- It was so loud in the church that night the water in the bottles was vibrating like a scene from Jurassic Park. And So I Watch You From Afar? And so I hear you from the next county more like!

For the last fourteen years Other Voices has been capturing musical performances in intimate spaces. The TV show and music festival which began in Dingle, Ireland has travelled to London, New York, Derry, Latitude Festival and Ireland's premier music festival, Electric Picnic.
Feels so weird coming back to this video a decade later, but it aaaalways holds up.
true that
So unfair when your drummer is ambidextrous. Such a killer track and amazing performance!!
Almost forgot to listen to this this week
This is just phenomenal like what a performance my god please come to dublin after this pandemic and chris wee you are a god
I watched it in 2013, 2015, 2016, 2017 and wanted now in 2019 ... some special energy and drive for me. my ASIWYFA started with this. thank you, guys!
There's something so iconic about this particular performance. The energy, as you said, is wicked. Not usually my cup of tea music wise but I too have watched this performance dozens of times over a few years
Cómo llego a tus oídos ?)
I am seeing them live tonight in Brighton for the first time and have been trying to see them for the LAST FIVE YEARS. I am super stoked, it's a dream come true
i remember when i heard this track for the first time back when it was released and my teeth nearly fell out because it was just that good
I just listened this song yesterday by a “mouse on the keys” radio selection on Spotify, can’t believe I just heard it for the first time, this band is AMAZING.
I was lucky enough to see these lads in a small venue in Pittsburgh, along with Zechs Marquise, and they blew us away with this song (as well as the rest of their set). You could feel the energy coming from the amps. It was cool.
Holy shit this is amazing
No
@@angrysceptile587 Have you got covid dude and lost your taste, or if it's not your genre of music, why comment? You're either a troll or an imbecile, nuff said ☘
the only thing I would go to the church for
Drummer is flawless.
Chris wee!
Read through the dictionary there and no there is defineatly no word to descibe the epic greatness of this!!!
Wow they should be way more popular
Absolutely joyous.
I saw them couple of days ago in Budapest. No question, they're the best live band in the whole world.
Mindboggingly brilliant
Pure amazing!
ROCK AND FUCKING ROLL
Been in love with them this song and others so amazing! And the drummer even more! Keep going !
pure brilliance
breathtaking
Love these boys infectious music keep it coming
Beautiful catharsis!
this bass is so beautiful
Wow, theseguys are crushin' it!
super cool irish band. ireland makes good music. found fontaines dc this week.
Feels like electricity rushing through the blood. Masterpiece.
I listen to this song on my way to work when I know I’m gonna have a big day, gets me all sorts of crazy!
This is some joyful jamming guys.
Sweet stuff guys.
knocks me down
A great discovery!
i've watched the show on iConcerts. Awesome
Drums - этот парень гений!!!
A-mazing
Genius
Big fans of tele's I see, can't go wrong!
well, im sold. holy shit.
This song has some cool usage of the Boss PS-5.
I just bought one and Ill get it in the mail next week.
Ive had that pedal before. its fun and I can definitely recommend it.
How did you get with your pedal? The electric violin is important too….
wow long time!
This is so good that i lack words to describe it .... So damn fucking awesome !!!!!
Зашел чисто случайно,а оказалось очень достойно играют! Так держать!
Fucking amazing that this wall of sound is merely a four piece. Right on.
Dankzij StuBru leren kennen en onmiddelijk grote fan
@OtherVoicesLive THIS BAND IS SEEEEXXXXXX!!!!
at both the end of this video and the end of S is for Salamander from these sessions Rory has to do his shoelace up at the end. If you carry on like that you may actually rock your own socks off.
Guitargasm! Freaking Geniuses
It's a lot better than many bands out there who don't come close to their studio sound :) It could always do with a bit of an improvement maybe with the second guitar but it's pretty damn sweet xD these guys blow my mind every time I hear their songs! They played in my town of Mullingar a good while back and I missed it...I will rue the day for the rest of my life....COME BACK TO WESTMEATH PLEASE! ;(
Pretty fresh jams what was he doing in the beginning was that like a magnet or something also that Telecaster with the humbucker at the neck and single coil at the bridges a killer set up
Thats an ebow, its basically two magnets that are puling the string up and down and creates a drone. The rest of the sound is a lot of delay and reverb and probably a putch shifter.
