For the clear part page protectors work really well and are cheap at the dollar store. This is a great idea for ephemera that is pretty on both sides that I don’t want to glue down. I’m late to the party but thanks! ❤
I think it would be fun to make these with fabric swatches from a wedding or home decor project, maybe paint chips from a renovation. Those bits of things we like to keep!
Great ideas! Here in the UK I have bought small self-adhesive laminating pockets (for making ID badges) no machine needed, and perfect for specimen cards like these!
Thank you so much Sharna, I really really enjoyed watching you create these amazing and inspiring specimen cards.this is so inspirational and given me lots of ideas too. Please stay safe and well too xxxx Mags ❤❤❤❤ I love ❤❤❤ all your ideas too.

I made actual specimen cards. Went imto my garden, picked a few tiny flowers, dried them then put between acetate stuck to cards with 2 faced tape and glue.
Hi Shana: Love how you crafted all of them! You got me running to my craft room. So creative. Thank you for all your ideas. Always enjoy watching your videos. 💜😎🇺🇸
thank you, thank you, thank you for so many great ideas! ❤️ Why did I always make things so complicated for myself with the frames? 🤷♀️ Best wishes Tammi 🖐😘
Now I am kicking myself! Why does it always happen that when I 'declutter', I suddenly find a use for something I tossed? I had saved clear packaging that would have been great for windows. All of it was heavy plastic and I had saved it for shrink-art projects (that I never got around to ;) ). Now I need to buy something for the clear plastic! LOL!
Question: with the first specimen window u made (the flimsy bubbly one). Would passing an iron over it help "melt it" shut and give it strength/substance? Protect ur iron, of course. I ask bc we get so much in everyday packaging.
Dear Shanouki Tks a bunch. This is the first time I heard of Specimen cards. Also I learnt to use bk pages to create a border around the piece of acetate. I hv a question. Do specimen cards only use acetate as the base

Yes, that would look awesome x
I like the full napkin image works well, but I like how you showed it cut back too.
Oh my god, what a clever idea to glue the paper around the window! I am way to lazy to cut out the windows but this looks so simple. Thank you ❤❤❤

The backs of my transparent stickers are probably good pieces of scrap to use as your window piece. Some are not scored cutting sticker out!

You can also stamp with pigment ink on the inner side of a laminating sheet and then laminate it. Looks lovely in white ink for a Christmas theme.

Wow very creative 👏🏼 thank you for sharing! Other than decoupage what other glue works best with acetate or with laminate?
Craft glue, anything that dries clear ☺️❤️
so clever
❤️
Hiya, I love these.. But what glue do you use so that it's invisible through the laminate? 😊
Glue stick 🤗

Nope, you can use anything that is transparent or semi-transparent: plastic, cellophane, vellum ❤
