I love the 4 new tracks and the best is without a doubt Nowhere to Run. A top 5 80's KISS song for me. I remember when this album was hard to find- at least in my area {Cadillac Michigan!) but I flipped when I found a copy in Detroit at a record store before the MTV Animalize concert! What a day THAT was!
My brother got me into kiss and I think it was destroyer or love gun so that would be 76 or 77 that I got into them. I’m just a year older than you are.

Bought my cassette the day it came out in a video store called Video Video,it was a sunny afternoon,I believe and I just figured it was just another greatest hits comp.--the new tunes i didn`t even realize were on there til it was in my double decker boom box....If it had KISS on it,my lawn-mowing money was spilled onto the counter,before I could even think about it......The intro to "Nowhere To Run" STILL sends chills into my brain...don`t know how many times I replayed that friggin` intro.....Loved the record,loved the new tracks..........I`ve got a question:did you ever check out the indie(I`m assuming)record"The Best of KISS"....I FOUND a copy of the cassette laying on the side of the road and just happened to be walking my lawnmower on that road and divine intervention took over and I found the friggin` thing--no cover,but a professionally-made label on the tape itself.....I don`t know ifit`s a foreign record,but it had a handful of "Elder" songs,and they were the newest on the album at the time,so I slid it in between "Unmasked" and "Creatures..".....Anyway,just wondering..............Steve
the only difference between I was Made For Loving You on Dynasty and this, this is 10 seconds less. now I gotta find the removed 10 seconds The missing 10 seconds is 5 seconds removed at the start, and 5 seconds at the end
'I'm a Legend Tonight' is good but the other new tracks are nothing special. If Kiss was trying to salvage their career after The Elder, why wasn't Killers released in America? Also, 'Friends' is better than 'The Office'?!!! Blasphemy! Just kidding. LOL! Your channel is cool, please do more Kiss. I like to see different opinions on Kiss' career throughout their career.
I've said it before,and I will say it again. I think The Elder could've been better received,if they had a movie to go along with it. Which they claim was the plan.(Allegedly) Could've been interesting to see a movie with the elder as soundtrack. But i think that ship has sailed. Nowhere to run,and Legend tonight, I think, was my favorite back in the day.
I remember first hearing The Elder, after years of hearing how bad it was....and actually quite liked it. Maybe if I'd heard it at time of release after being a fan for a while it may have been different, but I heard it years after the release and thought it was fine.
@@VampireJack10 Well, like I said, it has a certain soundtrack vibe to it. If I remember correctly, it was about a boy who has to go on a quest in order to fetch something or become something. A man, perhaps?. That being said, I think Gene "borrowed" heavily from Homer's iliads. The album even has a song called Odessy. Probably hoping the audience was too young and too naive to see the connection. But not a bad album. I guess it's one of the very few they have,that no songs has any metaphor for sex in them
In Germany, by the way, "Down on your knees" was the single and the B-side was "Nowhere to run". I would have done it the other way around. Yes - Paul Stanley's vocal performance was quite strong. But I would have liked to have had a Gene song on the album... but it was more concerned with Hollywood films and women than with the band. Unfortunately, due to the known problems, Ace was not a factor that could have made a meaningful contribution at this point.😎🍻🥃 Overall, Killers is a mix of Best of and Paul Stanley solo albums. I would have liked a more balanced album at this point. It's not just Ace's fault that this didn't happen! It is also and especially due to genes! - It's a shame! This was a great odd KISS Album. We were lucky here in Melbourne Australia to get this. Also, now that Ace's album is out, i wanna hear your brutal review of each song, i need a laugh 😂
I'm really looking forward to the review and ratings of each song. I've been giving the album home since Monday and have enjoyed 2 listens so far on my Sonos sound system.
Love the 4 original tracks on Killers, Paul Stanleys vocals on all of them, especially Nowhere to Run is great!
100% agree with you, always rated Paul's solo album as the best of the lot and was always my favorite member of the band
