after all these years the little rascals steel holds my interest, and pete,& pal was the coolest, that dog reminds me what one family did to there dog "tippy" when we kids .....they painted a circle around his eye
petey is so precious, and cute beautiful animal. his owner must had been sad when he died, i would. if something happened to my dog october, he,s my husband,s little boy.

they were all his off spring too, Pete lived to 16 years old, but you have to figure after 12 years they are pretty worn out, so they retired him like they did with the kids when they started getting to big.
@@oveidasinclair982 Yeah one of his offspring in particular that they settled on, and went on to be the permanent replacement, looked almost exactly like the original Petey but didn't have the ring, so then they did start to use dye to put the ring on to make him look identical to his father.
The original Petey had it around HIS left eye. For a short time they were looking for a replacement because Petey had already been retired (he would sadly be poisoned by persons unknown not soon after being replaced). The ring would swap sides during this brief period of finding a replacement. Eventually his permanent replacement, one of Petey's pups, would be selected as the permanent replacement. He looked very close to the original Petey but didn't have the round ring. They then used black dye around his left eye to make the ring and get him to look even more like his father did. He went on to be used in all the rest of the Our Gang/Little Rascal shorts until they ended at MGM in 1944
The Original Pete the pup was poisoned in the owners backyard by a neighbor. I hope they prosecute exact neighbor. So sad. That's why they had to bring another Pete the pups
