A tip to early game/ mid game wardancer when you can't have this build yet, you can put the bleeding rune (preferably purple+) in energy combustion, it gives out very decent damage because the bleeding will keep ticking as long as you keep hitting the circle on the enemy.
Great video and very informative as always. Looks like the red glow of energy combustion before exploding is something we don't have at global yet. Unless I suddenly turned color blind. Looking forward to that.

This is the most helpful Lost Ark video I've ever seen, especially as a new player who loves my wardancer but feels that I'm nowhere near as 'OP' as people make the class out to sound. Seems like it'll be a long road to get my wardancer there, but I feel way more prepared to tackle it now. Thank you so much for your detailed videos! Would love to see a video that summarizes cheap/easy classes to build and feel good playing + what they need most (engravings vs. runes vs. ???), especially any that feel like they come online in T1-T2. All of the info available seems to be about how classes are powerful or feel good to play at end T3, but most of us aren't there yet.
Yeah, Wardancer before Fourteen sth ilvl plays (from my limited experience) indeed like a wet noodle.^^ - I feel that Deathblade actually provides some of the best balance, throughout the full game: She obv gets stronger (and possible MVP material, with high player skill) at high levels, but already gives at least feel-good vibes early. Compared to mow-down-everything-then-fall-down-cliff, like it is probably (as Korea seems to suggest) the case with Berserker. I would say, for Blade: A tier for endgame, clearly way below the "big 3", Gunlancer, and supports, and likely some others. Somewhat at the higher end of expensiveness (but likely cheaper than some; e.g. Gunslinger, who needs great Tripods) . Moderate actual skill requirement, but with quite a high possible ceiling. And, as mentioned, some of the best class balance in the game: Probably (unless you are exceptional) never too great, except for dedicated PvP, but also never truly terrible, including "true endgame". The 3 defining factors for quality for the gear are: Tripods, and, from jewelry and ability stones, stats (like Swiftness or Specialty) , and engravings. - Runes are what you hopefully pick up somewhere along the way; they are not tradable.
The QoL change to make EC turn red when it’s about to expire isn’t on NA. A nice little addition that will help me in those situations where I lose track of time remaining during hectic moments.
I was a tad baffled by this that I had been doing something wrong, only to find out that it just isn't in NA yet. LOL thanks for the additional confirmation that I haven't gone crazy
damn wardancer looks pretty crazy, I hope that Striker is next so I can play both videos together to compare and contrast the two classes. Keep up the amazing work ATK.
I've played both on the RU server prior to the EU release and the real difference is in the endgame ,with striker being more selfish- focusing more on slow burst dmg rather than consistent dps without any real party buffs except for one foe crit debuff. WD is generally played faster and has higher dps alongside its many party buffs.
This is one of the best guides for a Wardancer I've ever seen; before watching this I was considering turning her into an alt even though I have loads of fun playing her but now she doesn't feel so gimped anymore so she's still my main, thank you!

Okay I'm 1360 WD and this video is extremely helpful. I've realized that getting enough esoteric bubbles is vastly more important than 1 or 2 tripod dps skills. I'm gonna play around with my tripods and use more esoteric generation tripods over damage tripods. At the end of the day, more frequent rotations of skills does more dps than a few damage tripods. Great video for beginners and ppl maining the class! I learned a lot! :D
As a war dancer main I felt weak asf and like a massive hold back in literally anything co-op. After watching this I followed the build but made my own tweaks and honestly have been loving it so much. Definitely feel a lot stronger to say the least and when I tested it in training at 1415 I’m able to dish out 5mil damage in one cycle of my skills ( dunno if that’s a lot for 1415 but yeah) I use 2 esoteric skills and am able to do max build up fairly quick. Yeah I definitely wish I could thank you because I genuinely loved this class in beta and wanted to use her but after reaching guardian raids I felt like I wasn’t offering much. Thanks again🤍🤍🤍
Appreciate these vids, lot of the guides floating around just say what to do but don't really give much of the thought process behind what you're using and why. I started out wardancer but ended up swapping to scrapper because it feels horrible right now to play. I could see myself main swapping back to it in the future when I can realistically get the character to this point where it feels good. Have a soulfist as well and similarly it feels horrific to play right now but I'm betting I'll enjoy it a lot more in late game.
I'm impressed with your guides seem to keep getting better. Please please continue teaching us how to understand the class instead of just how to play it.

