More info: They put a 30 day "movement" permit on the car, and said in 10-15 days I will get stuff to bring to the dmv to register it and get plate. FAQs from below: Where will you park? On the street near my home or in the nearby casinos for free. How much is insurance? I got full coverage with not too big deductible for $233/mo, Progressive (the cheapest of my search) high was Geico at almost DOUBLE that price. Did you pay Cash? Yes, I got a cashier check from the bank. What about DMV Registration fees? For Clark County the fee is estimated to be $458 .. estimate from here: dmvapp.nv.gov/dmv/vr/vr_estimate/vrestimationinput.aspx What about SMOG Test? Because I reside in Vegas, there is smog requirement, but NEW cars are exempt for 3 registrations.
@@dannythemedic they make you go to DMV? In NY, the dealer does all that for you. You get a temp tag to drive off the lot, then go back, usually in a couple weeks, to pick up your plates from the dealer.
Back in 1995, we bought a Plymouth from a local dealer as BJs Wholesale Club members (similar to Costco). Very fair deal. 3 years later we did the same for our second car, same dealer and sales rep. Saved a lot of frustration and anxiety. Congrats Danny.
A new, gasoline, purchased car is best. You're right. Electric and hybrid are too many unknowns not worth paying extra for. Maintenance is expensive too. You'll have this car a long long time. New is good especially for air conditioning! And reliability. Congratulations! I too just bought new. Honda CRV EXL.
I am so happy for you Danny ... you are now the proud owner of a beautiful new car. BTW, I like your color choice, I think you would have grown tired of orange pretty quickly. Now there will be no more waiting for buses, and best of all, you will have air conditioning everywhere you go. Yippee!!! ENJOY! 😊👋🚙
Danny, Congratulations on your new Kia purchase, no more heat stroke waiting for the bus but be careful driving in Vegas...I hear they drive real crazy there! Glad you had a good experience with Troy and the Costco Auto Program, I really enjoyed your video!!!!
Yes Vegas has SOME crazy drivers here. People on pain meds, geriatric drivers who can't see/hear with slow reaction times, people hungover from staying up all night drinking (or maybe they're still drunk), or just downright selfish and aggressive drivers. BUT.... It's not as bad as you think. I would estimate that 90% of drivers here are actually GOOD and POLITE. I'm shocked too. I moved to Vegas from Washington a year ago and I'm pleasantly surprised at how nice most people in the valley are. People in some of the other states like Washington, Oregon, and California are way worse.
The Costco program is legit. I'm not a member, but my buddy bought a new Ram pickup a couple years ago through Costco and got a great deal compared to what he would have paid otherwise.
Congrats on the new car Dan…you’re moving on up!!! New car smell 👍🏾 Now you can drive to further places to eat that you couldn’t or wouldn’t goto by bus
Congrats Danny! That should be a good car for you. My wife had a Soul for 4 years and it was 100% trouble-free - just put gas in it + oil changes, that was it - still on original tires, battery, brakes at 50k miles when it was traded in.
Danny you got a Soul! I’ve had my Soul for 7 years now and I still absolutely love it. Great choice. It’s a perfect little car for the city and finding hard parking spots since it fits everywhere lol. Congrats 🥳
I forgot to bring Vaseline for the last car purchase and it really hurt. Troy was a smooth and calming guy. Straightforward. Not sure what kind of “junk fees” were included but the Costco process sounds like a good option. Hopefully other salesmen are as decent as Troy! Congratulations on your new wheels.
Well, Danny, congrats on your brand new beautiful car. It's great to have a friend like Steve who pointed you toward Costco and away from that awful orange-colored car. I think your videos are going to improve as well with the Kia because you'll be able to go farther, perhaps to Cal & Texas. 🎉😊
Thanks! i bought kia soul new in 2017 still working but you need to change the oil it get black before 3000 ml. that youtuber scoty kilmer that kia are crap he kind of correct i heard some blew up engine. mine kia soul still run minor problem with the park sensor. the soul is easy for older person like me to get on and off. good luck with yours soul!
