Just serviced our 2013 Hyundai i30 today for the you guessed Wifes car. Very helpful. Can you do one for the spark plugs? I have done old Honda Accords and Toyota Corollas before. Anything different? Other than needing irduim spark plugs? Thanks
Check the user manual. It should be under a heading called "Maintenance" or "Specifications". Short trips won't make a difference to what oil she uses but it should be checked often. The viscosity of the oil, however, is determined on the climate. This should also be stated in the manual.

Hey, good job man. I was just wondering if a 2008 Hyundai i30 will be the same? It's a petrol also and it's the 2.0l
Lachlan Sheward the 2008 model is very similar just as easy to do, same oil filter and oil capacity.

How necessary is the claw wrench? Would you manage getting the filter off without one?
Yea you dont really need one. They're usually pretty easy to loosen with the hands
