Hey I know it’s 2 years late and you’re probably already connected but for the future people having this problem, go to your phone settings and TURN OFF personal hotspot if you already have it on and then turn it back on. That made the name show up on my iPad 😊

This tutorial could be excellent if it were edited; it’s littered with unhelpful commentary garbage. Take the first few seconds, it should start at “in this video...” The author needs to carefully go through his video taking out that kind of thing and also having close-up images of the settings, rather than his hands! And slowing down at key moments. I wonder whether the author has piloted it? These comments are meant to be helpful, not mendacious.
