In 2024, the earnings of Uber drivers in Las Vegas present a varied landscape, influenced by a multitude of factors including hours worked, location, and individual strategies for maximizing income. As Las Vegas continues to be a bustling hub for tourists and residents alike, Uber drivers have the potential to earn a substantial income, though this can fluctuate widely based on numerous variables.
Average Earnings
According to Salary.com, as of January 26, 2024, the average Uber driver salary in Las Vegas is approximately $39,402 annually. However, this figure ranges significantly from $32,702 to $48,102, suggesting a wide disparity in earnings among drivers. This disparity can be attributed to the number of hours worked, the times of day when drivers choose to operate, and their ability to navigate the city efficiently to maximize earnings.
Glassdoor provides a slightly higher estimate, with the total pay for a Uber/Lyft driver in Las Vegas pegged at an average of $47,110 per year, with the base salary being around $44,188 annually. The additional pay, which could include tips and other earnings, averages to about $2,923.
Hourly Rates and Factors Affecting Earnings
On an hourly basis, the earnings of Uber drivers in Las Vegas can vary greatly. Indeed.com reports that the average hourly pay for an Uber driver in Las Vegas is approximately $19.63, which is 18% above the national average. This hourly rate is indicative of the potential for drivers to earn a decent wage, particularly if they work during peak hours or manage to take advantage of surge pricing, which is common in a city known for its high demand for rideshare services, especially during evenings, weekends, and special events.
Additional Insights
The income from driving with Uber is not just about the distance covered or the hours logged; drivers also need to consider the cost of vehicle maintenance, fuel, and insurance, which are all out-of-pocket expenses. Successful drivers often strategize by working during surge pricing times, focusing on areas with high demand, and providing excellent service to increase their chances of receiving tips.
Furthermore, the dynamic nature of Las Vegas, with its constant stream of tourists and events, offers unique opportunities for rideshare drivers. By staying informed about local events and understanding traffic patterns, drivers can position themselves in areas of high demand to boost their earnings potential.
In conclusion, driving for Uber in Las Vegas in 2024 can be a lucrative endeavor, but it requires strategic planning and dedication. The variance in reported earnings highlights the importance of individual effort and the ability to adapt to the city's ever-changing dynamics. As with any gig economy job, the flexibility and independence come with the responsibility of managing one's own business, including expenses and tax obligations. For those willing to navigate these challenges, Uber driving in Las Vegas offers a viable avenue for earning a competitive income.

Glad to see you back at it i missed the vids
Welcome back 👍👍👍👍
You’re back! 🙌🏻
We Uber drivers should have a social group gathering one of this days
Ayee Blake is back let’s go!
Welcome back
Hey! Welcome back! Hope all is well!
Glad you're back. I've missed your videos. As to the U-Turn thing. Its weird. It will tell you to make a U-Turn and when you get in place to make that turn the app changes to show you've actually done it before you do. The other annoying thing I've noticed is shallow parking lots. If you're not back a ways from the road you turned off of the navigation doesn't like it and will give you wrong directions. A deep parking lot like Wal-Mart or something doesn't give problems but pulling into a 7-11 or something usually does. Drive safe.
Not bad not bad keep it coming bro 🎉
Wow 🤩🙏🏾 I appreciate you taking the time to share this content. I’ve been doing Uber Eats since June 2023 and have been contemplating if prepaying for the county AND state licensure to pickup passengers is worth it. If you could please weigh in on that factor?
By comparison, Uber Eats in Vegas typically pays 40-60usd on Tues&Weds, 60-80usd on Mon&Thu, and 150-225usd FriSatSun. Hours worked ranges from 4-10 hrs but I average 6-8hrs a day. Worth noting, I only accept orders paying $9 or better, never accept if the mileage is under $1/mile, and miiiight do an $8.50 order if it’s 4 miles or less and I’ve been idle for awhile. I avoid the strip unless it’s $20 or better for a single order.