LET FUCKING GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Wardancer OP My Brain is blown, I am running 1st intention right now but I didn't realized the value of keen blunt due to all the crit rate synergies. The timing of the last hit on energy combustion with the synergy was something that I never thought of. That is a ton of extra DPS being left on the table.
A huge tip for Esoteric Wardancers! Winds Whisper is better with Quick Prep tripod when it's at least level 4! This lines up the cooldown exactly with Wind God + Blast Formation. This becomes evident in Loawa's player statistics where 67% of Wardancers in mid/late T3 are running Quick Prep. If you don't have level 4 Quick Prep then use Wind's Whisper tripod. This lets you burst 33% more often and is thus a dps increase over time compared to getting 15% more crit chance per usage.
I'm one of the 2.4% of players that has a Wardancer on NA West, but I'm also one of the few in that population that chose to play Esoteric lololol. Shes definitely feels weak and I'm almost never MVP even if I play perfectly, but at the same time she still feels useful because of her party buffs. Plus the burst window is so frantic satisfying with the tornado and big explosions lol, but very hard to land if the boss has a small hitbox :( She's super fun though. Glad I picked her :D
Im with you, once i through a bleed rune on and went with a 2 esoteric skills instead of 1 like most guides said i started getting mvps. I only have 280 skill points too
@@brice9013 Double spender is for sure the way to go but it's stupid hard to play compared to other classes. Low mobility, many animation locks, strict burst windows, git gud or get smeared across the floor lol.
this video only applies to KR version as EU/NA do not have the same tripods. For instance Wind's whisper, we don't have the crit tripod as specified 1.01 time stamp, which makes a huge impact on the build

Interesting, I think this explains why it feels a bit weird playing this class right now. I feel like I'm doing well but my DPS is just not quite there compared to other classes I've tried. I guess I have to be patient and wait until I'm well geared for it to pay off.
I’m a 1413 wardancer engravings lvl 1 eso lvl 3 grudge lvl 3 cursed doll lvl 3 adrenaline lvl 3 keen blunt, and i do 30% less dps than a 1412 artillery and a 1412 sorc. It won’t have the best dps right now but i still love this class and stilling to it all the way. Doesn’t matter if you are the highest dps What matters most is that you love the class you are playing
I'm hoping you will consider remaking some of your older How to guides. You can tell the progression you've made in making videos and this is by far the best one. Hopefully you can remake your old ones in this same format because this was amazing. Thank you
i knew i wasnt crazy when i was starting up esoteric WD. kept thinking to myself "why does it feel like i'm missing something." so far i only have grudge 3 with no class engraving, but at least it still plays the same without it somewhat. (WD is an alt btw)

This is a FANTASTIC guide that really highlights why I felt like my Wardancer was MUCH weaker than my Pally in T1 and T2. You mention that you recommend First Intention over Esoteric for new Wardancers, but I assume you mean "for new Wardancers that are in T3 and already have all the engravings/runes they need unlocked". In my (very limited) experience, Esoteric performs MUCH better than First Intention when you are still lacking cooldown/runes/engravings/skill points. Would you agree, or am I missing something here?

Wardancer feels terrible to play atm. mana problems, cd problems, low dps. I really hate it. I think I'll just park her in T2 untill we get thoe relic accs, it's a shame because she was my first character but my Blade, Gunslinger and Sorc feel so much better to play

Ty a lot for the guide!... as a main wd 1350 ilvl grudge 3 fi 3 and ambush 3, i kinda have a love-hate relationship with it. I really like when the support sincs with my buff and the other dpsand myself take advantage of it, but i really dislike the downtime between burst, basic spam and the fact that a random sorc with 30 less ilvl can easily out-dps me. Its a fun class, but frustrating a lot of the time. Idk, i may as well sit her on 1355 and focus on my demonic or sorc to t3 and "main" those till lancemaster.
It definitely feels so bad to play w/o all the endgame stuff. Her design in general is just terrible and the fact that her power comes mostly from t3 items just shows that she needs some kind of revamp for early tiers or even early t3
Really appreciate this video. My wardancer alt feels the most satisfying to play out of all my characters. She'll probably be promoted to main when valtan comes out. I'm running her with first intention right now since I'm lacking pieces (judgment, gems, tripods). Which would you say is highest priority to start working towards for NA/EU?
Great guide.... but if any F2P player wants to main Wardancer as main... don't. Wardancer in T1 and T2 is a joke and I'm not even exaggerating. If your not going to pay up, you will be stuck in T2 and early T3 for a long time and it ain't gonna be a good experience.
Lol stuck in T2 and early T3? A bit exaggerated innit mate? Sure Tier 1 sucks but it's Tier 1, it doesn't matter in the long run. I'm F2P as well and she's felt hell of a lot better/very smooth since late T2 and even early T3 like 1340 she feels pretty darn good at this point, I'm keeping up with my fellow Slinger friend in terms of damage whilst still providing good buffs to the team. I don't suffer from mana issues unless it's an extremely long drawn out fight (happens on Igxreion but not on actual Abyssals with mech checks), and her cooldowns are fine for me. Yes she feels shit early game but so do many classes feel absolute shiet in Tier 1 and Tier 2, and how important and long is Tier 1 and Tier 2 really?
@@edisonsmathsclub5787 late T2 still sucks for wardancer. Koreans even say wardancer sucks until ilevel 1500+ with certain set that comes from region raid. Im at 200 hour and I just got into t3. It was not an ideal time. If someone is brand new at the game Im not going to recommend a class to the guy saying that it will get better after hundreds of hours. Theres a reason why wardancer is one of the least played class in global

