It used to have a diffrent livery right? With a yellow stripe att the bottom around the car instead of blue? Or do you know of there was a second one of these cars racing with differens colors?
Thanks James. We're stoked you're enjoying them. There's a few more rotors we know about kicking around that we're chasing down for future episodes so keep an eye out ;)
I always thought this car was a highly modified 2 rotor 13b twin turbo. I thought it was in the rule book that they had to use a engine from one of their production cars to compete in IMSA.
This car was repourposed for the super touring/unlimited racing class and funnily enough im watching a short film about it on a special forza motorsport xbox game limited edition bonus content disc that comes as a separate blueray disc in the game disc folder. It includes a bunch of short films about different car types and super unlimited is one of them. (I’m extremely nerdy)
@mftuning2891 I get it, it was raced in America first with a 2 rotor under IMSA rules and was then shipped to Australia where it had the displacement increased upto a 3 rotor for a unlimited racing class?
I wonder if this was Mark Williams car? He ran the MazSpeed (or was it Rotary Beat) workshop on the Gold Coast back in the day. This could have been his car that he imported from the states ......
Awesome car. Watched it race back in its day. I think it's an FC body style though. not FD

Loving these features, especially this one as a Mazda guy. Great work!

@ yes
One of my absolute favorite cars ever. There aren’t enough rotary cars in motorsports imo
Because mazda dropped the engine. So, no need to sponsor a car. 😥
@@jrgeiler oh ok
Can you keep adding on rotors?🤯
Oh man. I have always loved this car!
So many bad ass cars in that series
Yeah, it's awesome to see them all still being used for what they were intended. Getting around race tracks!
This is just awesome. Which group c Rx does he also own?
The engine sound is insane 😋 🤙
Thanks guys
Our pleasure! thanks for watching!
i'd love to know the IMSA history of it. i remember the Mandeville 3 rotor and the Cuningham 3 rotor, both FDs
Maybe set up a go pro in these great cars next time you do a series like this 👍
We had GoPros in 3 of the cars already featured Big Keg.
Limited resources and few sessions for the cars means we get the best we can.
@@BlendLineTV Yes, sorry, memory like a sieve
All good mate, loving the features.
@4:45 I imagine you can feel that sound in your chest. Those that know, know.
It's an FC RX7, not an FD.......
Out of all the rotaries the 20B is the best
Beautiful 👌🏻

if its not a rota, its not a motor.
MAD!
She's a beast of a car. Can't wait to see more at future events.
@@BlendLineTV Oh Yeah Sexy & Fast!
Sick car but I prefer the IMSA GTO RX7 and the Art Nature Group C rx7