We bought a used 2015 soul from Findlay. Happy with the car. Surprisingly big inside, reliable. $26k for new soul is a very good deal. 2012 kia sedona van we drove it till 250k very hard miles until transmission went out.
You are smart to get a car with that Vegas heat. I lived in Dallas for 5 years with similar heat, no way I could have survived on public transportation in that Texas heat. Now I live and work in suburban Indy where the bus line stops at the county line, so you have to drive out here. Danny, Congrats on your new car!
Very informative. We moved to Vegas from overseas and settled on buying a used hybrid. We have been very happy with our purchase and the milage is great however I'm terrified of taking it on the freeways, people here do not care about speed limits at all (or red lights). If I could do it all again, I would try to get a car with a lot more power just to match the acceleration when merging of the drivers here. Finding used cars was time consuming and expensive because we had to hire a car or use ride share, and dealers seem to be spread out. We got ours on Freemont St and they were amazing would recommend.
: ) GO Danny! ! WELL DONE and CONGRATS on New Car : ) I had forgotten about Costco Auto Program, and you seem to have gotten a great price and experience ! MOST times its SO STRESSFUL buying a car ! ENJOY and ALL the BEST ! ! ! Cheers : )
Congratulations Danny on your new car. If you have not already done so, besides immediately buying car insurance, you need to buy AAA roadside service even though you have a new car because you may get a flat tire or a blown tire from a pothole or some drunk driver hits your car. Buy the mid-level (100 mile tow) or the highest level membership (200 mile tow). The cheapest membership only gives you a free tow for 5 miles and anything after 5 miles, you have to pay the towing truck.
Congrats on the new car! Buying through Costco, or online is the way to go. The last car I purchased was online. They gave me a good deal. Great thinking purchasing on video as it keeps the salesman honest. Hope you can drive to California again soon when I find the illegal Kwan Loong oil for you. Have fun with your Kia Soul. I don't want to see you or your car in a high speed police chase.
Danny great looking car, looks like you made an easy purchase and everything went smoothly. Good luck with the new car and hope to see it in upcoming videos.😊
DtM, very enjoyable vid, you did good. Steve sent you in the right direction for sure. Good job, Troy was cool and I am so happy for you and your new car! I'm guessing you are traveling around in a cool square box now. Perfect. Tks. Karla in Cali. Gangsta Hamsta
Danny,I'm glad you bought a car.You seem very happy with it and your buying experience with Troy seems to have been very positive.I have lived out here for 40 years and this is by far the hottest summer I have ever seen.I am a non driver and have managed somehow with the help of friends but you REALLY need a car out here.Riding buses gets old very fast.I hope you will be very happy with your new car.Besides, once the weather cools down, you can still use the bus if you wish even though you now have a car.Enjoy and good luck.
I would stick with a toyota if you could afford the higher price... may cost more initially, but you will keep it longer and it will hold its' value when it comes time to sell.
Good job Danny! I sold cars for 10 years in Seattle at a few different lots including a couple years as a internet sales manager. Costco definitely has a solid deal. Back then it was only a few hundred dollar profit for the dealer. Troy seemed like a good dude, definitely lots of shady salesmen out there. The Kia is great for numerous reasons. First it's made in Korea ( Vin number should start with a k ) so it will be almost maintenence free up to 100k miles. They have decent resale value ( resale value important when you go to trade it or of its totaled) and that soul actually has a ton of room. I'm 6-2 230 lbs and I fit just fine. Only knock is the bad visibility on the back corners. Overall for not knowing the process of buying a car you nailed it. Good job.
So very happy for you Danny! I was so worried when I heard about how hot it is there! My recent trip to Vegas last month averaged around 111! Glad to be back in the mountains of far far West Texas! Cheers! Gloria

