- What's going on my gold fanatics! It's Brandon with Isenhour Outdoors and Reviews. I received several comments from several of you asking for a video on a 1-year update on my 5mm 18kt Franco chain so here it is. Pretty much been my daily everyday wear and is still like new when I first received it. Brings such an amazing presence and the quality and durability can't be beat! If you shower with it you’ll never have to clean it. I know it sounds crazy but I have a 5mm Franco from jacoje 14kt yellow gold. I don’t even wash it in the shower but just from the soap going onto it after I get out and dry off it’s like Braden just sent it to me. It’s actually wild. I abuse the hell out of my chain anyway I can and had it for 1-2 years and she’s like brand new. They are super durable.
Yea. I know I could shower with it and abuse it and it would still hold up. That’s just the way I am with all my high item things. They’ll always last if you take good care of them
I have owned my Franco 5mm 18 k 28 inch 123 gram for over 1 and a half years now. No it does not feel obtrusive, it feels awesome, I also have a 1 oz 24 k gold buffalo on a pendant hanging, total weight with pendant is 157 grams , love them combo, also wear a 22 k 4 mm 24 inch heavy link, with a gold eagle 1 oz on it total 100 grams. Wearing these pretty regularly, not a single issue ever, not 1 problem, if any 1 thinks that these chains will just bend up , well I am here to tell different, I wear them to work and I work out in them and shower with them. Not 1 issue, people stop being gullible, . The value in these chains alone is worth it especially when the metals rise. And yes you can easily hang a pendant on either with zero issues
Yup. They’re very durable but I still make sure to take really good care of them. Not sure if I could ever put a pendant on a 22kt chain cause it would definitely scratch it sliding back and forth. Would love to get a rope or Franco 22kt and put the bear pendant 22kt on it but know it would scratch up sliding around
@@isenhouroutdoors8530 you can hang any thing you want on a 22k , scratches ? No 1 will see the scratches even you. It is only metal

Just watched your video again. I just love your chain! It really is a thing of beauty. Braden really does have the best stuff. I had never heard of a Franco chain until I started watching his videos. The rope used to be my favorite style, but the Franco chain just outshines and outclasses the rope by miles. 😍 Also, I love your Jacoje shirt and hat. Those are really cool too.

I’ve got the identical chain and it’s between 2-3 years old. It still dazzles every time I clean it in my ultrasonic cleaner. That chain will stay in my collection. I want a 3mm Byzantine next but in 22” length.
Yea. It’s a phenomenal chain!! Would love to have a Byzantine chain in 22kt someday. Maybe like a 5.5mm.
That's my dream chain really. I keep thinking about the Franco, 4MM or 5MM, but the one I keep wanting most is the 5MM 18 karat 22 inch Franco. I love the way it looks on you in the video. @@isenhouroutdoors8530 I would be, but I’m not going to have the funds until closer to Christmas. That’s my savings plan for my own chain. Not sure how long you could wait. I’m pretty sure you’re going to want that 22kt soon as possible. 😃

Franco’s are hard to beat man! I just sold this one as I’m waiting to get a 5mm 22kt.

I have a 5mm Franco 14kt from jacoje and I wear it daily in the shower, ocean, pool, at the gym everytime and it shines and is in the same condition as the day I bought it. Hope that helps. Get yourself a piece that lasts a lifetime for everyday wear

I just got an 18k 4m Franco from saints gold. Man it looks amazing. Posted on my channel. I feel like I noticed it more the darker reddish undertone being that it’s a little bigger than the 3m I had. I also picked up a 22k Franco from Hawaii rope chains. You right the color is night and day difference bro 😩
I have a 26 inch 4mm franco. I love it i has a thinner 22 inch franco before but i upgraded and i love the style and i get lots of compliments. I hope to upgrade to a thicker franco but 24 inch 🤞

If at all possible, also keep this 18k chain and buy another 22k chain if you want. This chain will only go up in value as gold keeps going up over time! Also, you may want to wear this one on days when you don't want too bright yellow gold. Both will be beautiful and have their own place!

