you are doing, I think your channel really deserves so much more subscribers already.

Great video! My mental health is one of the reasons that I don't use a dated (daily) planner anymore, as I absolutely can't stand blank pages but I don't mind if I skipped some days but have no white space because I can just write again after the last day I wrote. I'm introducing daily graditute in 2024, to try and appreciate the little things. But I've also decided that if I have no gratitude for a day, I can also just use a washi tape or nice stickers on that day since that makes me happy too :)

This was a fantastic video. Thank you for being vulnerable. Your specific tips for the tough days, or a focus on mental health are wonderful. I think a lot of us come to the planning world because we are seeking a way to manage overwhelm, and the idea of learning how to "plan" perfectly to defeat overwhelm is a fallacy in my book. I actually walked away from my planner/journal after the new year because I found it was bringing me more anxiety. However, I figured out it is not the planning/journaling that bring me anxiety, but it was my idea that it had to be done everyday to a specific fidelity. FALSE! I came back to it with fresh eyes and now no longer get upset or anxious about blank pages or missed weeks. I am grateful for your videos.

I’m speechless! After watching so many planner and journaling videos over the years I found yours and it fits ME!!! Love love love the GLAD method and the way you demonstrated what to do on “bad” days. Love how you taught that it’s ok to have a blank page and that blank pages can speak for themselves. Please keep your video coming. ❤

Subscribed. I plan/journal for my mental health with the goal of living a joyful and giving life of retirement. Thank you for your sensitivity and obviously vulnerable for you message for the rest of us. I struggle with feeling joy after working in a career not suited to me even with my accomplishments. I want my journaling to be meaningful as I progress in redefining what productivity is to me and reconnecting to my real passions in my life. You've given me some very good techniques to help me as I progress. I can see where it can help in self-awareness and learning lessons about myself. I am grateful you are here!

I'm wandering into Journaling as a fresh newbie after realizing I crave the tactile activity to calm myself, and needed to get out of my head for the sake of my own mental health. What I find gives me anxiety is the feeling that I have to know what I'm doing, exactly how to lay out every day, and stick to that. The truth is, I can change my layouts as need to, depending on my needs, or as I learn what is important to track, how, and where. I believe this fits in your "embrace imperfection" - every day is a day for growth and change, and that's OK!

Good stuff, thank you ❤. Some people that talk about journaling for mental health - you can just tell it’s just a title for clicks. This felt genuine and I thank you for sharing. I remember one time sharing that at one point all I could write was #keepwriting. The hashtag made it seem lighter and cuter than it really was. Again, thank you for sharing.

I got a day-free planner because I found that if I had a stretch of days where I was down or I just didn't have time to journal, it would stress me out/make me feel like I was wasting the book. Filling in the days as I see fit (or missing a few here and there) took a lot of that pressure away and allowed me to fill the book without the awkward empty sections. This also felt like I could have short entries if I didn't have much to say on a particular day, so I could have a couple days in one page or half entry, half decoration. Now and then, I'll use a page as a therapeutic 'decorating page' where it's just cute stickers or items in a collage. I think a lot of the things you talked about in the video would be perfect to mix in

Thank you so much for this video! I really appreciate your addressing the fact that many of us go through difficult times during which mainstream productivity methods become a burden, or even toxic to out mental health. I liked getting a new angle on methods of my own similar to yours, and of course I came away with new ideas too. So thanks for all of that, and for your vulnerability in addressing this topic to begin with!

New Sub! I loved this video. I had quit planning actually. I just needed to step away from all of it. And I have still been journaling because I need to and I love it. I like planning. But it can get overwhelming at times so I had been using just a monthly wall calendar for the past four months. N I wasn't getting things done in my home. Because planning helps me remember. I have PTSD and GAD. This video was sooo incredible helpful. Thank you.
