Thanks for the video... Wow! You must be loving the limited traffic and open space there in North Carolina. I am from Southbay California and it is a crazy mess over here.. So much traffic and crazy drivers. That has been the whole reason I haven't gotten a bike sooner.. It's scary riding over here. But I have been really eyeing the Lowrider S for a couple years now. I think I may just pull the trigger on this 2022 model this year.
He is in North Carolina , But Wilmington, nc Charlotte, NC Raleigh,Winston Salem, nc all the beaches in NC heavy traffic and wide open. MY brother lives 45 mins from LA ,California He day the same as you... MYRTLE Beach, SC is bad from Feb to September.. yeah I want the Harley low ride S so bad... be safe in Cali......
The st has more lean angle and more aggressive riding position. 1 inch taller ride hight in rear. Means more aggressive turn in. Putting you more on the bike rather than in with your arms stretched out, the last place you want to be for defensive or aggressive reaction and riding. And yes 1 inch will make a big noticeable difference Sorry if you want more performance feel stock.. the st will be better. Just simple geometry and rider positioning.
I love what they’ve done with the new FXLRS but I just picked up the last remaining ‘21 model on the lot at my local dealership and it’s no slouch either. I test rode 4 bikes that day and when I finally rode the LRS I was done. It was everything I was looking for and didn’t even know it, lol. I traded in my iron 883 for it and what a difference in every single way. It’s a beautiful bike that is a blast to ride, and it’s a Harley Davidson! What more could you want? Btw, I love the new grey, especially in person.
I just got this exact bike a week ago and i LOVE it i literally traded my Pan America for it lol ALSO p.s. you cant do a 2 to 1 without voiding the warranty right now cause they have no in house tuners for it so you HAVE to get slipons which sucks bad but hey if i got no issues in a year or so ima just start getting it decked lol
ordered this bike from the factory in vivid black . Im upgrading from a 2016 sporster 48 , im 5-9 under 150 lbs , what can i expect from this Bike , with my low weight was this a good choice of bike ? i guess what im asking is , will i be able to keeep the front end on the road ?
@@SpeedwayHarleyDavidson I'd buy an ST in a heartbeat in April when they should reach dealers, but HD - being the absolute clowns they are - seemingly produced way too few of them. I'm riding bikes since 12 years, mostly sportbikes, but I learned to love Harleys in the past few years and got one as a 2nd bike back in 2019. But I'm primarily a motorcyclist and not a "Harley rider". So I won't have any problems spending my 25k which I intend to spend on a new touring bike at the start of the 2022 season elsewhere.
@@Schleberger idk where you got your info from but I test rode this bike yesterday and Harley said 91hp and 125 lbs. so no it definitely doesn’t have anywhere near 106hp. This bike is super slow, the torque actually doesn’t come on until just over 4000 rpm , it sounds like a Honda shadow , has extremely loud valve noise esp on the left side. The front suspension is great, the rear suspension is super jarring and uncomfortable. Honestly the m8117 is trash compared to my twin cam 117. The Harley dealer thought I was joking when I said my 2016 dyna s lowrider w 117 would sh!t on the 2022 117 all day. I let 2 of the reps take my bike out and both now understand what a real 117 is all about. M8 is trash. Best thing Harley did was move the gauge up; but you can’t even see the digital part in any sort of light. I’m sure it’s nice at night but in the daytime the Speedo is useless except for the tachometer.
@@EARDRUMASSASSIN if the first harley I rode was a dyna instead of an m8 softail, i'd still be a harley hater. Dynas are junk Also, the information is straight from the official harley website
I like the color. Aesthetically I like the gauges on the tank, and not a fan of how they combed the gauges into one. More travel is also nice, 117 is not that special. Shoulda been released with a 128 or 131 imo.
They moved the gauge in a better place but left that stupid ugly blank console on the tank. The gauge's look leaves something to be desired too. They just are not quite getting it. Great vid :)
What lean angle if your not scraping the pegs it,s no lean angle . Suspension amazeing how ? more rebound ? chattering on the brakes " level of travell front & Rear ??
If you tried the previous model the new model is a totally different stance I'm 5"10 previous model felt more sitting in the motorcycle and not so hunched over. New model sitting on the bike and arms lowered down making the top of your back hunched.
Part Number: 54000294 is the good thing about this years release… same suspension as low rider S 2022( 1 inch higher)… can be retrofitted to all softail and touring model…
@@EARDRUMASSASSIN I agree buying aftermarket was the only choice . This time a customer has a choice to go probably a little cheaper with the OEM shocks(1 inch taller). Those street bikes were made at a price point and hence it suffered a lot on the quality of shocks, brakes, electrical but I think a lot of people could afford it( it is a good bike I thought especially in city- great new bike for customisation). The quality suffered a lot though( people didn’t not want those bikes manufactured in India- it almost felt poor standards in India).Later they introduced street rod 750. It was miles ahead In quality but then the price increased. The price increased to an extend that Harley-Davidson tried to cheap out on ergonomics to keep selling price lower than 883 ( hoping the customers will always spend additional on handlebar, seat, foot-pegs as the case with all Harley-Davidson bikes but that didn’t happen for street rod 750 in spite of a very good motor and excellent fun). I also think with competition from other 600-800cc motorcycles the street rod 750 was deemed lesser value for money. The other manufacturers gave far superior performance parts and tech than Harley-Davidson 750cc street/city bikes and could not impress the young crowd.
How aabout a sliver--moon type shape tach that clips on top of the speedo that is there now. It would be an electric digital type guage. Just the top half of the speedo's dia., and say 1 inch wide annular ring. An accesory. ??
That tach should have been a speedo. Most Harleys live in the 2k-4K range, and you can always tell by sound when to shift. It ain't a sports bike. You need the speedo as you can tell at a glance how fast you are going, and thus avoid traffic tickets...
Do you feel more connected to it. Previous model you have the sensation of felling sitting in the motorcycle. Don't like the Grey colour imaging the lowrider with that green flame pearl paint. New tank looks flat to my eyes lost the lines of the original fxs lowrider,ok you might have to look at the tank clocks on the previous lowrider but at least it was a characteristic of it also wear a open Face helmet no issues of looking at the tank clocks. New lowrider s model doesn't do anything for me just the same as the other softail models to me sitting on the bike and getting less characteristic charm.
Man, ant European reviewer but there? I'm though with US guys "testing" the bike and its improved lean angle on straight roads. It is like watching paint dry

Yes you should be fine. Just work on mastering the throttle.
When will the cruiser series equip with RDRS? Just can’t understand why the most sporty bike of Harley haven’t got any electronic equipment.
It's a harley thing
Is there a noticeable difference in performance with the 117? Love the black!
If the numbers are correct (95 -> 106hp) there definitely should be!
You can definitely feel an increase in torque and performance. You have to test ride one.

Put a deposit down on an ST model and since they’re not out until April this is as close as I’ll get to it until then.

slip ons require tune. cats are in the mufflers on the FXLRS
Just a correction. It's not an upgrade to the gauge if you go from 2 analog gauges to one. The st version will be an even bigger downgrade