Thanks for the kind words! Jumping from Uber Eats to driving passengers is a big decision, especially with the upfront cost for licenses. You seem to have a solid strategy for Uber Eats. If you apply a similar approach to driving passengers, I think it would definitely pay off. I'd join some Facebook groups in Vegas and talk to some drivers who've made the switch to get a feel for it. Good luck with whatever you decide!
Where have you been? Waiting for ur updated video for last 6 months
@ 15:16 your GPS "thought" that you had already U TURN. when you accept a ride, first thing you should do before driving out is: see where you have to go. so you will not have to look at your GPS while entering the road and figuring out where you have to go.
Welcome back Blake! Missed your videos. I’m driving full time in Vegas w/ Uber. Getting saddled up now to go hit the Friday all night madness. Reach out to me if there is a way to pm, would love to pick your brain and as you haven’t been driving I might be able to fill you in on what I’m experiencing lately w/ Uber. Cheers!
Welcome back. Driving for Uber isn't very motivating. I drove for a couple days when I started, and stopped.
I'm in Vegas now. I drove taxis and drove for Uber briefly in Chicago, can i drive with a 4G low end phone in your opinion, or should I upgrade? 😊
Back for more Security call boxes I know you love those🤣
That's why use Google maps . Lyft/uber navigation is a mess.
Ba la ke where u at!!!
That navigation has been screwy. I’m new to the game three weeks in
Hi,how you doing?
Hey Blake i enjoy your videos I’m thinking about moving to Vegas do u recommend driving for Uber lift? I’m from Los Angeles un employed, what u making typical month? Thanks dude.
I think you would like it here. I’m just driving part time and I haven’t driven in several months. But I could see that you could make $200 to $250 a day in an eight hour period. If you drive 20 days out of the month, you could bring home between $4000 and 5000.
What u paying in rent??@@BlakeDrives
@@BlakeDrives what’s rent looking like for a 1 bedroom apartment?
good luck. the market is highly saturated with Uber, Lyft, and TAXIS in Las Vegas. On top of that, its a small town compared to LA/OC/SD or DFW, etc. Often it is absolutely DEAD. I regret moving to Vegas. Should have just stayed in Portland, I made $30/hr on average doing Uber over there.
@@hc3550 so your saying it’s not worth it how many hours you working weekly?
Miss the vids but why are you driving on strike day?
I was on strike for the last five months. I probably should’ve waited one more day.
Blade do you have a full time job is this Uber just a side gig for you ?
I’m not working at a full time job, I’m living on investments at the moment. Uber and Lyft are just a side gig.
Hope you are going to do uber black!!! Get REAL MONEY! AT THE VERY LEAST, XL!!!!
Yea, pick up a lot of scummys doing UberX/Share. I'm thinking of ditching my Tesla for a Yukon Denali.
@hc3550 Yes! The only genius way to do Uber and lift is to do these 2 platforms as a secondary passive business
While you do your primary business. This is what I mean. I drove uber x , green and xl one hundred and forty thousand miles through the whole pandemic In my 2007 toyota highlander hybrid... Until I ran it into the ground. And it was inoperative on my driveway. I rented an uber black vehicle for nearly two months. THAT IS WHERE THE MONEY IS. I SAW $40 surge bonuses down in Laguna Beach area occasionally. BUT THE ONLY HOURS TO WORK ARE 3:30AM - 8AM ON PCH DOWN TO DANA POINT. AND WAIT AT RITZ CARLTON. AND OTHER TIME TO WORK SATURDAY 4PM-2AM.... MAYBE FRIDAY 10PM-2AM.
I like this guy but as the majority of people, he can’t get away from his slave like communication.
My good sir, you don’t drive FOR Uber. You are working WITH the Uber platform. They can’t tell you when to work and when not to work.
You are your own boss. Remember that.
Love the content.
Why do you usually ignore surge? If it's close, may as well grab it. I only drive when surge is available.
If it’s close, I’ll attempt to, but it normally disappears by the time I get there.
@@BlakeDrivesyup never chase.
Subscribe,support your Uber work journey,have a safe ride Blake🎉😎
