    LYRICS:
One more wasted morning when I could be holding you to my side
Somebody stop this joyless joy ride
I’m feeling older than my 35 years
One more cryptic message thinking that I might end it
Oh God, you must have woken up to me saying that it’s all too much
I’ll take it easy with the morbid stuff
Oh, honey I’m worried about you
    You’re too much to lose
    You’re all that I have
And honey I’m worried about you
    Put yourself in my shoes
You’re all that I have, so please don’t die
    Wherever you are tonight
All these pointless benders with reptilian strangers
Oh my God, you’re so naïve
You’ll leave this world in a drunken heap
Who’ll make the arrangements, baby them or me?
    Honey, I’m worried about you
    You’re too much to lose
    You’re all that I have
And honey, I’m worried about you
    Put yourself in my shoes
    You’re all that I have
    You’re all that I have
You’re all that I have, so please don’t die
    Wherever you are tonight

I used to worry and cry to this song over my love when he was deep in addiction. Things got a little better, with time. This November is a year since he passed. I never truly thought he'd go.

@@JC-xv8jl First of all, I'm deeply sorry for your loss. While it doesn't always provide comfort, my fiancé expressed relief by saying, "Oh… I’m just so glad you survived." I've been sober for almost 5 years now, and this album holds great significance for us both, as a very significant reminder to never lose the hope. So to us, it symbolizes the importance of maintaining hope, because losing it can lead to a loss of self-belief in the person in addiction. So it doesn’t always. I truly believe addiction is only cured by love, whatever that means, is for anyone in addiction to look for. Sending you all a big hug, from one that got out of it after a decade-long bender.

Wow this hits home hard. I've experienced several deaths of loved ones by suicide and even years later I still think to myself "If I had only did this thing differently maybe they would still be alive." and things of that nature. People that are contemplating suicide have no idea the effects it will have on loved ones if they follow through with it. To them it may be a permanent solution to a temporary problem, but it affects your loved ones for the rest of their lives.

    • @willingram2021
      @willingram2021 6 років тому +6

chad lindgren sorry for your pain, but life isn't a temporary problem! For some of us, we understand our mortality that were all checking out anyway! If we do it on your own terms, as opposed to waiting for somebody to stop needing us, I guess what I'm saying is it's selfish for somebody to want us to stick around when we don't want to, and on the other side of the coin it selfish for us to leave when people clearly still need something, I'm sure that sounds insane! from my warped mind, I'm not trying to be insensitive! The truth is nobody can stop anything like that from happening! We, most Certainly cannot stop death! I also have an atheist so I may have a little to do with my ideology! Take care everybody out there for real!
Basically just ranting about my own beliefs for myself I certainly don't advocate anything taking themself out.

What I like about this video is that while he's singing about being worried about her dying he's fighting off death himself. It's as if her being with him is the thing keeping him alive. Perhaps that's why he says he'll take it easy with the "Morbid stuff", like they lie in bed and he tells her how death calls to him when she's away, and it's too much for her to handle so she goes out drinking.

    I am stunned
In late October 2017, days before our third anniversary I said goodbye to my partner who was hospitalized due to Bipolar and schizoid affective disorder. The result of them failing to take medications and substance abuse led to arrests for domestic battery, quitting their Job and our being evicted from our home. I realized they would never address these issues if I continued enabling them and begin to address my own issues of Autism Spectrum Disorder, chronic depression, PTSD, and chronic substance/ Self Medicating. Now after eight months of separation, this week we are reuniting in a new apartment and commencing with our relationship. This song and others from FJM's Gods Favorite Customer, released tomorrow provide an unerring soundtrack to this period of introspection and growth. Thank you so much for articulating the rain falling in our hearts. Exquisite and graceful.
    Love and Mercy,
    Punch.