The car looks beautiful, all the best luck..now you will be out of the heat, and don't forget the cold...it gets super cold in Vegas as you know... can't wait for all your new journeys that you will take your viewer's on....so happy for you😊😊😊😊

Congrats on your new car. My very first new car was a 2001 Kia Rio. After many years driving old beaters. 😁. My current vehicle is a 2011 Dodge Journey(bought new) that is still running great with only 115,000. Km. . But, looking to get a new Toyota next year. Thanks for sharing the whole experience. The Vaseline was hilarious. 😂
So glad you got a car you like. And great hearing the Costco details. I've known about it, but haven't known anyone who used this program. Exciting for sure
In 2019 when we bought a new Toyota Camry for my wife we checked out the Costco auto program but we were able to find a dealer who beat the price. They tried to make it up in the financing department but that was when I whipped out my 2.46 APR pre-approval from Navy Federal Credit Union.
We ❤ your videos Danny !! Congrats 🎉 on the new car… now we can’t wait to see your first parking garage video using your players club card to exit out of the garage Caesar’s properties are the worst!!! Good Luck 🍀
Just a suggestion: used corolla or civic. Doesn't have to be new, just make sure you have an independent mechanic check it out. I would also check Hertz car sales. Just a suggestion. Oh yeah, I would only buy an ICE, again, just a suggestion, lol. Wouldn't advise ev or hybrid.
Danny, I am quite sure if you tried the Porsche 718 Spyder RS (convertible), you would not hit your head getting in!!!! Good job, Steve, on pushing Danny away from the god awful Orange!!!!
You're lucky Danny, you're car buying experience was easy and pleasant. Troy was very pleasant and professional. He explained everything well and helped you out a lot. Wish there were more Troys out there.
I sold for 10 years and it's exactly why I left. It was a constant fight with customers, managers and salesman trying to cut your throat. It can be huge money but it's a pretty scummy Industry
The sales guy Troy seems to be very good. Get a lot of Liability auto insurance. I suggest around $5 million. Check pricing with various insurance brokers. With your spare cash you should be putting it to work. I suggest something like TLT (iShares 20+ Year Treasury Bond ETF) government bonds. It is likely that the Fed will drop interest rates by 25 basis points in Sept, which means that you will make more than the 4.5% yield on that ETF. Holding bond ETFs is good when the Fed drops interest rates (bad when they are raising interest rates). There is a 99.9% probability that they are dropping interest rates sometime this year or early 2025.
Danny, congratulations on your new car purchase. I hope you asked for the military discount as well. Now you have to check all your casino rewards cards to see which ones give you free parking. Fountainbleu, MGM, Caesars all give me free Valet parking and self parking. I think Resorts World is free parking for Elite and above, but I don't go there much. Just another thing to consider, now that you have your own "wheels" and the freedom that goes with it.
I bought a new 2019 Kia Soul which I love getting in & out of…not too high, not too low. Lots of nice features, comfortable, lots of passenger room in back too. 100,000 miles or 10 years warranty. Important however, to follow the maintenance schedule. And you need to test drive before you buy….Good choice!
Congrats on the new car Danny! You deserve it and you work hard for it. It will be much safer and more convenient for you. Drive it in good health! 👍 That process looked great btw. Worth checking out.
Congrats on your new car. Look forward to your driving to somewhere videos. when it cools down maybe your can visit the casinos in california and/or arizona
❤the color! I'm excited for you. This is a life-changing purchase. Thanks so much for sharing this experience, so informative. It's remarkable that you held out as long as you did. Three whole months without a car in Vegas is impressive. People who don't drive here are mainly those who really can't afford a car or have their driver's license suspended. Now that you have a car, please resist the urge to do donuts all about town. 😝
Danny you impress me as a very nice gentleman Best of luck on yr very nice looking new car and mxny yrs of service from it. The Costco program looks to be very good, i may try it in the future. All the best!
Congratulations on your new car! If you keep up with maintenance and aren’t hard on the car, it should last a long time. I have a 2006 Toyota RAV4 that has 375k miles.
Congratulations!!! It's very nice looking. You'll be happy you decided to get one. Watch out for the bad/crazy drivers and the horrible traffic spots😂😂. Oh, and the few bad roads 🤣🤣🤣.
DTM you should have took the prop monies to the dealership and at the time of paperwork tell them that you want to finance. You would get confused looks, and you tell them that you wanted to build your credit. Congrats DTM! There goes leg days 😂
More info: They put a 30 day "movement" permit on the car, and said in 10-15 days I will get stuff to bring to the dmv to register it and get plate.

Troy + Costco = Success! 👏👏👏
Let's not forget about Steve who suggested the Costco Auto Program in the first place. Happy Kia trails, Danny! 😊

Love your car Danny! Troy is a gem. Professional courteous and knowledgeable. Honest. Great video😊
Great choice, Danny! A proper chariot for our king.
why thank you! Funny is a chariot because it does feel that slow sometimes it is an economy box
One of your funniest videos ever!
Danny I a 2022 new kid soul. Loved it ran good good milage ice cold air. I delivered catering with it. I sold back to the dealer in 2023 for a profit.
Congratulations on your new car Danny. I wish you many happy miles of motoring. Try not to get too many speeding tickets.
I drive like a grandma!

I would change the oil sooner than the schedule, and also tranny fluid (drain and fill, not flush) at every 40K.. ( i know it is expensive )
congrats. be careful out there! vegas drivers can be crazy
Glad you got a car!
That's a perfect car for you Danny the Medic. Take care of it and it should last you a long time.
I needed an ORANGE ONE! grrrrr lol
@@dannythemedic This liquid gunmetal shade is so cool though. 😎
Best of luck with your new KIA SOUL!🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Danny you impress me as a very nice gentleman
Best of luck on yr very nice looking new car and mxny yrs of service from it. The Costco program looks to be very good, i may try it in the future. All the best!
Congratulations on your new car! If you keep up with maintenance and aren’t hard on the car, it should last a long time. I have a 2006 Toyota RAV4 that has 375k miles.
😂 your facial expressions are hilarious! I also like your direct approach.
I've had my eye on a Kia Soul for a while now. It's a beautiful car - very good choice, Danny 👌
Congratulations!!! It's very nice looking. You'll be happy you decided to get one. Watch out for the bad/crazy drivers and the horrible traffic spots😂😂. Oh, and the few bad roads 🤣🤣🤣.
Yeah Danny! Enjoy the new ride!
DTM you should have took the prop monies to the dealership and at the time of paperwork tell them that you want to finance. You would get confused looks, and you tell them that you wanted to build your credit. Congrats DTM! There goes leg days 😂
Nice car .. congrats..👍🏻
Forget about the bus😂