What specifically do you use to clean your gold?
I have a question for you. The weight of the chain is 107 grams as you said. How did that feel when you first put it on? Did you get used to the weight right away? Or does the heavy feeling kind of linger but not to the point of irritation since it’s an everyday chain. I’m still interested too by the way.
I def felt it right away. Definitely noticeable however not bothersome in the slightest. After a few days, couldn’t even tell I was wearing one. Also it’s not too heavy to where when you take it off it still feels like it’s on. It’s a perfect every day chain weight. Made me even want heavier chains
Does this pull on your neck hair at all? Or does it feel sharp? My neck sometimes gets irritated so I rarely wear my rope chain diamond cut because it feels sharp. Miami cuban sits really flat and nice on my neck so I dont even notice my 7mm most of the time. Hows the neck feel on this more rounded chain?
It’s an extremely comfortable wear. It may grab a hair maybe once every 2-3 months but any chain you wear can do that.
@@isenhouroutdoors8530 appreciate the feedback. My miami cuban doesn’t feel like it ever pulls hair. I almost forget I’m wearing it sometimes because its so smooth and flat. I assume these francos have more presence because of the roundedness. Just seeing if they are as uncomfortable as rope chains are for me. Guess I will need to try it on somehow!
Yea. Even though my chain is 107.6 grams, it never feels like I’m wearing anything. Very comfortable

@@iownjimmyI’ve never worn a Cuban. Never liked the flat link style chains. I haven’t worn a solid rope yet. It’s next on my list but with it being the most popular style chain in the world, it can’t be that uncomfortable
Jealous bro! i got a 6mm 18k 22” Miami Cuban from Daniel Jewelry Inc. and a 5mm 14k 22” Franco from Jacoje too. i should have just went with a 18k 5mm Franco 😅 but the thing i’m concerned about is the tiny bail and 18k softness. i can already see a tiny bit of wear on the thin bail of my 14k 5mm Franco and i had it for about a year. and i baby my chains too, SAME thing regarding the seatbelts in cars 😂
Lol. Glad to see I’m not the only anal person that babies their chains. I’ve not really seen any wear honestly on my 18kt franco. Also just got a 22kt franco bracelet that you can watch in my vids as well. It hasn’t gotten any wear however I haven’t worn it as much either. Make sure to sub if you haven’t already. Thanks for the comment Conner. I’m very anal with things I spend a lot of money on so it’s a big peace of mind thing plus the advantage of that is, it always stays looking new. I’d hate to spend a ton of money on something and in a few years it looks all beat up personally.

I think the 22 karat chains might come in March or something. I emailed Braden, asking when the 22k chains might come in. He said two to three months if I recall correctly. Has your chain been sold yet? It’s a beauty. It’s my dream chain for sure.

Hey bud. Thanks for the comment. Most definitely but just like with anything you have to take care of it. The franco chain is the most durable chain out there that you can buy. I’m very careful with mine just to be on the safe side but sleep in it and wear it 24/7 and still looks brand new. Make sure to sub if you would if you like these kinds of vids. Thanks again!

I own a 18k 3m dc Franco. But it doesn’t look like 18k. Well lighter color than most 18k. Why is that? Almost like 14k
Hmm. Not sure. You sure it wasn’t 14k and plated in 18kt? Could be it. Have you taken to a jeweler to confirm it’s 18kt?
@@isenhouroutdoors8530 yes I took it to a jeweler and they confirmed it it’s real. I posted it on my channel. It’s probably the manufacturer. 18k dc francos are somewhat lighter than plain ones
If it is stamped 18k, then that’s what it is. Sometimes there can be color differences though, depends on the gold process. But it should be 18 karat if stamped that way.

14k&18k aren’t so different. 22k+ is a whole different beast as far as the look. I two chain 3.5mm Franco’s @20” in white and yellow and absolutely love them 🤙🏼
Yeah, 14 and 18 next to each other are very similar in color. But 18 karat is still beautiful and has more color than the paler 14k.