Yup, I feel like I do absolutely trash damage compared to other classes, but I knew what I was getting into. Need proper stats and runes to shine.

i knew i wasnt crazy when i was starting up esoteric WD. kept thinking to myself "why does it feel like i'm missing something." so far i only have grudge 3 with no class engraving, but at least it still plays the same without it somewhat. (WD is an alt btw)

This is a FANTASTIC guide that really highlights why I felt like my Wardancer was MUCH weaker than my Pally in T1 and T2. You mention that you recommend First Intention over Esoteric for new Wardancers, but I assume you mean "for new Wardancers that are in T3 and already have all the engravings/runes they need unlocked". In my (very limited) experience, Esoteric performs MUCH better than First Intention when you are still lacking cooldown/runes/engravings/skill points. Would you agree, or am I missing something here?

Wardancer feels terrible to play atm. mana problems, cd problems, low dps. I really hate it. I think I'll just park her in T2 untill we get thoe relic accs, it's a shame because she was my first character but my Blade, Gunslinger and Sorc feel so much better to play

I did look at the top of the video and didn't see anything, why I figured I'd ask

Ty a lot for the guide!... as a main wd 1350 ilvl grudge 3 fi 3 and ambush 3, i kinda have a love-hate relationship with it. I really like when the support sincs with my buff and the other dpsand myself take advantage of it, but i really dislike the downtime between burst, basic spam and the fact that a random sorc with 30 less ilvl can easily out-dps me. Its a fun class, but frustrating a lot of the time.
Idk, i may as well sit her on 1355 and focus on my demonic or sorc to t3 and "main" those till lancemaster.
It definitely feels so bad to play w/o all the endgame stuff. Her design in general is just terrible and the fact that her power comes mostly from t3 items just shows that she needs some kind of revamp for early tiers or even early t3

@@owtgaming2993 Being balanced for 1% of the population and after 3-4 months of playing the char isn't a well designed balance(in my opinion)

Great guide.... but if any F2P player wants to main Wardancer as main... don't. Wardancer in T1 and T2 is a joke and I'm not even exaggerating. If your not going to pay up, you will be stuck in T2 and early T3 for a long time and it ain't gonna be a good experience.
Lol stuck in T2 and early T3? A bit exaggerated innit mate? Sure Tier 1 sucks but it's Tier 1, it doesn't matter in the long run. I'm F2P as well and she's felt hell of a lot better/very smooth since late T2 and even early T3 like 1340 she feels pretty darn good at this point, I'm keeping up with my fellow Slinger friend in terms of damage whilst still providing good buffs to the team. I don't suffer from mana issues unless it's an extremely long drawn out fight (happens on Igxreion but not on actual Abyssals with mech checks), and her cooldowns are fine for me. Yes she feels shit early game but so do many classes feel absolute shiet in Tier 1 and Tier 2, and how important and long is Tier 1 and Tier 2 really?

@@edisonsmathsclub5787 late T2 still sucks for wardancer. Koreans even say wardancer sucks until ilevel 1500+ with certain set that comes from region raid.
Im at 200 hour and I just got into t3. It was not an ideal time. If someone is brand new at the game Im not going to recommend a class to the guy saying that it will get better after hundreds of hours.
Theres a reason why wardancer is one of the least played class in global

Hello Albert, could you please explain what do you mean at the “Roar of Courage” spell description you say that it provides crit rate because it lower the crit resistance. How those both are mutually connected since resistance is not the same with rate? Thank you. Kind regards from Macedonia!
