Pro tip: Hand tighten all those undertray screws. You can use a power tool to unscrew them, but when you put them back do it by hand. A power tool will torque those suckers in so tight some will never come out again.
@@vip_supercars3652 that's not too bad all things considered. I looked it up and found someone's forum post with an itemized breakdown. They charge 1.5 hours in labor for an oil change. The actual cost will depend on the shop labor rates and markup on the oil and filter. The post said their NYC area Alfa dealer charged them $189/hr so $283 total labor. But they also charged him $100 for the filter... Yeah... For perspective, the Kia dealership here in Pittsburgh charges $145/hr labor so even a Kia dealer would be $217 in labor. I'd gladly do it myself on my wifes Kia if I could trust them not to fight me in the event we ever need to warranty something.
My friend with this car saying they charging her $215 at most it’s for the skid plate and understandable annoyance but still no reason the oil change should be $215 but that is cheaper than both the prices yah mentioned and thats a Alfa Dealer in Boston, MA or surrounding cities
Every time I change my oil on my BMW I thank an engineer there is an access door for the oil drain plug and then the filter sits on top of the engine right in the front.
I'm planning on buying one soon and I was thinking the same exact thing once I saw how much is involved in just getting to plug and filter. No wonder they charge an hour and a half. It's 45 minutes of loosening and tightening bolts.
@@pick1888 I'd be pissed too because they will still charge full book rate every time. But that's what happens when shops pay their guys flat rate. That said, my plan keeps it covered and well secured but would not take more than a minute or two to remove and replace.
@@usefulrandom1855 Because any dealer in the US had to abide by EPA regulation and tell you that their vehicle last longer than the oil is realistically capable of. If you understand how a car with a turbo works, you SHOULD be doing it every 5K or earlier.

nah just get a Milwaukee impact driver and put that sucker on 1 your good
do you have an alfa?
So how did you guys reset the light ?
Looks like you placed your axle stands on a suspension arm!! 😮
You’re right. It’s not safe
If done at the dealer, the most cost(time wise) would probably go towards the removing of the skid plate.
Mustang sounds ANGRY!! Love it!

This rule also applies to removing your filter Righty-tighty, Lefty-loosey! Not a bad video though.
It takes MOPAR oil filters because it is a Stellantis (MOPAR) standardized engine.
Dealer charged me $311 for an oil change for my Guilia
You got fucked without Vaseline. And raw style
I know in the Midwest it runs around 250-275. Not too bad.

Naw, screw that, ima just a couple nut plates and make a door for the oil drain. That’s crazy to have to take that entire pan off lol
Every time I change my oil on my BMW I thank an engineer there is an access door for the oil drain plug and then the filter sits on top of the engine right in the front.
That's the first thing I was thinking. I would only take that thing off 1 time lmao

How to reset oil light
If you can’t get a filter off by hand it was over torqued
Hand tighten them on don't crank the hell out of the other then that good video
Is this the same for a 2020?
do you guys recommend a muffler delete? I want one but I think it might be too loud for my neighborhood when I leave in the morning
If you do just the muffler it won’t be that bad but I mean it’s still loud
I have a muffler delete I find it quiet no one has complained it sounds nice 10/10 recommend I’m trying catless downpipes soon
@@chrisjebenian4156did u do it
I did it and it sounds really good, I did it about a month ago, u can hear it for sure and I have pops as well!
Dude, you definitely need a bigger house with more garage space
Buy some ramps. Much easier.😊
How often do you change oil?
Every 3-5k miles
@@daringwhips even if it’s once in two years?
Pretty sure that's the same oil filter for a 2019 Charger RT.
Yeah it’s recommended to use mopar filters
Because is engine Mopar....
How do you reset engine oil light
Step on the gas 3 times with just the ignition on
@@daringwhips thank you sir !
@@b58Narek did it work?

I can make a video about it bro it worked for our Alfa 🤷🏼♂️
If you don't have the right tools go to a gas station. Buy the oil, filter and have it done there.
YOU FORGOT TO SHOW HOW TO RESET OIL MAINTENANCE LIGHT AND APPLY OIL ON THE OIL FILTER GASKET SO NEXT TIME THE OIL FILTER COME OFF EASIER
We didn’t have the light on yet but I will make a another better video explaining the stuff I left out
Good job Singh, good to see some Sikh brothers with cars.
Thanks bro
How many miles do you change your oil?
Every 3k miles
@@daringwhips Why so often? The official service plan is every 9,000 miles. You are doing it three times more often than the dealer says?

I believe that’s not the correct oil bro, I’m not 100% sure but don’t they take a certain European formula?
I checked with my tuner before changing the oil so I know it’ll work. And it’s been over 5 months it runs perfect 👍
Pennzoil euro platinum 0w30

Wrong oil, Multi air Unit will blow up
It's the same oil dealers use when they are out of Mopar

No is not, this is the same oil the dealership uses. Alfa updated their specs since 2020

I'll take it to the dealer!!!
Have you figured out why that’s a bad idea yet? Alfa has THE worst service, good luck getting quotes under 160$ for a oil change
