What does a "lower cold rating" mean? Does that mean it handles colder weather better? I'm in Canada and while it's not artic cold here in the winter there is generally a couple of weeks where the temps are -15F or even a little colder. Thanks for the video. It is the viscosity rating at cold temps. I wouldn’t do what this guy does and get an 0W20 of the oil cap calls for 5W20. The engineers choose the weight of the oil to match the gaps and tolerances in your engine. So unless you know something they don’t, I’d follow their recommendation.