Yes. There's a speaker output on the back of most combos, two on some (mine anyway) so he just sends a speaker cable from there to the cabinet, but considering you called it a box I don't know how much you know about guitar amps.
THE CAMERA QUALITY IS AMAZING!!!!!!!
even live these guys sound like they're in a studio..... me likey
Holy Shiz!!!!!!!
If you dig it, I suggest you check out Sigur Ros, they use one (and a REAL bow!) all the time, amazing stuff man :) In particular, the tune E-BOW (that's the nickname they gave it) from their ( ) album, the bassist uses it, and it is INCREDIBLE.
TOOL is also a band that uses it. Although I absolutely love Sigur Ros's music, I think that people who listen to ASIWYFA are more likely to like Tool than Sigur Ros.
Yes yes yes yes
Can anybody please help me track down the video of 'A Little bit Of Solidarity Goes A Long Way" from the same gig? That performance was epic! What concert was that?
what's the device he used on his guitar during the intro? The sound is fucking awesome.
It's an Ebow. Sorry I'm 4 years late.
JD better late than never amigo
wow why aren't you four millionaires? that was fucking sick, i'm so proud you guys come from belfast
this shit's ace
you should see'm live! Looks like the guitars might spontanously combust and the drummer and his drum island simply explode at any given time during the set ...
This is the kind of music that makes you a smarter person for having listened to it. This blew me away, nice work lads.
The intro resembles a bit on robot rock of daft punk 😁
2:46 is the exact point when guitars are set to kill. Just so you know...
hi youtube, does anyone know what that thing in his hand is at the start of this/? cheers
Miss the original lineup
fuck yeah!!
watch out dude dont slip on the banana peel !
...Where the hell do you hear U2 in ASIWYFA?!
The black and white sticker on the guitar that looks like it says kok? Anyone know what thats from?
Kapitan Korsakov
Coleraine to be precise ;)
@smilingemovlogs Norn Iron. Belfast. Ish.
Where are they from?
0:35
E-Bow
Fire in my heart '!!!!!!!!!!! IM ALIVE !!!!!
Is he playin his combo with the marshal box? And if Yes how?
External speaker output. 7 years too late, apologies
Can anyone understand the lyrics???
well it is not so easy, maybe it is irish no?
its mad how you can just spot nordies
That drummer has a very odd set up it's like he's playing both ways. :o
they always play LOUD. Listen to it LOUD.
are these the 90's?
I mean post rock pretty much started in the 90s
Ja sa
E-bow
Pity the other lad left, but his solo actoutic stuff is great too, guess he had to do it.
Belfast
When you listed to much "can't stop" from the peppers
didn't notice it 'till I read your comment
Me either. Kind of a good thing honestly. I'm sure they only liked then as much as us though
It's called an ebow
Face-melt: It begins with a tingly sensation on the back of your neck. It suddenly spreads all over and is followed by every single hair on your body standing on end. Next thing you know, you're spooning your face up from your desk...
Ah
this is more math influenced instrumental punk - as the band calls it. they don't like being classified as post-rock, and they don't even stick to this genre :)
i miss the red guy
we all do tbh :(
Likewise
He has his own material out now under verse chorus verse
Also enjoys a cycle round botanic area of Belfast
Why is "The most horrible band you'll ever see" a related video to this, and why does it have 20 times the amount of views?
the drummer is left handed?
Alphabeta i think no, his hithat is on his left (right handeds standart). the only thing strange is his ride, which's on his left too. I don't know, maybe just preference
Isaac Batista its just the way he learned how to play when he started
Alphabeta Watch Ilan Rubin or try Drummers against implied time keeping.
Alphabeta His downbeats are with his right hand when he's playing fast : ua-cam.com/video/SRnLceE-0rs/v-deo.htmlm38s
so... probably not left handed
+Alphabeta Probably open handed
@BottleCapFacts louder
It's from a Belgian band called Kapitan Korsakov (KKK). You should look them up sometime ;)
ebow
