I have been working on my truck all day and didn't listen to any music, but now I'm sipping on some caramel flavored herbal tea and playing this..Im beginning to drift..goodnight from Florida, USA
Mike, you have SOOO many albums which just blow me away, but you have TOTALLY and COMPLETELY outdone yourself in this album. From the beginning to about 20.54, I don't know if I want to cry with mixed emotions, pray, rejoice or come apart at the seams. This is NOT "sleep" music for me. It's deeply meditative to me. Thank you SOOOO much for posting this. I'm VERY grateful.
You hit the nail on the head. This is music not for sleeping, but to help you explore what happens while you sleep. Thank you very much for your kind words. It's humbling to make such an impact.
Like in a space movie, or ending with subtitles leaving the audience with mystery and still thinking of the plot... I can feel the pure ecstasy and joy in my heart. Beautiful, good and powerful energy...
There's no set number of volumes planned. I'll continue making them until I feel it's time to end the series. I don't foresee that being anytime soon. ;)
I would love to hear a space ambient collaboration with you and Steve Roach. You are definitely in his league my friend. Different styles but both of the ethereal plane and beyond !
Huaauuuuuu now i recognize you ... okkkk !!! I repeat ... drone-music do it all ... too .... hahahaha scherzoooo I'm a retired photographer. kisses Haaaa ... insist ... insert strum. Acoustic guitars (sitar, guitar, violins, violoncelli, tabla etc By the Force
You're correct. The Sleep Theory series was never about sleeping (nor was it created to be a sleeping aid), it's about dreaming and where the mind takes you while you sleep.
But for me it works as a "sleeping aid". And sure that I reach somewhere, but "Session 7" helps me to calm and embrace sleep. Even the composer's intention was not that.

Mike, this album is so good that I've fallen completely asleep before the 2nd track (no joke). But I promise that I will donate ;)
This is one of the few genres of music out there where the artist won't take offense if the listener falls asleep. ;)
Thanks!
You captured the best of both worlds Mike
Thanks Jason.

I'm glad you're enjoying it. :) Thanks.
Meh....I like the sound,...but I don't think that "sleeping" is what I think of when I hear this piece. I like Altus stuff, though.

@@altusmusic_ca Ah! That's actually a pretty neat concept. Thanks for the reply! :-)
