@@jeffforsythe9514 I disagree. There are a growing number of people who come back from the brink of death to warn that the Tunnel of Light is a trap (reincarnation) and that, to have any chance of dedemption/freedom, we must avoid the Light and go to the Original Darkness. NDE people who have experienced the Darkness all say how it has an endless and indescribabke nature that is the epitome of peaceful and supportive presence and truth, whereas those who experience the Light use 'human language' and speak of being enticed and guided into it as though it urgently wanted them to come to it and avoid looking elsewhere. The Darkness lets us make our own decisions and does nothing to coerce us or even send us through a system of judgement (life review)... it is just accepting no matter what.
In other words, the reason nothing changes here in this realm, is because we keep on getting caught in the trap reincarnation and this system designed to make us feel guilty and/or shameful. However, those who engage with Ancient Beings have discovered that the Darkness (being the original source - or God) is where we find liberation from this trap. In fact, even Remote Viewers have discovered the same thing. In short, the Light is a trap and uses human values and traits to get us to accept it.
Interesting stuff, for sure.

What's discussed in this video scratches the surface of what the human soul is capable of. If you don't offend easily, listen to the audiobook "The Latent Power of the Soul" by a guy who died in Chinese prison around a century ago, his name is Watchman Nee... The book speaks to the fall & how Adam's God given capabilities weren't stripped from him, but instead bound up within his new body & the soul that was given unto him as a helpmate (Eve)... The capacities of the human soul for healing, foretelling, astralprojecting, communicating with spirits etc... All out of the self nature, apart from the living God, are vast. On some level the book is a tough pill to swallow, but is intellectually easing to the ends of dying to operating out of the self/human nature that we are all laced with.
The title is actually opposite of what is being said in the video. I suggest you to change it as soon as possible.

I wish Buddhism and Advaita didn't have swapped definitions of awareness and consciousness. It confuses many teachings and people.
I agree. It can sound nihilistic and confusing.
@:Chad Kline:
'Who is the entity who says "I am confused"? This is the entire teaching of NONDUALISM, whether you name it Hinduism, Buddhism or any other name. Words are 'pointers' to your own TRUE SELF. Nothing more. Please read the book 'POINTERS' of Nisargadatta Maharaj wriiten by Ramesh Balsekar. 'Confusion' pertains to the realm of maya, but we are beyond and prior to maya. We ourselves create maya, get entangled in it, free ourselves from it and finally realize the whole thing was never real. Be well or rather just BE. 🙏
@@VenkyVennyLakshmanGarke The entity that is confused is the biology/flesh/mind/brain.
I do not agree with the term 'non-dualism' because there is always the sense of 'i am here' even when all of spacetime and the entire material universe vanishes. In the 9th jhana, Cessation, there is still self and emptiness, 2 things.
Yes, I know all you say is true, but you don't truly realize it until you can make all of material existence vanish, and all of spacetime. The you see that the spirit is 1) awareness, 2) conscience or an instantaneous knowledge/knowing, and 3) a power of intent. And you learn that any intentions connected with a body will instantly bind you to a body.
But I see/define 'consciousness' as a field of the nervous system, and it serves as a bidirectional interface between the spirit and flesh.
And in Advaita, they use the word 'consciousness' in 100 ways for different things.
1) consciousness is a field of the nervous system where sensory input is radiated. The spirit reads this with awareness. The spirit is bound to this because of sensual intents. After reading consciousness with awareness, processing via conscience is performed, and then intent may write to the field of consciousness, thus inducing thought or muscular movements. The field of consciousness is a bidirectional interface between the spirit and the flesh. At some point in the birth process, this interface is activated by flesh to capture a spirit. Thus, consciousness depends upon spirits, and spirits depend upon consciousness.
2) the spirit is immortal because it is zero-dimensional; and thus, decay is not possible. All creatures with a nervous system must capture a spirit at some point in the birth process, or they perish because biology cannot route sensory input into thought or muscular output without a spirit mediating in the middle. Nature must have evolved this way because early in evolution, it was found by primitive nervous systems that binding a spirit to the field of consciousness out-performed purely biological machines.
3) rebirth is the law unless sensual intents have been completely obliterated. At death, anyone that has attained Cessation can unequivocally state that a spirit will bind to a new field of consciousness. All creatures have the exact same sense of 'i am here', they only differ in their sensory faculties. The spirit/self/citta is eternal. All things rooted in materiality are temporary.
So I say :)
Interestingly, Iearned the other day that Muslims call their heavens 'jannah'. And if you know anything about Christianity, the whole story and many of the teachings are identical to that of the Buddha, so the whole world truly owes India a lot. Probably the greatest contributors to humanity.
I say thank you to India/Nepal for the wisdom and knowledge they have given to the world.
I am no expert but I think the primary difference between Advaita and Buddhism in practice is that in Advaita, they ask 'what is this I?' and in Buddhism that look at all things and say 'I am not that'.
If you can perceive it, it can't be you. It's something else.

