Luthier John Kinnaird at the Artisan Guitar Show 2023

We had a blast at the 2023 Artisan Guitar Show in Harrisburg, PA, playing guitars and chatting with luthiers from all over North America and beyond! Here we chat with North Carolina builder John Kinnaird about his acoustic guitars, beautifully handcrafted with a blend of classic design and a more modern, West Coast-inspired tone, feel, and aesthetic. He often utilizes more boutique tonewoods and incorporates imaginative inlays to make each one unique. Brother to fellow luthier Stephen Kinnaird, we were delighted to meet him at the 2023 Artisan Guitar Show where we got to chat and try his guitars in person. We're proud to feature them here on CVE!
John has listed three guitars with us: an OM Macassar Ebony/Adirondack, a West Coast OM Brazilian Rosewood/Redwood, and a Slope D Curly Maple/Bearclaw Sitka.
