    I did the course in South Africa during July 2024, it’s an experience that’s hard to put in words. A journey full of experiential wisdom. It requires a-lot of discipline and tolerance. “ BE HAPPY”

      Most Vipassana retreats in Thailand are 10 days long, although some centers offer shorter or longer retreats.

    Nice video! A great place to learn meditation for beginners and an introduction to stay in a Theravada Buddhist monastery, many students from Wattamwua visit us for a more intense meditation experience. 😇

    It is such a wonderful place. I have been there 2 times. So peaceful. I bring a sleeping mat with me to make it more comfortable....

    Excellent condition at the monastery..attended 1 in a pretty run down centre and that affected my meditation practice quite a bit..thanks for sharing! Definitely a good place to go for a fruitful meditation retreat 🙏

    hi, where do you take the 150-baht bus? And how do you go back to Chiang Mai airport from Wat Pa Tam Wua

      from Wat you go Pai Bus station first and then to Chiang Mai Bus station - and then transfer to the Airport

      The maximum length stay is 10 days, but after the 10 days you go for another 10 and 10. They are very kind, I'm sure you can

      You can keep the phone (you decide how deep you want to experience the practice) and you can talk to people, unless they wear the bedge “Silence”

    Hi, thanks a lot for the video! I am planning to visit this center in November. Honestly, I do not like cold weather and based on my research, November seems OK. Just wanted to know your thoughts about the season. And I am quite afraid of going there without a booking :) Do you still think I shall text them and at least inform them about my plans?       Now I get pictures from a friend of mine who visited the place, that they place extra visitors to stay in small tents, which is great too. You will have place where to stay, just follow information on their website. Novermber is usually a rainy season

      there are no fees. You make a donation after the course how much you are willing to give. You donate and it allows Wat to let other people stay in the retreat too.

    This is not the best place to learn meditation in Thailand though other facilities are good. They just teach some simple meditation techniques, not the deep insight meditation in Buddhism.