@@goranjovanovic1152 Yes, but they explain things (Ramana is an exception) with words, in Nisargadata's case lots of words, which can't really convey much, the experience must be had by oneself. I think we all have our moments of clarity which can't be held on to but one can't own an experience, what happens just happens without our volition.
A guru can't do anything except expound on his own experience. Nisargadatta was full of his own importance as a guru whereas Ramana understood that he couldn't do anything, it was up to the individual and since we are not the doer whatever happens is beyond our control, a so called 'awakening' happens or it doesn't, no guru can bring it about, he can teach but that is duality in its essence, there is a teacher and a student, two not one. A maths teacher can teach mathematics but if your genetic make up is such that you have no talent for maths you will learn nothing.
I have just now listened to a very convincing account of a German woman's NDE without the exaggerated pink candyfloss words one so often hears. Very calm, very exact, explaining the psychological effects that this has had upon her, very different from Nisargadatta's explanations, I got more from her 1 hour than any of the guru's cascading words.
I live in the countryside in Thailand, there is a small lake opposite our Buddhist temple full of giant cat fish, I can sit there for hours and sink into the surroundings as if in trance, it won't bring me enlightenment but I don't need it, I am here now at this moment grateful that I can experience this, Nisargadatta may reject this as an illusion but it is wonderful and there is a reason behind everything, accept the gifts given in love of what is.
Those who worship the guru do not understand the guru. A guru is just a person who talks a lot. Sometimes they are just narcissists who hunger for your attention.
A guru cannot do all the work for you. They may have helpful suggestions, but they are not the path. If you follow a guru, you will only get lost.
Not at all.. suffering cometh from deceitful ones that are in fact the disease they speak of and place label on. Unjustly.
1 Timothy 4:10 - The New International Version (NIV)
10 That is why we labor and strive, because we have put our hope in the living God, who is the Savior of all people, and especially of those who believe.

It didn't do much for him considering where he ended up.
@@albundy9597 He "ended up" there for love of you and me. Be wise, follow Him, don't mock Him.
@@toddcarver1430 He ended up there for the same reason that 'witches' and heretics were burnt at the stake in the middle ages, he trod on too many toes and was deemed a threat to the status quo.Not only do religious institutions rely on the populace believing in a religion ( eg the infallibility of the pope) for power and wealth but the state needs the people to believe as well (the divine right of kings). Anybody rocking the foundations has to go.
Jesus was a Jewish mystic who started to believe in the prophesies of old and brought about his own demise to prove them right. As it was, the Christian religion turned out to be useful to the Roman empire after the first persecutions, a religion of peace and non violence was what the state needed for maximum control of the sheep.

Yes and in correct. We are here to suffer, "Buddha", and there is a wonderful practice, Falun Dafa, which explains the truth.
Why, when instructing eastern philosophy, do teachers love to throw into the mix the words of the original language? Are you going to teach the whole language, or is your purpose to teach the ideas? It is not helpful in any way as far as understanding the concept. Is the teacher showing off or thinking this validates the ideas in some way? This is especially prevalent in Buddhism and other Indian religions and philosophies.
We have been put here TO suffer to redeem our souls. There is a correct Way to suffer and the wonderful practice Falun Dafa shows the Way.

IMPORTANT :
It is very different to read ideally in print to listening, although usefull.
Most usefull is the company of a sadguru, then to be present to his direct teachings ,then books ala metaphysical IN ---sights,as NM said only o e in a million wil get beyond the I am state .
His equal Upsani Maharaj, St J of Cross etc ,to obtain insight put it all to naught ,then awareness is aware of consciousness direct and identification with fluctuations does not take hold ,there are knumerable approaches ,Yoga ,Jhana, devotion, etc or questioning etc all help ,but Reality is beyond consciousness itself even 🌻💭🧘♀️✝️❔🌈

There is no separate intelligence weaving a destiny, and no choice functioning at any level.
