In my country New Zealand which is a nationality, the people are made up of many ethnic groups, majority being european/pakeha maori pacifika asian etc etc, of course not all are New Zealanders by birth or naturlised but people also want to be connected to their culture, not just only being a NZer, like maori people would just about always identify as being maori first, NZer second, where most pakeha would just identify as being a NZer first an only, still some keep strong heritage links.

Of course, I wasn't even 18 yet. But after that, I honestly wasn't sure what I was supposed to say.
